Abstract

This paper aims to describe the application of the Group Investigation (GI) learning model to the material of human respiratory organs in class V. This study aims to understand students about the human respiratory organs, the functions of the human respiratory organs, and how to care for the respiratory organs. This learning is based on lesson study with the following stages: (1) planning (plan), (2) implementation (do), (3) reflection (see). The approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach, to describe the activities of teachers and students that occur during the implementation of learning. This learning was carried out at SDN Mojolangu 3, Malang City with the subject of 42 grade V students and a model teacher. The results of the application of the Group Investigation learning model are able to foster a sense of responsibility, train good cooperation between students in group work, and increase student activeness in learning activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) peran kepala sekolah dalam menerapkan manajemen mutu pendidikan di SD Negeri 6 Kesu’, (2) faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaan mutu manajemen sekolah di SD Negeri 6 Kesu’. Jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SDN 6 Kesu’. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah sudah menjalankan perannya dengan baik meskipun belum maksimal, namun kepala sekolah selalu berusaha untuk memaksimalkan mutu pendidikan di SDN 6 Kesu’. Sebagai kepala sekolah di SDN 6 Kesu’ ada beberapa peran yang dilaksanakan seperti: (1) peran kepala sekolah sebagai manajer (2) kepala sekolah sebagai edukator (3) kepala sekolah sebagai leader (4) kepala sekolah sebagai pencipta iklim kerja. Adapun mutu SDN 6 Kesu’ antara lain : prestasi akademik dan non akademik mulai dari tingkat kecamatan hingga kabupaten. Selain itu, mutu pendidikan di SDN 6 Kesu’ didukung oleh kurikulum, sarana dan prasarana, hubungan kepala sekolah dengan masyarakat dan manajamen kesiswaan.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor pendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa hal selain kepala sekolah menjalankan perannya dengan baik faktor seperti manajemen kurikulum, manajemen sarana dan prasarana, manajemen hubungan sekolah dengan masyarakat, serta manajemen kesiswaan sangat mempengaruhi meningkatnya mutu pendidikan.

Abstract

This study discusses Increasing Student Creativity in the Thematic subject of fifth grade students at SDN 5 Tallunglipu, North Toraja Regency with the Application of Project Based Learning Models. The purpose of this study was to increase the learning creativity of fifth grade students by implementing the Project-Based Learning Model in fifth grade at SDN 5 Tallunglipu, North Toraja Regency. The approach used is Classroom Action Research and consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 3 stages, namely planning, action and observation, reflection. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at SDN 5 Tallunglipu, North Toraja Regency, for the 2022/2023 academic year, consisting of 15 male students and 16 female students. The focus of this research is the teacher's ability to apply or prohibit a Thematic material and students see learning creativity in understanding the material taught in the learning process. The research results obtained are that the application of a project-based learning model can increase student learning creativity in Thematic Theme 5 Ecosystem lessons, both in terms of teacher teaching, student learning activities and student learning creativity. This can be seen from the students' learning creativity, where in the first cycle it shows that maximum learning outcomes have not been achieved or the classical completeness of students' learning creativity only reaches 53.82% and learning incompleteness reaches 46.18%. In cycle II there was an increase because it was in the very creative category, the completeness of learning creativity had reached 86.81%, while the incompleteness reached 13.19%. From the results of the study it was stated that through the Application of Project-Based Learning Models Student Learning Creativity in thematic learning of class V SDN 5 Tallunglipu North Toraja district increased.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Christian Religious Education Teachers in increasing students' religious values ??within the scope of education at SD Negeri 2 Sopai. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were school principals, Christian religious education teachers and Catholic religious education teachers, as well as students of SD Negeri 2 Sopai. Data collection procedures through observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis procedures, including data reduction, data presentation, data leveraging, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that SD Negeri 2 Sopai has a vision related to increasing students' religious values. Christian Religious Education Teachers and Catholic Religious Education Teachers have instilled Christian values ??according to indicators, namely the teacher as an interpreter of the Christian faith, the teacher being a shepherd and the teacher being a guide and leader. There are 3 (three) indicators regarding the role of Christian Religion Teachers related to strengthening students' religious values, namely: Praying, Reading the Word and Worshiping. It can be said that increasing religious values ??has been implemented by practicing based on each grade level, creating a “Bible Love Movement” program, and doing worship together whether it is worship on any predetermined days before learning. However, there is a solution that is applied in the interest of maintaining mutual tolerance between religious communities in students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program in SDN 8 Sesean. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research design, and data analysis is conducted using the descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects are fourth-grade students who participate in the GLS program, while supporting informants are fourth-grade teachers at SDN 8 Sesean. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the GLS program has benefits in increasing students' reading interest and helping teachers determine students' reading abilities. The GLS program consists of three stages: the habituation stage, the development stage, and the learning stage. Supporting factors for the GLS program are related to facilities and infrastructure as well as reading materials. Although reading materials are still lacking, students' enthusiasm for reading is not reduced. The inhibiting factors include a lack of reading materials, a lack of students' interest in reading, teachers who have not fully followed the implementation of the GLS program, and students who do not understand the importance of reading books. The keywords for this study are School Literacy Movement program and students' reading interest.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah Matematika melalui pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) untuk meningkatkan pemecahan masalah siswa di kelas VI SD Kristen Makale. Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa Kelas VI SD Kristen Makale 1 yang berjumlah 32 orang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendektan Realistik Matematics Education dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah Matematika. Pada siklus I tingkat keberhasilan siswa mencapai 53,18%. Pada siklus II tingkat keberhasilan mencapai 84,38%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa kelas III di SDN 8 Rantepao melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus yang melibatkan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 21 siswa kelas III. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Jigsaw efektif meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa, yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan persentase keberanian siswa dalam berpartisipasi, berbicara di depan kelas, serta berinteraksi dengan teman sebaya. Pada siklus I, tingkat keberhasilan siswa mencapai 66,07% (kategori cukup), sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 85% (kategori sangat baik). Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Jigsaw dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa melalui interaksi aktif dan pembelajaran yang kolaboratif.

Abstract

The objectives of this Community Service Program are: (1) To introduce the concept of ethnomathematics to students and classroom teachers at UPT SDN 1 Rantepao as a contextual learning approach rooted in local culture, particularly the traditions of the Toraja ethnic group; (2) To enhance students’ understanding and interest in mathematics through the integration of mathematical elements found in Torajan cultural motifs, artifacts, and symbols, such as symmetry, geometric shapes, patterns, and measurement; and (3) To support teachers in developing innovative and meaningful mathematics instruction by connecting mathematical content to real-life contexts that are relevant to students' daily experiences. The program was implemented in five stages: preliminary observation and survey, preparation, implementation, group discussion and reflection, and the final stage—evaluation. Based on the results of the program, the introduction of ethnomathematics based on Torajan local culture successfully contributed to improving students’ mathematical understanding and reinforcing the relevance of mathematics instruction within the local cultural context. The three-day implementation of the program was met with highly positive responses from all school stakeholders, including strong student enthusiasm, active teacher participation, and noticeable changes in instructional practices. Evaluation outcomes demonstrated a significant improvement in student understanding, as reflected by an increase in the average quiz score from 55 to 83. Moreover, the program contributed to social transformation within the school environment, including the formation of culturally based student learning groups, positive shifts in student learning behaviors, the emergence of local student leadership, and increased awareness among both students and teachers of the importance of integrating local cultural values into the learning process.

Abstract

. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Multi-Function Learning Media (Papan Musi) with the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 3 Bangkelekila’ in the topics of Least Common Multiple (LCM) and Greatest Common Factor (GCF). The study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, involving two classes: the experimental class using Papan Musi media and the control class using conventional learning methods. Data was collected through pretest and posttest, followed by analysis using normality, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results show that the use of Papan Musi media with the NHT model significantly affects the improvement of student learning outcomes. The posttest scores of the experimental class using Papan Musi were higher (average 90.00) compared to the control class (average 74.75), with a t-test significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that Papan Musi media is more effective in enhancing students' understanding of LCM and GCF.
