The mission of the International Journal of Literature and Language Studies (IJLLS) is to provide readers with the development of language studies in linguistics and literature. In addition to manuscripts that center on the study, we welcome manuscripts on a wide range of topics relating to the technology used for language development, cultural impact on languages, computational linguistics, and philosophy of language. IJLLS publishes scholarly conceptual, theoretical, and empirical manuscripts on the study of language and focused on literature and linguistic analysis and development. Submissions to the journal should be readable and understandable by a wide audience. Manuscripts should therefore also focus on analysis or illustration of the issues covered, rather than merely providing a mathematical or technical coverage, which would be more suitable for a specialist journal. All manuscripts are submitted and reviewed electronically. We provide our published authors with both a quality publication and the widespread readership that comes from publishing all manuscripts online within a few weeks of acceptance. This approach ensures that published works are read and cited by the widest possible audience.

Abstract

The translation of realia—culture-specific words and expressions denoting objects, phenomena, or concepts characteristic of a particular nation—presents one of the most persistent challenges in translation studies. This article examines the theoretical foundations of equivalence as applied to linguocultural realia, analyzing the tension between semantic fidelity and cultural accessibility. Drawing on equivalence theory, the study explores how translators navigate situations where direct lexical correspondences are absent between source and target languages. The analysis demonstrates that equivalence in realia translation operates on multiple levels—lexical, semantic, pragmatic, and cultural—and that the translator's choice of strategy depends on text type, audience expectations, and the sociocultural distance between the communicating communities. The article concludes that absolute equivalence is theoretically unattainable in realia translation; instead, translators must pursue functional equivalence that preserves the cultural information load while ensuring comprehensibility for the target audience.

Abstract

The rapid integration of artificial intelligence into educational assessment has opened new avenues for evaluating independent learning processes. This article examines the key directions for employing AI in the assessment methodology of self-directed learning, synthesizing recent empirical evidence and theoretical frameworks. The analysis identifies four primary assessment trajectories: automated formative feedback, intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive analytics dashboards, and performance-based authentic assessment redesign. Drawing on meta-analytic findings from 32 empirical studies and systematic reviews, the article demonstrates that AI-based interventions significantly enhance cognitive and metacognitive regulation, while effects on behavioral regulation remain variable. The findings indicate that conversational and interactive AI systems yield the broadest benefits for self-directed learning, whereas supportive and analytical tools strengthen specific regulatory subprocesses. The article concludes with recommendations for educators and policymakers on aligning AI design with pedagogical goals to ensure that AI functions as an empowering scaffold rather than a substitute for learner autonomy.

Abstract

This article analyzes the role of national values in spiritual and moral education through pedagogical, axiological and sociocultural approaches. The central thesis is that national values are not decorative elements of educational discourse, but systematic pedagogical resources that shape moral choice, social responsibility, civic position and self-awareness. The study relies on theoretical analysis, content analysis, comparative-pedagogical generalization and conceptual modeling. The results identify the educational functions of national values, the mechanisms of integrating them into the learning process and their practical application in extracurricular educational activities. The article argues that values should not remain at the level of formal slogans; they should be implemented through curricula, pedagogical communication, collective activity, family cooperation and a coherent institutional educational environment.

Abstract

The development of digital educational technologies has created new opportunities for organizing natural science lessons in primary education. One of these opportunities is the use of virtual excursions, which enable pupils to observe natural objects, ecosystems, museums, protected areas, laboratories, and geographical locations without leaving the classroom. This article examines the pedagogical and methodological foundations of using virtual excursions in primary school natural science lessons. It analyses the educational potential, structure, types, implementation stages, teaching methods, assessment criteria, and organizational conditions of virtual excursions. A three-stage methodology consisting of preparatory, implementation, and reflective-assessment phases is proposed. The article emphasizes that a virtual excursion should not be reduced to passive video watching. It must include a clearly defined learning objective, observation tasks, teacher guidance, interactive activities, group discussion, practical assignments, and reflection.

Abstract

. This article summarizes the final results of a comprehensive study on the integration, hierarchy and integrity of linguistic levels in the philological study of artistic text and outlines future research prospects. The interrelation of seven linguistic layers, from the phonetic-phonostylistic level to the pragmatic-cognitive level, and their functionality in forming a literary text as a holistic aesthetic system are examined through proven conclusions based on examples of Uzbek classical and modern literature. The role of alliteration, assonance, contextual meaning, synonymy, antonymy, phraseologisms, grammatical forms, sentence types, inversion, trope types and artistic arts in determining the individual author's style, as well as the main conclusions and recommendations on the theory of concepts and the analysis of the linguistic entity are formulated.

Abstract

This article explores the concept of the lyrical hero and its role in the poetic representation of female experience. The lyrical hero, as the artistic embodiment of the poet's emotions, thoughts, and worldview, serves as a crucial medium through which personal and collective female experiences are expressed in poetry. The study examines how female poets construct lyrical identities to articulate themes of selfhood, memory, motherhood, love, loss, social expectations, and the search for personal freedom. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the author's voice and the lyrical hero, highlighting the ways in which poetic subjectivity contributes to the formation of a distinct female perspective. Drawing on literary and comparative analysis, the article investigates the artistic means employed to represent women's inner worlds, including imagery, symbolism, metaphor, and narrative voice. It argues that the lyrical hero functions not only as a poetic persona but also as a cultural and psychological construct reflecting the complexities of female consciousness and experience. Through the examination of selected poetic texts, the study demonstrates how poetry becomes a space for negotiating identity, challenging stereotypes, and articulating women's experiences across different social and cultural contexts. The findings reveal that the lyrical hero plays a significant role in shaping the artistic representation of female experience, allowing poets to transform personal emotions into universal poetic meanings. The research contributes to contemporary literary studies by expanding the understanding of gendered subjectivity and the poetic mechanisms through which women's voices are expressed and interpreted.

Abstract

This article analyzes the religious processes in Maverannahr, the introduction of Islam during the period of the Arab conquest, the attitude of the local population toward the new religion, and the formation of the religious environment on the basis of the work History of Bukhara or Transoxiana by the nineteenth-century orientalist and traveler Herman Vámbéry. The author's information is studied through historical-comparative and source-critical methods, and the spread of Islam is assessed not only as a religious phenomenon but also as a political and cultural process. The results of the study demonstrate that Islamization in Maverannahr was a complex historical process that lasted for a long period.

Abstract

The study of human behavior has become one of the main issues in modern linguistics due to the anthropocentric orientation of contemporary language research. Human behavior is represented and perceived through linguistic means, particularly through lexical and grammatical units that encode actions, emotions, intentions, and social interactions. This article examines the significance of linguistic and cognitive approaches in the verbalization of human behavior. The research points out the role of language as a tool for representing behavioral patterns and explores the cognitive mechanisms underlying the conceptualization of behavior. By integrating linguistic and cognitive perspectives, the study demonstrates how language reflects cultural values, social norms, and individual experiences. The findings reveal that behavior-related linguistic units serve not only communicative functions but also cognitive and cultural functions, contributing to the formation of a linguistic worldview.
