Abstract

This study is designed to investigate the planning of a Muslimah learning activity center as a self-development platform within the Peneroka Community in Palembang City. The initiative emerged in response to the growing need for holistic and value-driven non-formal education spaces tailored to Muslim women. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The analysis framework is grounded in George R. Terry’s planning theory encompassing goal formulation, situational analysis, resource identification, strategy formulation, evaluation and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as well, which provides insight into the layered structure of human motivation from basic needs to self-actualization. Findings reveal that planning in the community is conducted collaboratively and contextually, utilizing hybrid learning strategies and adult education principles that align with the lived realities of participants. The designed programs address dimensions of spiritual growth, emotional well-being, financial literacy, social connectedness, and personal fulfillment.Key supporting factors include leadership commitment, member participation, and digital technology utilization. Conversely, challenges arise from legal limitations, financial constraints, and infrastructural gaps. This research concludes that well-structured, value-oriented planning aligned with both management theory and psychological motivation can transform community-based initiatives into adaptive, inclusive, and impactful models of Islamic non-formal education, fostering holistic self-development for Muslim women.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the salary planning system at MTs Pondok Pesantren Al Hasanah Ujungbatu. Teacher welfare is critical in Islamic schools because salary certainty affects motivation, retention, and quality. In pesantren-based madrasahs, payroll capacity depends on limited income, making planning a governance concern. This research employed a qualitative field design. Data were collected through observation, interviews with foundation leaders, madrasah managers, and teachers, and documentation. The first finding shows that teacher payroll is managed internally by the foundation and madrasah. Its implementation depends on student fees, donations, and funds. The second finding reveals that salary planning is conducted annually through the madrasah budget mechanism. However, salary amounts are not guided by formal standards. The third finding indicates limited transparency and teacher participation in payroll planning. Teachers understand attendance and teaching hours as salary indicators, but not the full calculation process. This condition weakens perceived fairness and welfare. This study contributes to Islamic education management by integrating payroll planning, financial capacity, and teacher welfare. It also offers a basis for fairer, more transparent, and sustainable salary governance in madrasahs.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine how pesantren and national curricula are integrated across two Islamic boarding schools. Curriculum integration is challenging because institutions must reconcile national standards with religious traditions, character formation, and competencies. Different pesantren contexts may produce distinct configurations despite educational ideals. A multisite qualitative case study was conducted at Amanatul Ummah Pacet and Al-Amanah Junwangi. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed through condensation, display, and verification. The first finding shows that both institutions share an ulul albab-oriented vision integrating IMTAQ and IPTEK. However, Amanatul Ummah emphasizes classical scholarship and tahfidz, while Al-Amanah prioritizes bilingualism, life skills, and competency-based programs. The second finding reveals that integration operates through twenty-four-hour activities. Amanatul Ummah applies intensive time zoning, whereas Al-Amanah uses modular, technology-supported learning arrangements. Both sites face student fatigue and respond through interactive pedagogy. The third finding demonstrates multidimensional authentic evaluation combining academic, religious, character, and practical evidence. This study contributes a contextualized multisite model linking institutional vision, learning ecology, and authentic evaluation. It also offers guidance for designing coherent, identity-sensitive, student-responsive integrated curricula.

Abstract

Islamic moral education plays a strategic role in shaping the religious character of elementary school students amid the rapid development of the digital age. The main challenges in elementary education today lie not only in cognitive aspects but also in the erosion of moral values, digital ethics, and the lack of religious guidance for children in their use of technology. This study aims to analyze the revitalization of Islamic moral education in strengthening the religious character of elementary school students in the digital age, with a focus on school policies, religious practices, and collaboration between schools and parents. The study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive field study design. The research location is SDN 3 Kalapasawit in Lakbok Subdistrict, Ciamis Regency, which was selected for its consistent efforts to foster a religious culture and address the digital challenges faced by students. The research subjects included school principals, teachers, school committees, and parents. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis utilized an interactive model that included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that the revitalization of Islamic moral education is implemented through systematic school policies, consistent religious practices, and active collaboration between schools and families. Religious practices have been shown to foster students’ discipline, responsibility, politeness, and awareness of religious duties, as well as contribute to the regulation of digital behavior. Synergy between schools and parents reinforces the continuity of religious values between the school and home environments. This study confirms that Islamic moral education, when managed in an integrated and collaborative manner, serves as a crucial foundation for shaping the religious character of students who are adaptable and responsible in the digital age.
