Abstract

Musa Asy'arie is a professor of philosophy, but on the other hand has expertise in the field of entrepreneurship. This can be seen from both his scientific works and his involvement in practical economic activities. This very comprehensive mastery of the two scientific domains in Musa Asy'arie has its own charm to be studied and explored further, thus giving rise to a philosophical scientific paradigm that integrates with empirical applications in the realm of entrepreneurship. This research shows the critical thinking of a Musa Asy'arie towards the political policies of the leaders of the Indonesian nation from time to time, especially those related to the pattern of forming the nation's mental attitude, seen from a philosophical perspective

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the behavior of UIN Saizu students using The Theory Planned Behaviour (TPB) related to the intention to buy fashion products using a marketplace application with product knowledge as the moderating variable. The number of samples is 100 UIN Saizu students with purposive sampling technique. Partial Least Square (PLS) was used to analyze the data in this study. The results of this study indicate that attitudes have a positive relationship and have a significant effect on the purchase intention of fashion products through marketplace applications. Likewise, Perceived Behavior Control and product knowledge have an effect and have a positive relationship on the purchase intention of UIN Saizu students on fashion products using marketplace applications. While subjective norm have no significant effect on the intention to buy fashion products through the marketplace. Likewise, attitudes, subjective norm and perceived behaviour control moderating knowledge have no significant effect on purchase intention of fashion products through marketplace applications. Based on the conclusions above, it can be suggested in the following research to use knowledge as a mediating variable and add the factors used as variables that have been shown to influence behavioral intentions, especially in purchasing fashion products through marketplace applications.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the relationship between poverty and human development index to happiness rate in Indonesia through Islamic studies approach. This is because poverty Indonesia till become a prominent economic issue but, it has a high rate of happiness compared to another developed country in ASIA at the same time. Besides, to reach such happiness, it also needs a great human development as an indicator to create welfare of such countries. This is a quantitative research with multiple regressions, using macro-economic data since 2014 & 2017 from 33 provinces of Indonesia as a sample. The result revealed that poverty and human development index have a positive significant effect on happiness. Then, this empirical finding is in line with the concept of maqāṣid al-syariah, specifically hifdz al- dīn and hifdz al-‘aql.

Abstract

The occurrence of a high underwriting surplus will greatly benefit the company and have an impact on the level of public confidence in the services and products offered by sharia insurance so that people will choose the company as a place to do insurance. This requires the underwriter to carry out underwriting management properly so that there is an underwriting surplus. This study was conducted to determine the effect of premiums, claims and investment returns on the underwriting surplus of tabarru' funds for full sharia life insurance in Indonesia in 2015-2020. This research method is done through panel data regression. Research data in the form of secondary data with purposive sampling as a technique used in the research sample. Partially, the results show that premiums have a significant positive effect on the underwriting surplus, claims have a significant negative effect on the underwriting surplus, and investment returns have an insignificant negative effect on the underwriting surplus. Simultaneous testing shows that premiums, claims and investment returns have a significant effect on the underwriting surplus.

Abstract

This research aims to show service quality, internet banking, trust, and accessibility partially or simultaneously on customer satisfaction at Bank Syariah Indonesia Bengkalis sub-branch office. This research was built using a quantitative descriptive approach based on primary and secondary data in questionnaires and library literature. The population of this research is customers of the Bank Syariah Indonesia Bengkalis sub-branch office. Sampling using random sampling technique with a total sample of 98 people. Data analysis used multiple linear regression, previously tested using validity, reliability, and normality tests. This research shows that service quality, internet banking, trust, and accessibility have a positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction at the Bank Syariah Indonesia Bengkalis sub-branch office. Simultaneously, service quality, internet banking, trust, and accessibility significantly affect customer satisfaction at the Bank Syariah Indonesia Bengkalis sub-branch office.

Abstract

Monopolies and stockpiling in business are clear evidence of human greed stemming from capitalist individualism. Despite the bad impact, the majority of people will prefer and support individual freedom without being limited by regulations. Thus, amid intense competition in the capitalist economy, Islamic ethics is present in the business environment to provide guidance and offer approaches that are in line with the ethical values ​​adopted by society. This study aims to find out: 1) the similarities and differences between individualism in capitalism and Islam, 2) the moral views of Islamic economics on capitalist individualism. The research method uses descriptive qualitative and the main variables in this study are capitalist individualism and Islamic economic ethics. Based on the results of the research analysis shows that: 1) Mostly, the dimensions of individualism in capitalism and Islam are different. 2) The biggest difference lies in the orientation, where the capitalist is oriented to the quantity of material (materialistic) and rationality, while Islam is oriented to the balance of the world and the hereafter. 3) Islam is very synonymous with ethics or morals that are oriented to the Qur'an and Hadith, while capitalists adhere to the principles of self-interest and rationality. 4) While the similarities between the two lie in the recognition of individual ownership and enthusiasm in working or doing business.

Abstract

The pro-life skills movement towards Islamic boarding schools is quite encouraging. This is marked by a pro-active policy from the government that is more open in order to prepare pesantren alumni to take part in development participation. However, in the opinion of researchers, the opportunities provided are still independent grants. The point is, the government assistance is still in the form of mere material funds in the form of various entrepreneurial competitions as well as freelance fund faucets that emphasize the connectivity of Islamic boarding schools to the government and are non-auditing. Of course, this phenomenon will later lead to the pretension of unhealthy competition, stigma of nepotism and lead to apathy among Islamic boarding schools that are not covered by grant funds for these various government programs. On the other hand, the absence of auditing efforts on the progress of entrepreneurship assistance will cause the recipients of funds to be indifferent to the consequences of productivity and accountability. This discourse certainly requires an accurate integrative solution called continuous mentoring.

Abstract

The purpose of this aims to examine whether those four types of financing respectively impact ROA, revenue, and ROA through revenue at Islamic Commercial Banks in 2017-2020. This quantitative associative study analyzes data using the SPSS version 25 program. Also, SOBEL, a macro developed by Andrew F. Hayes which is integrated with SPSS, is used for testing the mediation effect. The population includes all Islamic Commercial Banks with samples of Islamic banks performing the transaction of the four financings are Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Bank Mandiri Syariah, BNI Syariah, BRI Syariah, Bank Jabar Banten Syariah, BCA Syariah, and Bukopin Syariah. The study shows that those financings simultaneously have a positive effect on ROA and revenue. In addition, revenue is able to mediate the influence of murabahah, mudharabah, and ijarah financing on ROA, but it fails to mediate musyarakah. This study concludes that the four financings are the factors that can affect the rise and fall of the ROA value and revenue of Islamic banks from the distribution of financing. Keywords: murabahah; mudharabah; musyarakah; ijarah; roa; revenue ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji apakah keempat jenis pembiayaan tersebut masing-masing mempengaruhi ROA, pendapatan, dan ROA melalui pendapatan pada Bank Umum Syariah tahun 2017-2020. Studi kuantitatif asosiatif ini menganalisis data dengan menggunakan program SPSS versi 25. Juga, SOBEL, makro yang dikembangkan oleh Andrew F. Hayes yang terintegrasi dengan SPSS, digunakan untuk menguji efek mediasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Bank Umum Syariah dengan sampel Bank Syariah yang melakukan transaksi keempat pembiayaan tersebut adalah Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Bank Mandiri Syariah, BNI Syariah, BRI Syariah, Bank Jabar Banten Syariah, BCA Syariah, dan Bukopin Syariah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembiayaan tersebut secara simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap ROA dan pendapatan. Selain itu, pendapatan mampu memediasi pengaruh pembiayaan murabahah, mudharabah, dan ijarah terhadap ROA, namun gagal memediasi musyarakah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keempat pembiayaan tersebut merupakan faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi naik turunnya nilai ROA dan pendapatan bank syariah dari penyaluran pembiayaan.

Abstract

The government of President Joko Widodo in the 2014-2020 is a government led by the main party of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP). It's party is nasionalism but in the policy of developing the Halal Industrial Area and Islamic Banking, many breakthroughs have been developed. Through the method of extracting data from the library datas, the Jokowi government from 2014 to 2020 (the limit of this research was carried out) has carried out many policies related to Halal Industrial Area and Islamic banking. In the political economy analysis of the Jokowi government's policies in the Halal Industrial Area sector and Islamic banking, it can be concluded that there is evidence of political intervention in the market like the Keynesian school. However, from the aspect of business actors or market regulation in the sector of Halal Industrial Area and Islamic banking, the Jokowi's government still gives freedom to the market like the Smithian school.

Abstract

The growth of sharia hotels in the hospitality industry is still foreign to the people of Indonesia, although halal tourism is starting to develop rapidly. One of the sharia hotels in the city of Medan is the Grand Jamee Medan Syariah Hotel. An Acehnese man founded this hotel to provide hospitality that upholds Islamic values. So he decided to use the sharia label. This study aims to determine whether the price and use of sharia labels in the hotel company Syariah Hotel Grand Jamee Medan affect consumer decisions to use hospitality services. Determination of the value is based on the Likert Scale respondents' opinions are given in each answer to the questionnaire. The population used in this study are all consumers who have used the hotel services products of Hotel Syariah Grand Jamee Medan. The number of samples in this study was 30 consumers of Hotel Syariah Grand Jamee Medan. The results of this study indicate that the pricing and use of sharia labels in the hotel company Syariah Hotel Grand Jamee Medan affect consumer decisions in using hospitality services. In the R Square analysis, the number 0.616 means that 61.6% of the dependent variable on consumer decisions to use services can be explained by the independent variable price and sharia label.
