Abstract

Era digitalisasi telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk perpustakaan. Artikel ini mengkaji tantangan dan peluang bagi pustakawan milenial dalam menghadapi perkembangan teknologi digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur, yang melibatkan analisis data dari berbagai sumber terkait seperti jutnal, buku dan laporan penelitian. Tujuan penulisan ini untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi oleh pustakawan milenial dalam menghadapi transformasi digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama meliputi adaptasi terhadap teknologi yang terus berkembang, peningkatan literasi digital, perubahan peran tradisional pustakawan, keterbatasan anggaran, serta isu privasi dan keamanan data. Namun, di balik tantangan tersebut, terdapat peluang besar seperti inovasi dalam layanan digital, kolaborasi dan jaringan profesional yang lebih luas, peningkatan aksesibilitas informasi, penggunaan data untuk pengambilan keputusan yang lebih baik, dan kesempatan untuk pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa dengan strategi yang tepat dan investasi dalam pengembangan keterampilan serta teknologi, pustakawan milenial dapat mengatasi tantangan dan memanfaatkan peluang yang ada untuk meningkatkan kinerja perpustakaan dan memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna di era digital. Rekomendasi praktis diberikan untuk membantu perpustakaan dalam mengelola transformasi digital ini secara efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how information technology changes the practice of weeding collections, identify the challenges faced in the transformation process, and formulate strategic solutions that can be implemented by libraries. The method used in this study uses a literature study, namely a research method carried out by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information or data obtained from various written sources, such as books, scientific articles, research reports, journals, theses, dissertations, official documents, and other literature sources that are relevant to the topic being studied. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the application of information technology has brought significant changes in the weeding process, starting from collecting, evaluating to filtering digital collections. In addition, the transformation in weeding collections can increase efficiency, accuracy, and accountability in weeding decision making.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of librarian and user interaction in the era of artificial intelligence. The method used is qualitative with the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The results of the study show that AI drives the transformation of library services to be more automatic, faster, and more personal. Although this technology increases efficiency, concerns arise regarding data privacy and the professional role of librarians. However, librarians are still needed as knowledge facilitators, information literacy educators, and technology ethics directors. Meanwhile, users show interest in AI-based services, but want security and transparency guarantees. Thus, the success of AI integration in libraries depends on the competence of librarians, digital literacy of users, and ongoing policy support and collaboration.

Abstract

Museums, as institutions preserving historical heritage, face significant challenges in the era of Digital 5.0, where innovation and technology are essential for conveying religious and academic values to the broader society. This study examines the digitalization information at the Muhammadiyah Museum in Yogyakarta, focusing on the innovation of historical information systems as a means of revitalizing ushuluddin values. A qualitative descriptive method is employed, using literature studies and documentation as the primary sources. The findings reveal that digitalization not only facilitates broader access to the Islamic historical narratives promoted by Muhammadiyah but also strengthens the transmission of Islamic values to younger generations in a contextual and interactive manner. Abstract

The research was entitled "Improving Librarian Competence at the Sadewa Health Vocational School Library through Education and Training by the Indonesian Librarians Association (IPI DIY). This study aimed to determine how to improve librarian competency at the Sadewa Health Vocational School Library in Yogyakarta. The data collection method used a qualitative approach with a case study. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis. The results and discussion of the data processing revealed that librarian competency at the Sadewa Health Vocational School Library in Yogyakarta can be improved through education and training in the library field. Based on the analysis, the study concluded that the education and training program for school librarians conducted by the Indonesian Librarians Association (IPI) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta played a significant role in improving librarian competency at the Sadewa Health Vocational School Library in Yogyakarta. This competency improvement contributed to the library's success in achieving an A-level accreditation.
