The mission of the International Journal of Literature and Language Studies (IJLLS) is to provide readers with the development of language studies in linguistics and literature. In addition to manuscripts that center on the study, we welcome manuscripts on a wide range of topics relating to the technology used for language development, cultural impact on languages, computational linguistics, and philosophy of language. IJLLS publishes scholarly conceptual, theoretical, and empirical manuscripts on the study of language and focused on literature and linguistic analysis and development. Submissions to the journal should be readable and understandable by a wide audience. Manuscripts should therefore also focus on analysis or illustration of the issues covered, rather than merely providing a mathematical or technical coverage, which would be more suitable for a specialist journal. All manuscripts are submitted and reviewed electronically. We provide our published authors with both a quality publication and the widespread readership that comes from publishing all manuscripts online within a few weeks of acceptance. This approach ensures that published works are read and cited by the widest possible audience.

Abstract

This article examines MJ.Iuppa’s “Secondhand” through a poetic analysis. The story reveals the inner feelings, aspirations, and emotional states of the character through depictions of everyday life. The study focuses on the use of visual imagery, metaphors, and the representation of the character’s inner world. Through simple everyday situations, the author successfully conveys deep human emotions. As a result, the significance of poetic expression and artistic devices in portraying daily life is highlighted.

Abstract

This article is devoted to a scholarly analysis of allegorical art in the work “The Convicted Mouse” by one of the prominent representatives of Korean literature, Leem Jae. The study examines the artistic and aesthetic characteristics of the symbolic images created in the work, as well as their socio-philosophical significance. These images are interpreted not only as literary devices but also as representations of specific social strata, human character types, and various categories of individuals within society.

Abstract

This article examines the aesthetic nature, power, and magical properties of the artistic word in the short story "G'oz" (The Goose) by the People's Poet of Uzbekistan, Usmon Azim. It also explores the evolutionary development of epic traditions in contemporary Uzbek prose. Built upon the foundation of national mythological thinking and the ideological-artistic layers of the folk heroic epic "Alpamysh," the study analyzes the author's skill in creating a bakhshi-style (bardic) tone. The philosophy and tragic essence that form the core of the story reveal the magic and power of the word, as well as human will, the inevitability of fate, and issues of national honor.

Abstract

This article examines the evolution of the female image in English literature through the works of Jane Austen, Charlotte Brontë, and Virginia Woolf. The study argues that the literary representation of woman changes from a socially regulated subject in Austen, to a morally and emotionally self-defining heroine in Brontë, and finally to a modernist consciousness in Woolf. The article focuses on the connection between female character, narrative voice, social space, education, marriage, economic dependence, and inner freedom. By comparing Elizabeth Bennet, Jane Eyre, and Woolfian female figures, the research demonstrates that English literature gradually transformed the woman from an object of social expectation into an active interpreter of her own existence. The image of woman is therefore not merely a thematic element but a structural principle through which English prose explores ethics, identity, and cultural change.

Abstract

This article comparatively examines the genesis, mythopoetic essence, and artistic-philosophical interpretations of the images of Qaqnus in Eastern mythology and the Phoenix in Western mythology. The study analyzes the origins of these legendary birds, their symbolic meanings, and their functional characteristics within literary traditions. Particular attention is paid to the image of Qaqnus in Eastern classical literature, especially in relation to Sufi philosophy, where it symbolizes the concepts of fana (self-annihilation), baqa (eternal existence), spiritual purification, and the attainment of perfection. The article also explores interpretations of the Phoenix as a symbol of rebirth, eternity, cosmic cyclicality, and divine resurrection in Ancient Egyptian, Greco-Roman, and Christian cultures. Furthermore, the archetypal foundations, similarities, and differences of both images are analyzed through the lens of C. G.Jung’s theory of archetypes. The findings demonstrate that Qaqnus and the Phoenix are significant mythological symbols embodying the universal ideas of immortality, renewal, and spiritual elevation in the artistic consciousness of humanity.

Abstract

The hero archetype is a universal figure in world literature, symbolizing courage, leadership, and transformation. Drawing on Jung's (1968) theory of archetypes and Campbell's (2008) concept of the Hero's Journey, this article compares the representation of the archetypal hero in the Arthurian cycle and the Turkic epic Alpamysh. The analysis demonstrates that both Arthur and Alpamysh share common heroic traits, including extraordinary origins, transformative trials, and devotion to their communities. However, each hero reflects the cultural values of his society: Arthur embodies medieval Christian ideals of kingship and chivalry, while Alpamysh represents Turkic values of honor, loyalty, and tribal solidarity (Mirzayev, 1999; Reichl, 2007). The study highlights both the universality and cultural specificity of the hero archetype.

Abstract

Annotation: This article provides a broad analysis of Virginia Woolf's aesthetic views and the formation of her conception of modernist prose. Her manifesto-articles "Modern Fiction" (1925) and "Mr Bennett and Mrs Brown" (1923), which constitute the theoretical foundation of Woolf's work, are analyzed, and their connection with her artistic practice is shown. Woolf's critique of Edwardian fiction, her concept of inner reality and "moments of being," as well as the influences of Bergson, James, and Roger Fry, are examined. The study evaluates Woolf's aesthetic conception within the context of English modernism and demonstrates its artistic expression in her novels "Mrs Dalloway" and "To the Lighthouse."

Abstract

Diplomatic language represents a highly specialized domain of institutional discourse characterized by precision, convention, and strategic ambiguity. The present study explores the theoretical foundations and functional usage of diplomatic terms within international communication, with particular emphasis on their pragmatic, semantic, and discursive dimensions. Drawing on approaches from lexicology, discourse analysis, and pragmatics, the article examines how diplomatic terminology operates not merely as a system of lexical units but as a tool for negotiation, conflict management, and international cooperation. The research highlights the inherent duality of diplomatic terms, which simultaneously convey explicit meaning and implicit intention. The findings suggest that diplomatic vocabulary is shaped by historical conventions, institutional practices, and cultural factors, and its usage reflects both linguistic norms and political objectives. The article contributes to a deeper understanding of how language functions in diplomacy and provides insights relevant to comparative linguistic studies, particularly between English and Uzbek diplomatic discourse.
