Abstract

Visualization is becoming as the most frequent tool for examining and extracting information from datasets by novice and professional researchers alike. Many data processing applications help to present and report data. One of the digital tools that is quite widely used is Google Data Studio. This Community Service activity aims to provide data visualization training to Triharjo Village, one of the villages that still does not use digitalization to access village data online. Natural Resources Data Visualization Training Using Google Data Studio in Triharjo Village, Merbau Mataram District, South Lampung Regency has been successfully implemented and attended by 10 (ten) participants consisting of village officials. This activity is very necessary to facilitate the monitoring of agricultural products from Triharjo Village on the dashboard via the village website. The target in community service has also been achieved and serves to provide problem solving for problems that occur with partners, namely in the form of: 1. Can introduce the Tiharjo village community to the importance of digitizing performance dashboards. 2. Can teach how to use Google Data Studio tools which can be used to help the process of creating Dashboards. With this training, it is hoped that it can help manage natural resource data which will help village officials and village communities, teachers and students in providing information services related to data visualization.

Abstract

Halal product certification plays a crucial role in ensuring product safety, enhancing consumer trust, and expanding market opportunities, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, many MSME owners lack awareness of its importance and face challenges in the certification process due to limited knowledge and resources. This community service program, conducted in Bujung Buring Village, Tanjung Raya District, Mesuji Regency, Lampung Province, aims to address these issues by increasing MSMEs' understanding of halal certification and assisting them in obtaining certification. The study employs the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, integrating research with social change by involving MSMEs throughout the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The program includes potential and problem mapping, certification awareness campaigns, and direct assistance in the halal certification registration process. The results indicate a significant improvement in MSME owners’ understanding of halal certification. Additionally, MSMEs reported increased confidence in marketing their products to a broader consumer base. This initiative demonstrates the effectiveness of community-based interventions in promoting halal certification and can serve as a model for similar programs in other regions. Further research and policy support are recommended to sustain and expand halal certification initiatives for MSMEs, ensuring wider adoption and compliance with halal product regulations.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in human resource development and serves as a foundation for national progress. However, the community in Trimulyo Village, South Lampung, still lacks awareness regarding the importance of education and the need for dedicated attention in children's learning. This program aims to enhance students' literacy and numeracy skills through a structured tutoring initiative. The study employs a community-based empowerment approach targeting five elementary school students aged 6-7 years in Trimulyo Village, Tanjung Bintang District. The program follows a three-stage method: Social Reflection, Observation, and Activity Implementation. The tutoring sessions were conducted three times a week. The primary objective was to provide additional learning support outside school hours, ensuring students become more familiar with the alphabet, numbers, and basic writing skills in a stress-free environment. The results indicate that students demonstrated significant improvements in reading comprehension, letter recognition, writing proficiency, vocabulary development, creativity enhancement through coloring activities, and overall focus during learning. Furthermore, this initiative contributed positively to the community by addressing educational challenges and supporting early childhood learning development in Trimulyo Village.

Abstract

India is undergoing a significant demographic transition, with declining birth rates and increasing life expectancy contributing to a rapidly growing elderly population. By 2050, the number of older adults is projected to quadruple, placing immense pressure on the country’s healthcare infrastructure. A recent World Health Organization report highlights that the rising elderly population in India and China will further strain national health systems. Despite this, geriatrics remains an underdeveloped field in Indian medical education, resulting in a lack of specialized healthcare services for older adults. This study provides an overview of India’s geriatric healthcare system, focusing on existing policies, infrastructure, and healthcare models. Through a comprehensive review of healthcare programs, government initiatives, and geriatric service frameworks, this study identifies key challenges such as inadequate specialized training, limited healthcare accessibility, and disparities in service quality, particularly in rural areas. Additionally, this study examines the unique healthcare needs of older adults, including frailty, atypical disease presentations, and increased risks of complications. The findings highlight the urgent need for a more integrated and multidisciplinary approach to geriatric care. Strengthening primary healthcare services, increasing geriatric training for healthcare professionals, and promoting community-based care models are crucial steps in addressing these challenges. Raising awareness of the medical and socioeconomic difficulties faced by India’s elderly population is essential to improving their quality of life. By enhancing existing healthcare policies and infrastructure, India can better prepare to meet the needs of its ageing population and ensure sustainable elderly care services in the future.

Abstract

The formation of character and ethics is crucial from childhood, as children easily absorb behaviors and values from their surroundings. Ethics is an integral part of human attitudes and interactions, which do not develop naturally but are shaped through guidance, education, and social influence from parents, teachers, and the community. Instilling ethical awareness at an early age is essential to fostering responsible and respectful individuals. This study aims to cultivate ethical awareness among children in Sidomulyo Village through a counseling-based approach conducted at SDN 07 Mesuji as part of a KKN (Real Work Lecture) program. The counseling method involves interactive discussions and role-playing activities designed to reinforce moral values and social etiquette. The findings indicate that this counseling approach leads to a noticeable improvement in the ethical behavior of the children in Sidomulyo Village. The program's effectiveness is evident in the children's increased understanding and application of moral values in daily interactions. These results suggest that structured ethical counseling can be a valuable tool in character education when supported by teachers, parents, and the school community.
