Abstract

ABSTRAK            Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) dasar  pemberian dan (2) harapan dari nama diri pada masyarakat Tana Toraja. Penelitian ini berjenis kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan semantik. Data berupa nama diri yang diperoleh dari informan atau responden menggunakan teknik wawancara dan catat.  Informan atau reponden terpilih  harus (1) beretnis Toraja, (2) lahir dan atau tinggal di wilayah Tana Tana Toraja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) dasar pemberian nama dalam masyarakata Toraja adalah (a) waktu kelahiran; (b) urutan kelahiran; (c) hari-hari besar keagamaan, (d) meniru/mengidolakan orang-orang terkenal; (e) peristiwa tertentu; (f) bentuk akronim; (g) kesamaan huruf awal nama diri, dan (2) harapan dari nama yang diberikan dalam masyarakat Toraja adalah (a) untuk kebaikan atau sifat baik; (b) untuk kecantikan/ketampanan atau kesehatan fisik; (c) untuk kesejahteraan atau berkah. Kata kunci: Penamaan, Masyarakat , Tana Toraja ABSTRACTThe objective of this study is to explain about naming in Tana Toraja society. This research used descriptive qualitative method by using semantic analysis. Data in this research is proper names that collected from informants or respondents by using interview techniques and note techniques. Respondents must be (1) Torajanesse, (2) born and live in Tana Toraja. The results showed that  (1) the motivations of naming in Tana Toraja society  are (a) the time of birth; (b) the order of birth; (c) the religious holidays, (d) names of famous people or people who idolized; (e) the place of birth; (f) a particular/spesific event; (g) the acronym form; and (h) the similarities between the initial letters of proper name in family; (2) the hopes of the name given in Tana Toraja society are (a) for good or goodness; (b) for beauty or physical health; (c) for welfare or blessing. Keywords:Naming, Society , Tana Toraja

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji makna syair Sengo dalam ritual Rambu Solo’  dengan menggunakan sudut pandang Semiotika. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan makna yang terdapat dalam syair Sengo.   Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif kualitatif. Data bersumber dari tuturan atau syair Sengo yang digunakan pada ritual adat Rambu Solo’  di kabupaten Toraja Utara yang dikumpulkan dengan teknik rekam, teknik catat, dan teknik wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna dalam syair Sengo (1) Ungkapan duka yang mendalam; (2) Harapan  dari yang merasakan dukacita; (3) Perjuangan hidup mendiang menuju alam Puya (surga) Kata Kunci : Makna Syair, Sengo, Ritual Rambu Solo  ABSTRACTThis study examines the meaning of Sengo in Rambu Solo’ which is used Semiotika theory. Abstract

This research aims to describe the form of the use of code interfering in the Indonesian language learning process at SMA Negeri 1 Rantepao, North Toraja.The research is a qualitative descriptive research type. The Data in this research is the code of mixed teachers and students in the learning process of Bahasa Indonesia class XI language SMA Negeri 1 Rantepao. Data is collected with observation, record, and record techniques.The form of code is derived from the Indonesian language learning process in SMA Negeri 1 Rantepao in the form of insertion of elements in the form of (1) words, (2) phrases, and (3) sentences. Mix the code found aimed at knowing, informing, asserting, as well as explaining something.

Abstract

This study aims to describe semasiologi in Toraja. This research is a type of comparative qualitative research. The data in this study were Toraja based on two hundred Gloss Swadesh collected from informants in five research locations, namely Rembon, Makale, Salubarani, Sa'dan, and Baruppu. Data was collected using interview techniques and noted. The results of the study show that semasiologically found in Toraja. Semasiologi refers to the meaning of two forms of the same language but has different concepts or meanings. Semasiology in the Toraja language can be found in the words sia, sola, tambuk, penaa, ula ', baine, muane, and five.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to find out the students’ attitude toward the use of interactive classroom activities in developing the communicative competence. The researchers used descriptive method with a questionnaire to obtain data. The variable of the research was independent variable referring to the use of interactive classroom activities and dependent variable was the students’ attitude. The population of this research was the eleventh grade students of the SMA Kriten Barana’ Academic year 2017/2018, which consists of 50 students since the population of this research, used random sampling. The data obtained from the questionnaire tabulated and analyzed using percentage technique. It is provided by the students’ option on all items of the questionnaire where the number of students who strongly agree and agree is greater than those disagree and strong disagree. in this research the eleventh grade students of SMA Krenten Barana’ have positive attitude towards the use of interactive classroom activities in developing their communicative competence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). (1) Tahap analysis meliputi (a) analisis kurikulum; (b) analisis kebutuhan mahasiswa 2) Tahap design meliputi (a) materi pokok; (b) desain buku ajar. (3) Tahap development dilakukan dengan menyusun dan mengetik keseluruhan materi yang telah didesain berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan. (4) Tahap implementation merupakan tahap uji kelayakan penggunaan buku ajar yang telah disusun. (5) Tahap evalution dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi buku ajar yang dikembangkan untuk implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka yang meliputi hasil validasi buku ajar oleh dosen ahli materi dan ahli media, hasil penilaian buku ajar oleh dosen, hasil angket respon buku ajar oleh mahasiswa, hasil postes mahasiswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mendeskripsikan problematika siswa SMA Negeri 2 Toraja Utara selama pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi covid-19. (2) Mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan oleh siswa SMA Negeri 2 Toraja Utara dalam mengatasi ketidakpahaman pelajaran bahasa Indonesia selama pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi covid-19. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 416 Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Toraja Utara. Sampel diambil 20% dari jumlah populasi. Dengan demikian, maka sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 84 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah teknik sampling, artinya pengambilan sampelnya peneliti mencampur subjek-subjek di dalam populasi sehingga semua objek dianggap sama. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini mengidentifikasi, menganalisis, mendeskripsikan data melalui wawancara dan angket. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa (1) Problematika siswa SMA Negeri 2 Toraja Utara selama pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi covid-19 yaitu : (a) Perubahan proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, (b) Gangguan jaringan yang tidak stabil membuat akses internet menjadi terbatas, (c) Siswa kurang memahami pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru karena hanya memberikan materi dan tugas tanpa adanya penjelasan, (d) Waktu belajar yang sangat singkat. (2) Upaya mengatasi ketidakpahaman pelajaran bahasa indonesia selama pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi covid-19 yaitu dengan menyakannya kepada guru, dan teman. Jika siswa belum memahami penjelasan yang diberikan, langkah selanjutnya siswa memanfaatkan IT (Ilmu Teknologi dan Informasi). Sumber media tergolong atas dua kategori yaitu media cetak berupa buku dan media online (internet) berupa google dan youtube.

Abstract

Lecturers and students as academics are required to be polite not only in behaving, but also in language. But in reality, often we find lecturers and students who do not show such courtesy, especially in the language or often called violations of language courtesy. This research aims to reveal violations of language courtesy committed by the academic community of Toraja Christian University of Indonesia (UKI Toraja), specifically in the learning process. Through this research, it is expected that various forms of violations of language courtesy can be expressed. Research on the violation of language courtesy is a type of qualitative descriptive research. This research was conducted at UKI Toraja specifically in the Indonesian Language education and Satra study program. The data in this study is the use of language used by lecturers and students of UKI Toraja in the learning process, both orally and in writing. Data is collected with documentation, record, and record techniques. The data was further analyzed using sociopragmatic approaches, which are approaches used to express the meaning of language externally. The results showed violations of language courtesy in the learning process at UKI Toraja were expressed through violations of wisdom maxims, violations of generosity, violations of reward maxims, violations of match maxims, and violations of simplicity maxims.

Abstract

This research is to describe how social status is expressed through metaphors in Rambu Solo’ funeral ceremony. This research is a qualitative descriptive type. Data sourced from the Kada-Kada Tominaa used at the Rambu Solo’ funeral ceremony record techniques, and interview techniques. The results showed that social status in Rambu Solo’ funeral ceremony 'was metaphorious through (1) born of the moon; (2) Born from the Sun; (3) Londong (Rooster); (4) Gayang (Kris); (5) Rar ' (Traditional Necklace)
