Abstract

The landslide prone area on the railway between the Cicayur and Parung Panjang stations, Banten, which lie on between the Tanah Abang and Parung Panjang stations, has been investigated. The railway track between Tanah Abang and Parung Panjang stations is the busy track since this track is passed by the commuter lines which have the route from the Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) Serpong to the Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi). The investigation has been carried out by using direct current resistivity (DC resistivity) method (dipole-dipole and wenner arrays). The dipole-dipole and wenner arrays have 240 m and 20 m electrodes spacing, respectively. The resistivity data have been analyzed by using RES2DInv and IP2WIN programs. The result shows that the study area has low resistivity values (47.13 Ωm) at near surface and is possibly associated with the volcanic and sedimentary material in the study area. The area which consists of the volcanic and sedimentary material will be landslide prone area if the ability of the rock layer to resist the rainfall infiltration has exceeded its threshold. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki tentang profil muatan listrik selama gerhana matahari total 9 Maret 2016 . Pengambilan data dilakukan di pantai terentang pulau bangka. Data variasi muatan diukur dengan menggunakan alat ukur yang dimiliki Pudak Scientific yaitu Charge sensor (0361i) (CMA) (-97..97 nC) order Code : CRG-BTA yang dihubungkan dengan ineterface Euro Lab (ϵ lab). Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan terdapat penambahan jumlah muatan negatif seiring bertambahnya waktu dari jam 06.00-09.00 WIB. Selama terjadi gerhana matahari total mulai kontak 1 sampai kontak 4 (berdasarkan hasil pengukuran alat ukur) ditemukan bahwa ada pengurangan laju pertambahan muatan negatif. Di duga kuat faktor suhu dan intensitas cahaya matahari mempengaruhi jumlah mutan elektron yang terukur. KataKunci: Muatan Listrik, Gerhana matahari total.

Abstract

Landslide is one of often phenomenon which consist in Indonesia and specially for region West Bandung District and Subang. Landslide has divided into two main part that are landslide slip and landslide soil erosion. One of some methods for characteization of soil properties are geotechnical method. Five slopes which potentially slope in Cirangkong Village, Cijambe Subdistrict (cjb1, cjb2, cjb3), Subang District (sbg), and Lembang (lbg), West Java have characterized by used geotehnical method for identifies soil magnitude of slip area and soil erosion substance. The result of physicsal properties characterization e.g cohesion, displacement angle, unit weight and geometry of potential valanche slope have resulted from analysis slope stability used for predicting soil range (run-out) and soil velocity according to use simple Coulomb method. Run-out predicting result and soil center of mass velocity from five slopes there are cjb1, cjb2, cjb3, lbg and sbg respectively are 1,22 m and 6,78 m/s, 0,97 m and 5,76 m/s, 0,48 m and 3,45 m/s, 1,07 m/s and 4,83 m/s, 1,57 m and 5,93 m/s. If landslide happen, soil erosion will be cover the way. From that characterization, derivated the efforts mitigation which observe from increasing slope safety factor (FK>1,25) Keyword: slope stability caracterization, run-out, mitigation.

Abstract

The application of remote sensing technology has currently evolved and covering a wide scope of study, for instance in geothermal exploration. Remote sensing can help identify the geological structures on the surface through observation of lineament features. The geological structures in geothermal exploration are related to permeable zones and can be correlated with the upflow or outflow zone as indicated by the presence of surface manifestations. Landsat-8 imagery is used in delineating the lineament as in advanced, the process was begun by doing image quality enhancement Gram-Schimdt Pan-Sharpening and PCA (Principal Component Analysis). Extraction of lineaments process was carried out with LINE module of PCI-Geomatica based on automatic detection algorithms. To reduce lineament features that are not related to the geological structure, such as man-made features, visual observation is conducted by using several band combinations. The results showed that the main direction of the lineaments within the study area is Northwest-Southeast, consistent to the pattern of major geological structures in Regional Geological Map and related to the existence of manifestations. However, from the observation of Lineament Density Map, there were no direct correlations between areas that have a high density of lineaments with the presence of surface manifestations. Lineament density tends to be dominantly influenced by the geological formation. Keywords: Remote sensing, Landsat-8, Lineament, Geothermal, Surface Manifestations.

Abstract

Exploration of gold mining in Pangalengan, Bandung is one of traditional and illegal method used by villager there. The exploration gives a lot of environmental damage such as landscape and structure changing, also pollution of nature because there is no control of sewerage system or tailing gold system for the likes of Mercury (Hg) and Lead / Plumbum (Pb). The objective of this research is to know the trend pattern of mining waste distribution in Pangalengan, Bandung using Electricity Method with measurement parameter of conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), and acidity level (pH). There were two methods to take the measurement, first, took the soil sample by using coring with 0.3 meters deep with 2 inch diameter at the riverbank and channel from the sewerage places which has heavy metal elements. And second is laboratory test. The increase in heavy metal trend pattern usually has an increase in mining areas, and decrease departs from mining area. Heavy metal hoarding usually take an increase in the area of upper course of the river, it happens allegedly because of he of water flow rate. Abstract

In exploration geophysics, modeling is a way to interpreting the distribution of the earth response of a subsurface geological conditions specific. Resistivity geoelectric forward modeling for 2D case has been done by applying the finite difference method using Matlab software to solve a differential equations system, in this case it is Poisson equation. The solution of differential equations is done by discretization it using central finite difference approximated by taylor series expansion resulting a linear equations , where A is a sparse matrix, x is the electric potential at each grid, and B is the electric current matrix vector. Layer model used in this study is a 20x20 grid homogeneous layer. Calculation results show that the model response (resistivity value) on the surface is dependent on the boundary conditions and sensitive to electrode spacing changes (in this case using the Configuration Wenner). This program is able to provide results approaching the initial model values when surface measurements do not approach both the edge of the grid model side and electrode spacing in the range of 1 to 3 pixels (grid). Abstract

During this time, Borneo island is claimed to be the only island area in Indonesia that relatively safe from earthquake hazard. However, on December 21, 2015 at 01:47:37 am, a big earthquake (Mw 6.1) with a depth of 16 km happened in the Tarakan region. The earthquake shaking was felt by people on 5 MMI intensity scale. In this study, the identification of patterns of micro fracture that triggering Tarakan earthquakes is using the data of earth's gravitational field, distribution of the earthquake epicenter and focal mechanism of the earthquake. The earth's gravitational field data is get from the Topex satellite that filtered to obtain residual anomaly with SVD method (Second Vertical Derivative) using Elkins matrix operator. The results of the analysis of Tarakan earthquake parameters in the form of Global CMT focal mechanism and the aftershocks distribution from BMKG database also taken into account in the determination of fracture patterns. From the combination of three types of data we conclude that micro fracture that triggering Tarakan earthquakes on December 21, 2015 is located in the eastern island of Tarakan with moves towards the north-south fault and the type of fracture oblique (the dominance of horizontal fault) as the continuity of Palukoro fault Keywords: micro fracture, earth’s gravitational field, epicenter distribution, focal mechanism..

Abstract

The existence of hyperon in neutron stars has been studied by relativistic mean field model. By assuming the hyperon in a neutron star will affect the equation of state and properties of neutron star. In this study, we will discuss how meson coupling constant variation affecting the equation of state of neutron stars by using relativistic mean field model and GM1 parameter which later will be compared with BSP parameter. It can be seen that by varying the coupling constants affecting the equation of state of neutron stars. Keywords : Neutron star, Hyperon, meson, Equation of state.

Abstract

DATA ACQUISITION ABSOLUTE ENCODER A TRIPLE AXIS NEUTRON SPECTROMETER USES NI USB-6351 AND LABVIEW PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE. This encoder is used to monitor the position and rotation of the analyzer crystal scattering arm of TAS. Digital signals from the absolute encoder had been used into the computer via NI USB-6351.
