Abstract

The implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum (KBC) requires mathematics teachers to be prepared to adjust the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. This study aims to describe the readiness of mathematics teachers in implementing the KBC. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type through a survey method. The research subjects were mathematics teachers of MTs in DKI Jakarta Province who were selected purposively. Data collection was carried out through closed questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was carried out by triangulation of sources. The level of readiness was divided into three categories, namely ready (76–100), quite ready (51-75), lack ready(26–50), and not ready (≤25). The results showed that 62.5% of teachers did not understand the concept and objectives of the Love-Based Curriculum, 50% of teachers still had difficulties in preparing teaching modules or lesson plans, 43.75% of teachers had not implemented value- and character-based learning, and 37.5% of teachers had not implemented value- and character-based diagnostic and formative assessments. Therefore, mathematics teachers' readiness to implement the Love-Based Curriculum still requires continuous improvement. Interviews revealed obstacles such as limited training, uneven conceptual understanding, and adaptation to changing learning paradigms. Therefore, ongoing efforts through training, mentoring, and strengthening the professional competencies of mathematics teachers are needed to ensure optimal implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) usage on the critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of university students in Indonesia. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of AI literacy as a moderating variable, which has not been studied simultaneously in the context of Indonesian higher education. The study employed a one-shot case study pre-experimental method with 50 students as samples, divided into three groups based on Gen AI usage intensity: low (n=16), moderate (n=17), and high (n=17). Data were analyzed using one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Results revealed significant differences in critical thinking skills (F(2,47) = 18.43, p < .001) and learning outcomes (F(2,47) = 22.17, p < .001) among the three groups. The high-intensity Gen AI group obtained the highest mean critical thinking score (M = 84.71, SD = 5.34) and the best learning outcomes (M = 87.12, SD = 4.91). This study recommends structured integration of Gen AI into higher education curricula accompanied by enhanced AI literacy for students.

Abstract

This research aims to explore in depth the management of character education for students with special needs (SEN) at SD Muhammadiyah Jogodayoh. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, and documentation studies. The results indicate that character education management is implemented through four systematic stages. First, planning begins with multidimensional early identification and the integration of 18 character values into adaptive instructional designs. Second, organizing is carried out through classroom differentiation (regular, intensive, and transitional classes) and the implementation of co-teaching strategies to ensure equitable attention. Third, implementation focuses on the adaptation of the Merdeka Curriculum, prioritizing teacher role-modeling, religious habituation, and positive reinforcement. Fourth, routine weekly evaluations serve as quality control instruments for both student progress and teacher professional competence. The success of this model lies in the synergy between school and parents, as well as a shift in educational orientation from academic achievement to socio-moral maturity. The study concludes that structured management effectively creates a harmonious inclusive culture. It is recommended that the school strengthen collaboration with external experts and utilize assistive technology for more optimal character monitoring.
