Abstract

Teacher teaching skills are very important in the learning process in the classroom, because it will determine the success of students. The enthusiasm of the teacher in providing learning for students can be seen from the teaching skills of a teacher. This can affect the effective learning process so that students can be motivated to take part in the learning process in class. Therefore, rakes must fully understand their role in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. With teacher teaching skills, teachers are required to be skilled in carrying out their duties as teachers, with skilled teachers will have a positive impact on their students. This study uses quantitative research with the type of Ex-Posfacto research. The data technique used questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The prerequisite analysis test shows that the data is normally distributed and linear so that the hypothesis testing technique uses simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the significant value was 0.000. Because 0.000 < 0.05, Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, so it can be stated that there is an effect of teacher teaching skills on student motivation in thematic learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) peran kepala sekolah dalam menerapkan manajemen mutu pendidikan di SD Negeri 6 Kesu’, (2) faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaan mutu manajemen sekolah di SD Negeri 6 Kesu’. Jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SDN 6 Kesu’. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah sudah menjalankan perannya dengan baik meskipun belum maksimal, namun kepala sekolah selalu berusaha untuk memaksimalkan mutu pendidikan di SDN 6 Kesu’. Sebagai kepala sekolah di SDN 6 Kesu’ ada beberapa peran yang dilaksanakan seperti: (1) peran kepala sekolah sebagai manajer (2) kepala sekolah sebagai edukator (3) kepala sekolah sebagai leader (4) kepala sekolah sebagai pencipta iklim kerja. Adapun mutu SDN 6 Kesu’ antara lain : prestasi akademik dan non akademik mulai dari tingkat kecamatan hingga kabupaten. Selain itu, mutu pendidikan di SDN 6 Kesu’ didukung oleh kurikulum, sarana dan prasarana, hubungan kepala sekolah dengan masyarakat dan manajamen kesiswaan.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor pendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa hal selain kepala sekolah menjalankan perannya dengan baik faktor seperti manajemen kurikulum, manajemen sarana dan prasarana, manajemen hubungan sekolah dengan masyarakat, serta manajemen kesiswaan sangat mempengaruhi meningkatnya mutu pendidikan.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to determine the effect of the use of gadgets on the social interaction skills of 5th graders. This study used a quantitative approach with survey research type. The data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used was the product-moment correlation analysis. The sample of respondents in this study were 20 students consisting of 8 males and 12 females. Based on the research findings, the coefficient of gadget use is 4.273, while can be calculated in the table with ? = 0.05 and df = 18 (obtained from the n-2 formula, where n is the number of respondents, that is 20-2) so that is 2,100. The gadget usage variable has a significant level of 000 < 0.05, which means that it is significant with H1 accepted and H0 rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the use of gadgets and students' social interactions.

Abstract

The objective of this reasearch are 1) To find out what are the positeive perception of the students of UKI Toraja toward Implemetion Of Peer, Self And Teacher Corrections On Students’ English Grammar Mastery. 2). To find out what are the negative perception of the students of UKI Toraja toward Implemetion Of Peer, Self And Teacher Corrections On Students’ English Grammar Mastery. The sample of this rsearch consist of 10 students was taken by using accidental sampling technique. The writer used semi interview to find the data of this rsearch. And the result of this research showed that there were some positive and negative toward implementation Peer, Self And Teacher Corrections On Students’ English Grammar Mastery At English Education Department Teacher Training. The positive perception are 1). improve students 'writing skills ,students have more role in correcting their peers' mistakes, students are better able to understand the explanations from their own friends, to realize students' writing skills. increasing students' knowledge2). The students can realize mistakes they made and they improve theirself automatically. 3) Make teachers understand student work and find errors in each student's assignments. the score of students is more real The teacher can know the extent to which the students can understand the material taught teachers or lecturers can be active , the teacher immediately correct the studuents work. Easier for teachers to find errors. However there were several negative perceptiton of this method are 1). The students some time cannot correct their work one another because they do not understand about the material they studied. 2). The teacher sometime do not correct the students’ paper carefully.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to find out the methods are used by the lecturer in English Language Teaching for the fourth semester students of Management department at UKI Toraja, (2) to find out the students’ perceptions toward the method in English Language Teaching for the fourth semester students of Management department at UKI Toraja. The informants of this study were the fourth semester students of Management Department who had programmed English courses. The writer used snowball sampling to collecting data. There are 16 students as research informants. The writer collected the data by conducting semi-structural interviews. After transcribe the interview result, the writer apply qualitative method by Miles and Huberman technique in order to analyze the data. The data was collected from the fourth semester students of Management Department at UKI Toraja still active in that university. There were 16 students who have been interviewed and they have programmed English courses. The interview was held in Tana Toraja, on Wednesday 15th July 2020 untill on Tuesday 21st July 2020. The resut of this research are the methods used by lecturer in English Language Teaching in the fourth semester students of Management Department at UKI Toraja are reading methods and the silent way while the student’s perceptions toward the method used by lecturer in English Language Teaching in the fourth semester students of Manegement Department at UKI Toraja is Negative perception the methods are less effective in English Language Teaching, students felt bored, students felt scared and nervous in English Language Teaching and sometimes do not understand the material taught by the Lecturer. Based on the results above, the writer concludes that there are two methods are used by English lecturer in English Language Teaching and there are some perception (Negative Perception) from the students as mention above.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out The Teaching Strategies in Learning Speaking Skill in Covid-19 era. In analyzing the data of this research, the researcher employed qualitative method to analyze data using theories from Miles and Huberman. The subjects of this study were the speaking lecturers at English Study Program of FKIP UKI Toraja. The data of this research was collected by interview. The result of the research shows that there are 4 (four) strategies in teaching English speaking in covid-19 era are Self-study Strategy, Use of YouTube application, Use of WhatsApp application, Question and Answer strategy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi dan kendala yang dihadapi dalam manajemen perpustakaan di SD Negeri 129 Lea Kabupaten Tana Toraja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Informan penelitian ini adalah pustakawan, kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan langkah-langkah reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pengujian keabsahan data dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi manajemen perpustakaan SDN 129 Lea sebagai sumber belajar belum berjalan secara optimal. Dari segi perencanaan perpustakaan sudah sangat baik, namun beberapa aspek manajemen perpustakaan masih memiliki banyak kekurangan, dalam aspek implementasi prinsip-prinsip organisasi, petugas perpustakaan masih kurang kompak dan selalu lalai dalam bekerja, yang mengakibatkan pelayanan di perpustakaan kurang lancar. Dalam pengawasan perpustakaan, kepala perpustakaan belum memiliki pedoman tertentu yang dijadikan landasan dalam melakukan pengawasan dan kurang memperhatikan laporan tertulis dan laporan bulanan, pada kepemimpinan perpustakaan, kepala perpustakaan sudah memiliki beberapa sifat kepemimpinan namun kurang maksimal dalam mengarahkan potensi yang dimiliki dan melakukan hubungan kerja dengan pihak-pihak lain. Hambatan dalam implementasi manajemen perpustakaan sebagai sumber belajar adalah terbatasnya dana yang diberikan oleh pemerintah sehingga perpustakaan sekolah sulit untuk berkembang, pengelola perpustakaan yang bukan dari kalangan ilmu perpustakaan mendapat beban kerja yang tidak sesuai dengan keahlian masing-masing staf, dalam kurikulum sekolah, belum ada jam khusus bagi siswa untuk menggunakan perpustakaan, sehingga siswa jarang berlama-lama di perpustakaan.

Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia tetap harus terlaksana meski di tengah wabah pandemi Covid-19, sudah menjadi tanggung jawab bersama untuk menemukan solusi yang tepat dalam proses belajar mengajar. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan jawaban dari pertanyaan mengapa kita membutuhkan teknologi dalam pendidikan. Tulisan ini merupakan studi kepustakaan yang dilaksanakan dengan mengumpulkan data sekunder dan data primer. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi kajian artikel, fenomena pendidikan di masa pandemi Covid-19 di berbagai universitas di Indonesia Tengah dan Indonesia Timur. Adapun temuan yang didapatkan adalah kampus yang memiliki fasilitas sarana dan prasarana serta sumber daya yang lengkap mampu melaksanakan pembelajaran sesuai yang diharapkan pemerintah dengan memanfaatkan media Zoom dan G-Meet. Namun, beberapa kampus yang tidak memiliki sarana dan prasarana yang memadai hanya melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar dengan memanfaatkan media eCampuz, WhatsApp, Classroom dan PDF Reader. Berdasarkan temuan ini, maka beberapa pendidik yang tersebar di berbagai perguruan tinggi swasta yang ada di Indonesia Tengah dan Indonesia Timur patut melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar dengan memanfaatkan teknologi yang tepat guna mewujudkan sila kedua dalam pancasila yaitu mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa tanpa mengurangi kualitas dalam pembelajaran.
