Abstract

Berdasarkan data tahun 2007 keatas di Amerika diperkirakan akan terjadi ledakan gerontologi lansia yang berusia 65 tahun keatas dari berbagai etnik dan ras. Data dari Departemen Pendidikan dan Kesejahteraan Amerika melaporkan bahwa pada tahun 2006 terdapat sekitar 35 juta pasien rematik. Sedangkan pada tahun 2006 Mendapatkan data berdasarkan penelitian bahwa prevalensi nyeri rematik di Indonesia mencapai 23,6-31,3%. Sedangkan jumlah lansia di PSTW Budi Luhur Jambi sebanyak 72 lansia, yang menderita rematik sebanyak 40 lansia dan pengambilan sampel berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi sebanyak 20 lansia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre experimental dengan pendekatan atau desain “one group pre test dan post test”, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner yang dilakukan pada 03 – 21 Agustus 2018. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh lansia yang menderita rematik di PSTW Budi Luhur Jambi yaitu sebanyak 38 lansia dan Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah lansia yang mengalami nyeri rematik yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi yaitu sebanyak 20 responden. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan sebelum dilakukan latihan rutinitas senam rematik (pre test) yaitu nyeri ringan 4 lansia (20%), nyeri sedang 13 lansia (65%), dan nyeri berat terkontrol 3 lansia (15%). Sedangkan sesudah dilakukan latihan rutinitas senam rematik (post test) yaitu tidak ada nyeri 1 lansia (5%), nyeri ringan 10 lansia  (50%) dan nyeri sedang 9 lansia (45%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas didapatkan nilai rata-rata sebelum dilakukan senam 5 dan setelah dilakukan senam 3,5 dengan p-value 0,00 artinya ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah latihan. Dan diharapkan latihan rutinitas senam rematik dapat diterapkan secara teratur sebagai terapi penurunan tingkat nyeri rematik pada lansia.

Abstract

On the minimizing of waste tires which can damage the environment can be done by processing waste tires into powder waste tires and used as a fi ller in the manufacture of thermoplastic elastomer composite which can be used as bumpers on automotive. The Research has been done by mixing the powder waste tires, SIR-20 compound and polypropylene,with Polipropilena Maleic anhydride compatibilizer. Preparation of raw materials is done by making rubber compound with two roll mill mixing equipment. Composite made by blending process at temperature of 180C with a speed of 60 rpm in an internal mixer, with composition (30, 40, 50)% weight and size of 1mm and 60 mesh, composite results in a granular form in the molding hot press, cold, then made in to specimens for each test sample in accordance with JIS K 6781 standard size for tensile test. The Results obtained from mechanical test properties waste tires size 60 mesh powder better than the size of 1mm. The best mechanical properties obtained on the composition of 50% with a maximum of 13 MPa tensile strength and elongation at break 148%. The result of SEM analysis of morphology 60 mesh size is more than homogeneous than 1mm.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the thermal properties of the thermoplastic elastomer with filler powders waste tires on the mixing of the rubber SIR-20 and polyethylene by using of Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) and Termogravimetrik Analysis (TGA). The process of sample preparation is done in Internal Mixer with mixing polyethylene, rubber SIR-20, compatibilizer Polyethylene Maleic Anhydride (PEMA), sulfur and powder scrap tires 80 mesh with varying from (0, 10, 20, 30) phr, with a temperature of 180 ° C and rotor speed of 60 rpm for 15 minutes. DTA analysis results obtained by the temperature of the melting point and the highest reduction in heat flow without powder obtained in composition of scrap tires with a temperature that is equal to 160.3 0C microV -11.975. While the TGA test results obtained the highest mass reduction obtained on the composition without powder used tires is 18.59 mg or by 58 792% with a temperature of 502.6 0C.Keywords: powder waste tires, natural rubber, TGA, DTA

Abstract

This study conducted the preparation and characterization of charcoal briquettes originating from areca nut skin biomass and coconut shell using tapioca flour as an adhesive. Stages of preparation are cleaning, carbonization, densification, and characterization. Characterize by measuring the level of water, dust, and bound carbon. The characterization results showed that the briquette's water content ranged from 4.1% - 6.9%, ash content was 2.4 - 5.8%, and carbon content was bound to 44% - 60.9%. This result is by SNI No.01-6235-2000. So it can be useful as an alternative fuel.

Abstract

Corncob is one of the organic waste which so far still not used as a product that has added value. It turns out that corn cobs can be utilized into liquid smoke which is useful for environmentally friendly food preservatives. In this research, the raw material used is corncob waste as liquid smoke manufacture. The method used is pyrolysis method using pyrolysis reactor, by burning and heating on the furnace which will produce smoke and then it will be condensed (water vapor in the air condenses from gas form, back to liquid) into liquid smoke or liquid smoke. The result of rendeman characterization is 4.3-5%, liquid smoke pH 2.8-3.0 and liquid smoke test applied to mujair fish can survive for 20 days.

Abstract

AbstrakTelah dilakukan pembuatan Pot Organik dengan menggunakan bahan Batang Kecombrang (Etlingera elatior) dan  Tepung Tapioka sebagai bahan perekat. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pot organik sebagai media persemaian untuk pengganti polybag berbahan dasar plastik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Metode Eksperimen dengan memvariasikan komposisi antara Batang Kecombrang dan Tepung Tapioka. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh berat pot antara 800-820 gr, ketebalam pot organik diantara 3 - 4 cm, ketahanan pot organik terhadap tetesan air hujan dengan menggunakan batang kecombrang sebagai bahan dasar dengan energi kinetik maksimal   15,6x10-3 Joule dan kadar air pada pot organik dari batang kecombrang 31,52 – 32,63 % dengan tiga kali pengulangan. Pot organik yang dibuat dengan kombinasi  antara batang kecombrang dengan tepung tapioka baik digunakan sebagai media pembibitan tanaman. Abstract Organic Pot has been made by using Kecombrang (Etlingera elatior) and Tapioca Starch as an adhesive. The research aims to get organic pots as a nursery media to replace polybags made from plastic. The study was conducted using the Experimental Method by varying the composition between Kecombrang and Tapioca Starch. From the research results obtained pot weight between 800-820 gr, the thickness of organic pots between 3-4 cm, the resistance of organic pots to raindrops by using kecombrang stems as a base material with a maximum kinetic energy of 15.6x10-3 Joules and water content in the pot organic from stem kecombrang 31,52 - 32,63% with three repetitions. Organic pots made with a combination of kecombrang stems and tapioca flour are good as a medium for plant nurseries

Abstract

Research on the effect of the composition of Used Tires powder as additives to the strength of Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course (Ac-Wc). Before the making of the specimen, do Design and mixed (mix design) that includes planning, determination and measurement of asphalt composition of each fraction of each kind of aggregate, asphalt, and the composition of the powder used tires. After the job mix, made with a sample weight of 1200 g, and by varying the composition of the powder used tires 5%, 10%, and 15% of the weight aspal.Pencampuran carried out at a temperature of 150oC. Methods of testing is done by using the Marshall test ie based on the results of Stability, Flow and Marshal Quontent. The results showed that the value of stability and flow SNI 03-1737-1989 still meet the standards for the composition of the powder used tires 5%, 10% and 15% and for the Marshal Quontent has met the standard of SNI 03-1737-1989 on the composition of 10%.

Abstract

National Housing (Perumnas) Simalingkar Medan is a residential area that is quite dense with residents around 8,628 households. Until now, the garbage produced by households has not been managed properly, this can be seen from the large amount of garbage that has accumulated in several corners of settlements, in the banks and sideways / riverbanks even in the watershed in the settlements.Waste management at Perumnas Simalingkar Medan still uses a conventional treatment system, which starts from the collection process from a container or household garbage collection place, then transports it to a temporary collection point (TPS) which is also called the transfer depot in the settlement on Sawit Raya road, then transported to the final processing site (TPA) in the village of Namo Bintang. It has been designed a counter that can be used to count household waste and be used as a planting medium that can be marketed by plant entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of bentonite in the calcination process, ball mill and coprecipitation process and synthesis with the surfactant Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide (CTAB). Calcination process at a temperature of 700oC for 5 hours, the ball mill process for 10 hours with a rotation of 250 rpm. And the coprecipitation method was carried out with 5M HCl and NaOH precipitate,and continued to be synthesized with CTAB solution. from XRD analysis for bentonite with HCL5M activation obtained particle size of 8.89 nm with a trigonal crystal system, XRF analysis contained 57.1% SiO2 content, while for bentonite synthesized with CTAB obtained 10.57 nm SiO2 content of 51.1%, the results of morphological analysis showed homogeneous particle distribution. The FTIR spectrum for bentonite showed the presence of an absorption band at 3636.93cm-1 which could be attributed to Al-OH or Si-OH stretching.

Abstract

The objective of this study was the manufacture of composite nano from ash particles of rice husk ash (RHA) which serves as a high density polyethylene (HDPE) thermoplastic filler. The composite nano-making process is carried out in an internal mixer of laboplastomill at a temperature of 150 ° C at a rate of 60 RPM for 10 min, blend HDPE with nano ASP in compositions (0.2,4,6,8 and 10) % of weight with a compatible 2% by weight and without a Polyethylene-grafted Maleic Anhydride (peg. MA). From the composite nanoscale results were analyzed the mechanical properties (tensile strength, elongation break and elastic modulus) and the diffraction pattern. The result elongation and elasticity modulus analysis increase with increasing RHA nano composition a decrease of tensile strength and yield Strength of XRD analysis result of intercalation between HDPE thermoplastics and RHA nanoparticles.
