Abstract

This article aims to analyze the dichotomies and intersections of public interest, evaluation studies, and policy changes, so as to provide policy evaluators with substantial understanding at both a conceptual and a comprehensive practice level. This research uses a type of research in the form of library research. Sources of data obtained from relevant literature, such as books, journals, or scientific articles related to the selected topic. The results of the research in this article show that the views of experts are focused on how the dynamics of policy issues vary. The main challenges in evaluation studies include the uncertainty of policy objectives, causality relationships, spread of policy influence, difficulty in obtaining data, and official resistance. Policy changes influenced by proposals for new policies may overlap, at least in part, with existing programs. Policy may create conditions that require change because of inadequate or conflicting effects.

Abstract

By Applying the CTL learning model, classroom action research offers benefits that allow students to produce content according to their understanding so that they can relate it to everyday life. The low student learning outcomes in the social studies class in class IV SD Negeri Gambarsari II are the first problem articulation, and the lack of student involvement in the IPS class in class IV SD Negeri Gambarsari II is the second. The research method used is classroom action research with a qualitative approach, which presents research data descriptively in the form of a presentation of the data studied. The results showed that 64.28% of students had acquired knowledge during the first cycle and 89.28% in cycle II. In other words, the CTL learning paradigm improves the ability of fourth-grade students in public elementary schools in the Gambarsari II social studies subject.

Abstract

Hypertension is a global and national health problem known as the silent killer," which continues to increase. Community-based preventive promotion efforts are a strategy for controlling hypertension, especially in the elderly, through Posbindu activities and routine health check-ups. This study aims to determine the relationship between body mass index, physical activity, and blood pressure and the quality of life of hypertensive elderly people in the working area of the UPT Puskesmas Tanjung Redeb. This research is a type of correlational quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between BMI (p-value 0.629), physical activity (p-value 0.000), and blood pressure (p-value 0.013) and quality of life in the elderly. Good quality of life is accompanied by an increase in BMI to near normal, physical activity to near normal, and blood pressure to near normal.

Abstract

Children under five must receive protection to prevent diseases that can disrupt growth and development or even cause death. One of the diseases that attacks children is bronchopneumonia. Bronchopneumonia can also be triggered by several risk factors that increase morbidity and mortality. Pneumonia is divided into two major groups: intrinsic factors and extrinsic factors. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of bronchopneumonia in children aged 1–5 years at RSUD dr. Abdul Rivai Berau. This research is a quantitative study using observational analytic methods with a Cross Sectional Study design. There is a relationship between the results of statistical tests showing that there is a relationship between the economy, immunization, exclusive breastfeeding, air pollution, house ventilation and knowledge with Bronchopneumonia, while occupancy density has no relationship with Bronchopneumonia in Children.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a non-communicable disease which is a global health problem with a control strategy that requires patient independence in self-care. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and self-care behavior in Diabetes Mellitus patients in the Working Area of UPT Puskesmas Tubaan. This research is a type of correlational quantitative research with a cross sectional design. There is a significant relationship between family support and self-care behavior in Diabetes Mellitus patients in the Working Area of UPT Puskesmas Tubaan (p-value = 0.006). So it can be concluded that family support with low Diabetes Mellitus patients is 2 times more likely to result in low self-care behavior. It is necessary to take a family approach so that the patient is able to get family support to achieve better self-care behavior.

Abstract

Efforts to achieve the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) start from infancy by providing Mother's Milk so that humans can live in a healthy and prosperous life. There are still many breastfeeding mothers who have less milk production and lack of innovation based on family medicinal plants to overcome the problem of lack of milk production in breastfeeding mothers using cassava leaves. This study aims to determine the effect of cassava leaves (Premna corymbosa) on the smooth production of breast milk in breastfeeding mothers at the UPT Puskesmas Tanjung Redeb. This type of research is comparative quantitative with a true-experiment research design using a pre-post-test without control group design. The bivariate test showed smooth milk production (sig 0.000; t-count 8.375) and increased milk production (p-value 0.004; t-count 3.161). So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on cassava leaves (Premna corymbosa) on the smoothness and increase in milk production in breastfeeding mothers at the UPT Puskesmas Tanjung Redeb.
