Abstract

Digital transformation in the field of education demands continuous innovation in learning processes, particularly in informatics courses that emphasize the mastery of computational thinking and programming skills. One widely developed approach is gamification, which refers to the integration of game elements into learning contexts to enhance students’ motivation and engagement. This study aims to analyze trends, dominant elements, platforms used, impacts, and future development directions of gamification-based informatics learning systems through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The research methodology follows the PRISMA guidelines, encompassing stages of literature identification, title and abstract screening, full-text eligibility assessment, as well as data analysis and synthesis. A total of 24 articles were identified in the initial search and subsequently selected based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 10 articles for in-depth analysis. The PICOS framework was employed to clarify the scope of the review, including informatics learners as the population, gamification as the intervention, conventional learning as the comparison, and outcomes in terms of motivation, engagement, and learning achievement. The findings indicate a significant increase in the implementation of gamification in informatics education over the past five years. The most dominant gamification elements identified are points, badges, levels, and leaderboards, with web-based e-learning platforms serving as the primary medium for implementation. Overall, gamification has consistently demonstrated positive effects on students’ motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes. This study concludes that gamification holds strong potential as an effective and sustainable learning strategy to support digital transformation in informatics education.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the banking sector requires stronger security in managing customers’ digital identities. Conventional centralized systems remain vulnerable to data breaches, identity fraud, and cyberattacks, highlighting the need for a more secure and decentralized approach. This study aims to examine the use of blockchain technology as an alternative solution to enhance digital identity security in digital banking systems using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. This approach involves selecting and analyzing relevant scholarly articles to identify trends, challenges, and the effectiveness of blockchain implementation. The findings indicate that blockchain can improve the reliability and accuracy of digital identity data through cryptographic mechanisms, decentralized systems, and verification processes that do not rely on third parties. In addition, the use of smart contracts and Decentralized Identifiers (DID) strengthens authentication processes and reduces the risk of fraud. Therefore, blockchain has the potential to become a key foundation for building a secure, transparent, and trustworthy digital banking ecosystem, although clear regulations and adequate infrastructure readiness are still required for optimal implementation.

Abstract

Hepatitis is a liver disease characterized by inflammation. Inflammation is indicated by elevated liver enzyme levels, which are caused by disruption or damage to the liver membrane. Given the significant negative impact of this disease, serious prevention and treatment of the dangers of hepatitis are necessary. Efforts to minimize these risks can be achieved by increasing public awareness of the factors that can cause hepatitis. Therefore, a system is needed that can serve as an alternative to consulting a doctor for the general public. The purpose of this research is to develop an expert system that can serve as an initial solution in the treatment of hepatitis. In its implementation, this expert system uses the forward chaining method. In this method, data is used to determine which rules will be executed to achieve a result. Based on the testing conducted, it can be concluded that this expert system application can be used by users for the early diagnosis of hepatitis

Abstract

Internet network is a primary need in educational environment especially at SMP Negeri 3 of Lebong Regency of Bengkulu Province. SMP Negeri 3 of Lebong Regency already has internet network using Telkom Indihome provider with 30 Mbps Bandwidth. School does not have a system that can help monitor user internet access, where this can allow better control over user behavior on the network and can ensure that access to the website is in accordance with school policy. The internet access monitoring application is built using PHP programming language with MySQL database. The database is used to store the results of taking user internet access logs and blocked websites. The internet access monitoring application is accessed on the local network by activating the apache web server on the admin laptop and opening a browser to open a web-based application with the localhost/monitoring link. Based on the testing that has been conducted at SMP Negeri 3 of Lebong Regency, the results obtained are that the internet access monitoring application at SMP Negeri 3 of Lebong Regency based on the web can provide information related to users (IP Address) who are active on the internet network and information on sites (IP Address) that have been accessed by each user. In addition, this application can help block websites that are not desired to be accessed by users.

Abstract

Facial emotion recognition (FER) has emerged as a promising component of educational technology, yet its integration into pedagogical practice remains uneven, particularly in vocational learning contexts. This systematic review examines 38 empirical studies published between 2015 and 2025, identified through a PRISMA-guided search of major academic databases, including Scopus. The synthesis explores how datasets, model architectures, multimodal learning signals, and system design shape the applicability of affect analytics in authentic instructional settings. The findings indicate that progress in educational FER is largely driven by benchmark datasets and incremental architectural refinement evaluated under controlled conditions, which limits transferability to hands-on learning environments. While lightweight, attention-enhanced models and multimodal approaches improve deployment feasibility and affective interpretation, most systems remain open-loop and rarely support sustained pedagogical adaptation. Overall, the review highlights that advancing educational FER requires closer alignment between data practices, model and modality design, and the pedagogical realities of vocational education.

Abstract

Precision beekeeping increasingly adopts Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, yet most existing systems remain monitoring-centric. This study synthesizes the architectural characteristics of IoT–AI precision beekeeping systems and identifies integration gaps that constrain decision-oriented operation. A systematic literature review of 50 Scopus-indexed studies published between 2015 and 2024 was conducted using a PRISMA-based selection process and an architecture-oriented synthesis across sensing, communication, intelligence, and decision layers. The results reveal a strong emphasis on sensing and data acquisition, while analytical outputs are weakly linked to operational decision-making, preventing most systems from closing the loop from inference to action. These findings suggest that the main limitation is architectural rather than technological. Accordingly, this study positions a reference architecture as an analytical framework for end-to-end smart beehive systems, with implications for more integrated and practical applications in small- and medium-scale beekeeping operations.

Abstract

The adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in dairy farming has expanded rapidly, yet the literature remains dominated by isolated technological components rather than operationally integrated systems. This study synthesizes research on IoT-based dairy farming systems through an end-to-end system perspective linking system purposes, sensing, data integration, intelligence, operational outputs, and evaluation. A systematic literature review was conducted on 38 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2020 and 2024 following the PRISMA protocol. The synthesis indicates that IoT applications are primarily oriented toward operational performance and initial quality indicators, barn environmental monitoring, animal health and welfare management, and operational efficiency and resource management. Although sensing technologies are relatively mature at the component level, most systems remain monitoring-oriented and support decision-making mainly through notifications and early warnings, with limited automation and operational evaluation. This review contributes a system-level conceptual framework that highlights the gap between technological capability and operational readiness, guiding the development of more coherent and operationally meaningful IoT applications in dairy farming.

Abstract

The determination of the best lecturer is a critical strategic process in enhancing institutional quality assurance in higher education. Conventional evaluation approaches are frequently characterized by subjectivity and the absence of structured multi-criteria weighting mechanisms, leading to potential inconsistencies in decision outcomes. This study proposes an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)-based Decision Support System (DSS) to improve the objectivity and reliability of best lecturer selection at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu. AHP is employed to structure the decision hierarchy and derive priority weights through pairwise comparison matrices, ensuring consistency in multi-criteria evaluation. The assessment framework incorporates pedagogical competence, professional competence, personality, social competence, and academic performance within the tridharma of higher education. Empirical data were collected through structured questionnaires and institutional performance records. The consistency ratio (CR) of all comparison matrices met the acceptable threshold (CR < 0.1), indicating reliable judgment consistency. The proposed model enhances transparency by quantifying subjective judgments into measurable priority scores and generating a systematic ranking of lecturers. This study contributes methodologically by integrating hierarchical decision modeling with institutional performance evaluation, offering a replicable framework for academic quality assessment. The findings demonstrate that the AHP-based DSS provides a robust and accountable decision-making tool for strategic lecturer evaluation in higher education institutions.
