Abstract

The ideal free vibration system is characterized by periodic oscillation motion with fixed amplitude. In fact, towards this kind of vibration system, there is an external force that will dampen the vibration so the amplitude will be decreased continuously. In damped vibrations, in addition to amplitude change, the frequency will also be different from the frequency of free vibration. It has been observed the phenomenon of rotational homogeneous rods attached to torsional spring and occurs damping due to air friction both theoretically and empirically. Basically rotational vibration characteristics are similar to translational vibrations. The observed variables are the deviation angle of the amplitude and the vibration period. Measurements are done by video camera and digital counter. The empirical observations reinforce the solution of the differential equations obtained by theoretical analysis of the damped vibration system. The result of the research on the mechanical rod and spring vibration system was developed to observe the phenomenon of economic fluctuation occurring in Indonesia, using the analogy between physics phenomenon and economic phenomenon (econophysics). Abstract

Alat pendeteksi api merupakan suatu alat yang dapat mendeteksi adanya perubahan atau kenaikan temperature yang tidak normal dalam ruangan. Untuk mengatasi masalah kenaikan temperature yang signifikan, telah berhasil membuat model pendeteksi api berbasis arduino uno dan MQ-2 dengan keluaran berupa SMS gateway. Alat ini dilengkapi dengan 2 sensor yaitu sensor api infrared dan sensor asap MQ-2. Dalam percobaan dilakukan penelitian kepekaan pada sensor api infrared dengan bantuan alat Lux meter untuk mengukur intensitas cahaya pada sumber api. Percobaan ini menggunakan jarak untuk mengukur dan mengetahui kepekaan sensor api infrared dan Lux meter. Serta menggunakan 2 ilin sebagai sumber api dan jarak 10 cm sampai 110 cm dengan selisih 10 cm. Percobaan pertama dengan Lux meter, besar intensitas cahaya yang di dapat pada jarak 10 cm adalah 132 lux. Jika jarak semakin jauh maka besar intensitas cahaya semakin turun, contoh jarak 110 cm dan 100 cm intensitas cahaya hanya 0 lux. Percobaan kedua dengan sensor api di dapatkan pada jarak 10 cm dengan sudut 00 sampai jarak 90 cm sensor masih dapat mendeteksi api, tapi pada jarak 100 cm dan 110 cm sensor tidak bisa mendeteksi adanya api. Lalu pada sudut 300 sampai 600 sensor hanya dapat mendeteksi pada jarak 10 cm.  Kata kunci: sensor api infrared, sensor asap MQ-2, arduino uno, lux meter, sms gateway

Abstract

The prototype explorer is a device that can work measuring the magnetic field of the magnetic material that spread at desired location. The main component of the prototype is the Hall Effect UGN3503 magnetic sensor. Characterization of magnetic sensor has been performed by using coil calibration and Gaussmeter type IDR-325. From the characterization known the result that the value of sensitivity the sensor equal to 595 G/V with relative error 2,55 %. The sensor can work effectively to detect a weak magnetic field of 0,1068 G at a distance of 5 cm. Keywords: Hall Effect, Robot Explorer, Android Application

Abstract

Has been developed an acquisition system  data of humidity and temperature by using DHT11 censor and Arduino. Data which have been read by censor of DHT11 then processed by Arduino and then sent to a webserver that is thingspeak. To send data to the web server, used ESP8266 module’s to access wifi signal of portable hotspot. Data of censor of DHT11 then presented in thingspeak with graph form. Temperature data read by DHT11 compared to data read by censor of thermocouple vernier. And then calculated value of error reference that is 1,73%. Abstract

The selection of study programs plays an important role in one's success to determine his future. One of the risks associated with choosing a study is the incompatibility with current job vacancy needs of a company that significantly affects the student's future. Because there are many criteria to be considered, then through this recommender system, students can find out what areas are most appropriate for them. The system is built on the PROMETHEE method. When a student fills out a questionnaire, he / she must be consistent with his / her answer to get the best output based on his / her will and characteristics. This study uses a descriptive analysis method presents a summary of survey results and interviews of prospective students who want to choose a study program, especially FMIPA in several universities in accordance with the codification connected with Job Career so that it can be a reference for prospective students in finding a job. Abstract

The objective of this study was the manufacture of composite nano from ash particles of rice husk ash (RHA) which serves as a high density polyethylene (HDPE) thermoplastic filler. The composite nano-making process is carried out in an internal mixer of laboplastomill at a temperature of 150 ° C at a rate of 60 RPM for 10 min, blend HDPE with nano ASP in compositions (0.2,4,6,8 and 10) % of weight with a compatible 2% by weight and without a Polyethylene-grafted Maleic Anhydride (peg. MA). From the composite nanoscale results were analyzed the mechanical properties (tensile strength, elongation break and elastic modulus) and the diffraction pattern. The result elongation and elasticity modulus analysis increase with increasing RHA nano composition a decrease of tensile strength and yield Strength of XRD analysis result of intercalation between HDPE thermoplastics and RHA nanoparticles. Abstract

Abstract Has successfully tested thermal conductivity on spinach leaves by using Thermal Conductivity Apparatus. Thermal conductivity Apparatus assisted with Steam generator, Caliper, Micrometer, and iron. The thermal conductivity value of spinach leaves is 0.5208 watts / (m.K). This thermal conductivity test on foliage, fruits using Thermal Conductivity Apparatus are very easy to do in Basic Physics Laboratory by physics study program students in Indonesia. Abstract

Atmospheric stability condition is needed to be noticed in a weather forecast especially for short range forecasting. Stability index can be used as a reference to determine future conditions about the exitence of thunderstorm and Cumulonimbus clouds. But the old Total-Totals (TT) threshold is still considered unsuitable for Pangkalpinang. This study uses Total-Totals Index from January to December at 2012-2015 to get the recent Total-Totals (TT) threshold using statistic calculation. After the recent Total-Totals (TT) threshold was obtained, performance test is done for Januari to December 2016. Thunderstorm could already happen when the Total Totals(TT) Index is TT >= 37,76. Based on contingency tabel, miss condition on recent Total-Totals (TT) threshold less than the old Total-Totals (TT) threshold . In reverse with the hit condition. Probability of Cb and TS that could be detected by recent. Total-Totals (TT) threshold is better than the old Total-Totals (TT) threshold. The accuration of recent Total-Totals (TT) threshold is better during the day than during the night. It can be concluded that recent Total-Totals (TT) threshold is able to improve sensitivity on detecting existence of CB and TS. Keywords: Total-Totals, Threshold, CB, TS

Abstract

Ground water is one of the factors that affect the stability of a bridge. One of the Geophysical Methods that can identify the presence of groundwater is Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) method. Configuration of ERT measurement using Dipole-Dipole Configuration. Based on ERT measurements that have been correlated with local geology, the following results are obtained: porous pile soil has a resistivity value : (42 - 58) Ohm.m, below the porous layer there is a water table with resistivity value: (24 - 30) Ohm.m at depth : (6 - 10) m, and the lowest layer is a impermeable layer suspected of Claystone with resistivity value : (40 - 100) Ohm.m. This claystone is impermeable, consequently the groundwater that is in the layer will flow at lower altitude by bringing the material in the form of soil / rock that is covered by the coating, so that the soil / rock under the bridge becomes unstable. Abstract

Geothermal resources in Indonesia are hydrothermal system dominated by water, with characteristic about 20% steam and 80% water. The type of power plant in Indonesia currently used to utilize the source of water dominance is a single-flash system. Brine results from this flashing system still have a high temperature so it can still be used as a new energy source, which uses a double-flash system. This research makes a model of geothermal power plant double-flash system to utilize brine results from flashing so that obtained bigger power. The purpose of this research is to know the optimal flashing pressure in a double-flash geothermal power plant. In this research, the variation of pressure change used was 4 bar, 5 bar, 6 bar, 7 bar, 8 bar, and 9 bar. Based on the research results, it can be seen that maximum turbine power can be generated when the pressure change (ΔP) of flashing is at 7 bar which generate power 9,575 MW with efficiency 82,68%.
