Abstract

The existence of hyperon in neutron stars has been studied by relativistic mean field model. By assuming the hyperon in a neutron star will affect the equation of state and properties of neutron star. In this study, we will discuss how meson coupling constant variation affecting the equation of state of neutron stars by using relativistic mean field model and GM1 parameter which later will be compared with BSP parameter. It can be seen that by varying the coupling constants affecting the equation of state of neutron stars. Keywords : Neutron star, Hyperon, meson, Equation of state.

Abstract

Teknologi informasi merupakan salah satu faktor penting untuk meningkatkan efektifitas dan kualitas pendidikan. Penerapan teknologi dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dengan menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan interaktif. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat dimanfaatkan adalah WCMS (Website Content Management System). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran fisika dasar 1 berbasis pendekatan saintifik menggunakan WCMS, mengetahui kelayakan dan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap produk yang dikembangkan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data dianalisis dengan skoring sesuai bobot dan hasilnya akan diklasifikasikan berdasarkan skala likert. Hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 94,09% dengan kategori sangat baik dan validasi media sebesar 94,12% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil persepsi mahasiswa terhadap produk sebesar 85,98% dengan kategori sangat baik, sehingga berdasarkan hasil validasi dan persepsi mahasiswa media pembelajaran fisika dasar 1 berbasis pendekatan saintifik menggunakan WCMS layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

The lack of students’ motivation is one of the issues in implementing hybrid learning after the pandemic. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Kahoot! to increase the motivation of students studying on Hybrid learning after the pandemic. The type of research is a pre-experimental study in the form of one-group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi from February to March 2022. The subjects of this study were grade 10th students who were determined by cluster random sampling technique. Research data were collected through questionnaires that were distributed to students. Based on the results of the paired t-test which gets the result of the sig value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. Based on the N gain test, the result obtained is 0.36 which is in the medium category. It can be conclude that there is a significant increase in students’ learning motivation after using Kahoot! in the hybrid learning

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan keterampilan guru mengenai penggunaan aplikasi Elektronics Workbench, Phet simulations dan Algodoo sebagai media alternatif pelaksanaan praktikum secara online, offline maupun blended. Kegiatan ini akan dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar (SD) dan Madrasah Tsanawiah (MTs) yang berada di bawah Yayasan Pinang Merah Jambi yang beralamat di Kecamatan Alam  Barajo, Kota Jambi. Kegiatan yang dilakukan terdiri dari tiga kegiatan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini, peserta memberikan respon positif bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi guru-guru dalam melaksanakan praktikum baik secara online, offline maupun blended. Melalui kegiatan ini, guru-guru dapat mengenal dan menggunakan beberapa aplikasi yang dapat digunakan dalam pelaksaan praktikum seperti Elektronics Workbench, Phet simulations dan Algodoo. Kata kunci: elektronics workbench; phet simulations; algodoo ABSTRACTThe purpose of this service activity is to improve the competence and skills of teachers regarding the use of Electronic Workbench applications, Phet simulations and Algodoo as alternative media for online, offline or blended practicum implementation. This activity will be carried out in elementary schools (SD) and Madrasah Tsanawiah (MTs) under the Pinang Merah Jambi Foundation, which is located in Alam Barajo District, Jambi City. The activities carried out consist of three activities, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation of activities. After participating in this activity, participants gave a positive response that this training activity was very useful for teachers in carrying out practicums both online, offline and blended. Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop an android based physics educational game on temperature and heat material using the construct 2 program, where the game was designed to stimulate thinking ability including improving understanding of physics concepts. This educational game was developed using the research and development (R&D) method with the stages of the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation, but in this study it only reached the design or development stage. In addition, to ensure that the game is designed as expected, the authors conducted feasibility testing and game acceptance by media experts and students. Based on the results of the analysis, the assessment obtained from 5 experts with several aspects of assessment of this educational game is included in the very feasible category with an average score of 3.70 from a maximum score of 4.00 and a minimum score 3.0. From the results obtained, the physics educational game developed has good quality so it is feasible to be implemented.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran yang diperlukan pada materi pengukuran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dengan subjek penelitian peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi yang telah mempelajari materi pengukuran. Sampel yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini sebanyak 30 peserta didik. Data penelitian diperoleh dari pengisian lembar observasi awal dan angket analisis kebutuhan terhadap media pembelajaran yang diinginkan. Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran pada materi pengukuran masih belum dapat menjelaskan konten pembelajaran secara rinci, baik dari segi materi maupun visualisasi, dan media yang digunakan masih belum mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan minat belajar peserta didik. Hasil analisis angket kebutuhan peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, menjelaskan konten pembelajaran secara rinci dan dilengkapi dengan konten yang menarik.

Abstract

The problem that is often encountered in learning at school, especially physics subjects, is the large number of students who say physics subjects are difficult to understand and are less interested in physics subjects, This is due to the not optimal learning media used by teachers, causing students not to understand the concepts and not interested in physics lessons. This lack of interest can be overcome with videos, so learning videos are needed that can increase students' understanding of concepts and learning interests. This study aimed to develop physics learning videos based on the STEM approach to measurement material. This research method uses a research and development design with a 4D development model. The subjects in this study were 30 students in class XI MIPA 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi who had studied measurement material. This study used data collection in the form of initial needs questionnaires, interviews, media expert validation questionnaires and material experts as well as student response questionnaires. From the results of this study the media validation stage I obtained a score of 80.91% and stage II obtained a score of 97.36%. In material validation I obtained a score of 81.94% and stage II obtained a score of 96.52% and student responses to all indicators obtained a score of 83.86%. This study concludes that physics learning videos based on the STEM approach in measurement materials meet the eligibility criteria, which are very valid and very effective for learning physics measurement materials.

Abstract

This research is based on the low physics learning outcomes of senior high school students. This study aims to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes using Orang Kayo Hitam Comic in physics learning. The comic used for this study is based on a folktale from Jambi Province entitled Orang Kayo Hitam. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Kota Jambi, grade 10, in 2022. This kind of study is Classroom Action Research (CAR), and it is divided into three cycles. The planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages are the four phases that make up each cycle. Based on the study results, 44% of the first cycle's students achieved the minimum qualifying score (KKM). In the second cycle, it was 56%, and in the third, it became 78%. The N-gain value of 0.4 indicates that the increase in student motivation is moderate. According to the study's findings, using Orang Kayo Hitam comic can enhance students' motivation and their learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pengamatan pembelajaran dilakukan guna mengevaluasi proses pembelajaran yang telah terlaksana. Apakah sudah berjalan dengan baik atau perlu adanya perbaikan. Pengamatan pembelajaran bisa dilakukan tanpa melakukan proses pembelajaran secara langsung melainkan melalui pengamatan video. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemandirian belajar siswa dengan menganalisis isi video rekaman pembelajaran menggunakan TBLA dalam pembelajaran fisika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus: observasi video dengan pendekatan penelitian metode campuran. Jenis observasi yang digunakan adalah observasi non partisipan. Dengan jumlah observer enam orang termasuk peneliti. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang ditunjukkan melalui dialog interaksi pada grafik satuan kata, pertemuan pertama diperoleh angka tingkat kemandirian dengan persentase masing-masing indikator sebesar 7%, 16,9%,5,9%,13,5% dan 16%. Pertemuan kedua dengan persentase 11%,23%,20%,20% dan 25%. Terlihat dari perolehan persentase pada dua kali pertemuan pembelajaran, dapat disimpulkan tingkat kemandirian siswa dalam belajar di kelas XI MA Nurul Islam Bades Pasirian Lumajang pada materi fluida dinamis masih tergolong rendah. Maka saran yang terkandung dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dapat merefleksikan pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan dengan menganalisis hasil proses pembelajaran menggunakan teknik TBLA dan merancang pembelajaran yang lebih baik untuk memperbaiki kekurangan pada pembelajaran sebelumnya sehingga akan mewujudkan kemandirian belajar siswa lebih baik lagi.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the feasibility of developing STEM-integrated Project-Based Learning (PjBL) tools incorporating the local wisdom of Gendang Melayu for the topic of sound waves. The development followed the 4D model and was limited to the development stage. In the define phase, several analyses were conducted, including initial-final, learner, task, concept, and learning objectives. The design phase structured the lesson plan (RPP) and student worksheet (LKPD) formats based on PjBL syntax and STEM components. During the development stage, the RPP and LKPD were validated by two expert lecturers and one physics teacher. The RPP scored 94.11% and 91.76%, while the LKPD scored 94% and 95%, all categorized as "very good." A student response questionnaire was also distributed to 23 learners, resulting in an overall average score of 86.6%. These results indicate that the developed tools are valid and practical for use in physics learning. The integration of local cultural elements through the Gendang Melayu project enhances contextual understanding, making physics learning more meaningful and engaging. Thus, the developed learning tools are considered feasible for implementation in sound wave instruction.
