The mission of the International Journal of Literature and Language Studies (IJLLS) is to provide readers with the development of language studies in linguistics and literature. In addition to manuscripts that center on the study, we welcome manuscripts on a wide range of topics relating to the technology used for language development, cultural impact on languages, computational linguistics, and philosophy of language. IJLLS publishes scholarly conceptual, theoretical, and empirical manuscripts on the study of language and focused on literature and linguistic analysis and development. Submissions to the journal should be readable and understandable by a wide audience. Manuscripts should therefore also focus on analysis or illustration of the issues covered, rather than merely providing a mathematical or technical coverage, which would be more suitable for a specialist journal. All manuscripts are submitted and reviewed electronically. We provide our published authors with both a quality publication and the widespread readership that comes from publishing all manuscripts online within a few weeks of acceptance. This approach ensures that published works are read and cited by the widest possible audience.

Abstract

Proverbs are an essential component of every nation’s linguistic and cultural heritage. They preserve collective experience, moral values, traditions, and social norms that have been formed over centuries. In linguoculturology, proverbs are studied as linguistic units reflecting the worldview, mentality, and cultural identity of a particular people. This article examines the role of proverbs in linguoculture and analyzes their functions as carriers of cultural knowledge. The study explores the theoretical foundations of linguoculture, the characteristics of proverbs, and the relationship between language and culture. In addition, the article provides a linguocultural analysis of English and Uzbek proverbs, focusing on cultural values, symbolism, imagery, and national mentality. The comparative analysis demonstrates that although many proverbs express universal human experiences, their figurative meanings and cultural associations differ according to historical, social, and cultural contexts. The research highlights the importance of proverbs in preserving cultural memory and promoting intercultural understanding.

Abstract

The analysis of linguistic, grammatical, and stylistic expression of communicative strategies and tactics used in diplomatic discourse was done based on a large number of examples chosen from real diplomatic documents (statements, conventions, manifestos, messages) and a survey of diplomats from various nations. The exploration of the language's syntactic structure in diplomatic documents highlighted the need to closely compare syntactic phenomena with morphological and lexical phenomena. Diplomatic documents serve as model texts for diplomatic discourse and are analyzed as such. The typology of diplomatic documents is described, their discursive qualities, styles, lexico-semantic, syntactic, and pragmatic features are examined, and suitable translation strategies are developed.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of using Bloom’s Taxonomy-based lesson planning on the development of speaking skills among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. A quasi-experimental design was employed with 40 intermediate-level students divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received instruction through lessons structured according to Bloom’s Taxonomy, while the control group was taught using traditional methods. Data were collected through pre- and post-speaking tests and classroom observations. The results indicate that students in the experimental group demonstrated greater improvement in speaking fluency, coherence, and confidence. The findings suggest that structured lesson planning based on cognitive levels enhances learners’ ability to produce meaningful spoken language. The study highlights the importance of integrating higher-order thinking skills into EFL lesson design.

Abstract

This article analyzes the pedagogical and psychological aspects of using ethical dilemmas in developing sanogenic reflection in students. In modern higher education, the formation of a professionally competent and morally responsible personality requires not only theoretical knowledge and practical skills, but also the ability to make conscious decisions in complex situations, regulate emotional reactions, understand personal values, and reflect constructively on one’s own behavior. In this context, sanogenic reflection is considered an important psychological and pedagogical mechanism that helps students analyze their thoughts, emotions, motives, and actions in a healthy, constructive, and development-oriented way.
