Abstract

The battery is a back-up for the DC electrical system which is closely related to the protection system in a generator, so to find out the routine maintenance system of the 110 VDC battery system used at the Mount Wugul PLTM. This maintenance will measure the voltage and quality of the battery water in the battery. The aim of the research is to test the 110 VDC battery for daily maintenance, a visual inspection is carried out to ensure the physical condition of the battery is in good condition, to ensure the 110V DC battery remains in a stable condition and is ready to supply DC power to auxiliary equipment when an emergency occurs. From the test results, it was found that the voltage drop in cells number 1 and 7 was recorded at 0.3661 VDC and 1.1948 VDC respectively. It was necessary to take corrective action or replace the battery cells. By measuring the specific gravity of each battery cell, the average value of the specific gravity of the battery was 1,214.59, which is included in the recharge category, meaning that the battery needs to be re-charged. So the results of measuring these two voltages show that the respective voltage balance between positive to ground and negative to ground is in accordance with standards

Abstract

The library holds the meaning as a place where various information is disseminated, whether printed or recorded in various media such as books, magazines, computers, and others. The library is a public place that provides information that can be visited by anyone, both children and adults are allowed to visit the library. Not apart from library visitors consisting of children to adults, it is not uncommon for disorder to occur inside the library, one of which is noise that can disturb the tranquility inside the library. Unexpected or unwanted noise because it does not match the library context can cause discomfort and disturbance to library visitors. Therefore, based on the considerations above, researchers try to propose research entitled "Design of Noise Detection Device with Sound Sensor Mic in the Library Based on Arduino". The system used utilizes the Arduino UNO microcontroller equipped with DF Player and other supporting devices so that in practice this tool can provide warnings when noise reaches a certain level in order to maintain noise below the predetermined threshold. The result of this research is that this system can operate by detecting the noise level with the KY307 mic sensor then using the Arduino microcontroller to analyze and process sound data to produce information about the noise level. This data is then displayed on the LCD screen and connected to an audio tweeter to provide a warning if the noise level exceeds the threshold.

Abstract

A good company or agency has disciplined employees and good employee work scheduling. This is very much in line so that a company needs to create effective and appropriate employee work scheduling. SMK Ma'arif Bantarkawung itself still uses a manual system for employee scheduling. The purpose of writing this thesis is to increase knowledge to readers about genetic algorithms and teacher employee attendance using fingerprints. This algorithm works through several stages, initialization, reproduction, evaluation, selection. At the selection stage, individuals who have better traits will be selected to produce the next generation that is also better. According to several studies, scheduling is the process of scheduling the process of organizing, selecting, and determining the time of use of existing resources to produce the expected output within the expected time. The conclusion that can be drawn is the development of a schedule maker feature system, where school managers must enter the name, teacher code, hours, and subjects taught. Change schedule feature, where data managers only need to change data if they change semesters and subject teachers clash. Change data feature, where data managers only need to change data if subject teachers clash. The results of optimizing the absence of teachers of SMK Ma'arif Bantarkawung employees using genetic algorithms show that the scheduling of teacher absences of SMK Ma'arif Bantarkawung employees aims to create a schedule automatically, displaying the day and time on the teacher's schedule. This genetic algorithm completes the scheduling optimally, so that there is little schedule mismatch.

Abstract

Covid is currently starting to subside, one of which is with the handling, recommendation for vaccines from dose 1 dose 2 and booster vaccines. Handling and recommendation for vaccines is one form of government policy and is one of the government's responsibility efforts to the community. The use of disinfectants can be one solution for the community to start living a healthy and clean life, but many people are reluctant to bring disinfectants to public places. The existence of a prototype of an automatic disinfectant tool can provide a solution for people who are reluctant to bring disinfectants out of the house, even every community house can make an automatic disinfectant tool for indoor use. Based on the results and discussions above, it can be concluded that the design of the prototype of an automatic disinfectant sprayer with a proximity sensor based on the internet of things (IOT) to support healthy living habits after the pandemic has been successfully carried out. While the results of the efficiency of the proximity sensor detection time against objects were 86.3% with a proximity sensor error value of 2.1%. The prototype of an automatic disinfectant sprayer with a proximity sensor based on the internet of things (IOT) has successfully sent the results of the prototype disinfectant usage counter to the telegram. Although there are still many shortcomings in this study in building a prototype of an automatic disinfectant sprayer with a proximity sensor based on the internet of things (IOT), the overall system that was built can run well..

Abstract

The availability of fossil energy is increasingly in crisis due to its continuous use. The best alternative to anticipate this is new renewable energy (EBT). Minihydro Power Plant (PLTM) is a small-scale power plant that uses water power as the main medium to drive turbines and generators, the water comes from rivers by utilizing the height of the waterfall and the amount of water discharge. By knowing the water discharge value, it will later be analyzed with the power value produced by the generator. The type of research used is quantitative analysis research and pre-experimental one shot case study using the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 25 for Windows laptop software. Based on the results of simple linear regression analysis on summary, ANOVA and coefficient models. In the summary model, it is known that the R Square value is 1,000, which means that the influence of the independent variable (water flow) on the dependent variable (power) is 100%. And this is confirmed by the coefficient results which show a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that the water discharge has an effect on the power produced by the generator. The higher the water discharge value, the higher the power produced.

Abstract

The operation of the transformer power distribution is the center of the transmission and distribution system. Given the almost continuous hard work of the transformer, its operation needs to be considered to prevent several disturbances that can reduce the optimal work of the transformer. One of the disturbances that can be found in the substation transformer is the hot-spot temperature at the terminal connection between the conductor cable and the equipment at the substation. This temperature is closely related to the protection and reliability of the system in the switchyard. To overcome the problems that occur in the transformer, especially the 150 kV Kalibakal Purwokerto Substation regarding the hot spots that occur at the transformer conductor bay connection. Routine temperature checks are carried out every day at the transformer connection point using a Thermovisi Flir E60 thermal imager measuring instrument that can determine the temperature value at the conductor connection clamp by looking at the infrared light from the tool. The results of the test evaluation carried out in this thermovisi method use the calculation of the temperature difference (∆T) between the clamp and the conductor, the results obtained are that none of the temperatures exceed >10˚C. The calculation of the emissivity value using Stefan Boltzman's law obtained an average emissivity of 0.506, which means it is included in the temperature range in accordance with the Standard Reference Material (SRM) (aluminum emissivity 0.5). Precision testing with a precision percentage expressed by the Coefficient of Variation (CV) obtained from 45 test points is 0.23%, this result can be categorized as a good result from the CV value standard of <2%. The calculation of the accuracy test found a result of 99.88%, which means that the points tested are still in good condition.

Abstract

PT Bintan Alumina Indonesia (BAI) is a company engaged in many fields, one of which is the Steam Power Plant (PLTU). PLTU itself is a generator that utilizes the kinetic energy of steam to produce electrical energy. There are various fuels used in PLTU, such as gas, oil, coal, biomass, and others. One of the problems that has occurred at PLTU BAI is the temperature drop that occurs in the main boiler component, namely the feed water. Feed Water itself functions as a place for channeling the working fluid which will be converted into steam. This problem causes an increase in coal consumption as a furnace heating material. Monitoring of the decrease in feed water temperature is carried out using a Distributed Control System (DCS). This study explains the methods used and the research design concerning the effect of lowering the feed water temperature on the flue gas temperature. The results of this study are the temperature difference of 20°C to 30°C, the feed water temperature is lower when compared to the normal temperature. The drop in exhaust gas temperature caused by a decrease in the temperature of the feed water so that the exhaust gas temperature also drops. The impact of fluctuations in the feed water temperature on the parameters is that the flue gas temperature drops, the economizer temperature drops, the steam flowrate decreases, and uses a large amount of coal resulting in a large amount of slag left over from combustion.

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of gas leakage which is one of the factors causing fires to occur. Too slow a response of the homeowner to the occurrence of a fire disaster is a factor in fires that can cause loss of life and property that is not small. As an effort to prevent things that are not expected, a system that can detect fires effectively is needed. Designing a fire detection system that supports IoT (Internet Of Things) so that it can be monitored remotely is a suitable preventive alternative. Therefore, the design of a fire detection system using the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller and input Flame sensor that can detect the presence of fire with a minimum detection distance of 10cm with an average voltage output of 5.076V while, the maximum detection distance is 100cm with an average voltage output of 5.066V. MQ-2 sensor to detect gas particles with an average output voltage of 4.99V. Dust sensors can detect paper smoke particles with an average voltage output of 5.066V at a smoke density of 848.90 while cigarette smoke with an average voltage output of 5.038 at a smoke density of 849.87. If one of the sensors detects a potential fire, it will automatically send a message to Telegram accompanied by a buzzer and LED that lights up as a warning sign. Thinger.io software to monitor data changes in the system.

Abstract

Prevention and monitoring of infant growth and development through weighing activities is the easiest thing to do. After weighing, recording is usually done manually, if there is an error or forgetfulness it becomes a problem in the future. For this reason, a digital weight measuring tool is needed that is integrated with a smartphone for automatic recording and is recorded periodically. A more practical weight measuring prototype with a level of accuracy and a database that is recorded without any errors. Of course with various features that can facilitate accessibility, ease of use, complex integration and others. Based on the tools that have been made and the research that has been done, the author can conclude that, a digital baby scale has been made using a loadcell sensor component, HX711 module, ESP32, LCD 16x2 I2C is able to work very well in reading the load. In testing the loadcell sensor which functions to read the weight value by weighing a 500 gram pendulum, it produces an average value of 0.2% with an accuracy level of 99.8%. Comparison of digital scales with research scales was carried out by testing the weight of 5 pendulums with each weighing 50 grams, 100 grams, 200 grams, 500 grams, 1000 grams, resulting in an average error value of 0.165%, which means the accuracy value is 99.835%.

Abstract

The application of IoT is needed to help human tasks, including in the health sector. For example, at the posyandu in previous habits of posyandu officers when measuring height and weight still use conventional equipment. and weight still use conventional equipment, the results also take a lot of time. Through these problems, this research makes a height and weight tool using a Load Cell sensor and an ultrasonic sensor that will be based on the Internet of Things. will be based on the Internet of Things with display of numeric data that appears on the Telkom IoT Platform and on the LCD. Designer tool consists of NodeMcu ESP32 as data processing, ultrasonic sensor (height), Load Cell sensor (weight), and LCD. (height), Load Cell sensor (weight) then the database will be stored in the body) then the database will be stored on the Telkom IoT Platform. For the results of 40 height experiments, the average error and accuracy values are 1.68% and 98.32%. For the average results of 40 weight trials, an error value of 1.85% and an accuracy value of 98.42% were obtained. The results for the calculation of the user assessment scale obtained a result of 35.75 which means the tool is quite good.
