Abstract

The objectives of this research is to know the pattern of causal relationships inter-variables on the decision-making empirical model in Vocational High School (SMK). The decision-making empirical model in Vocational High School, consisting of variables: (a) the adequacy of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), (b) the benefits of using information systems, (c) the ethics in decision making, (d) the contribution of school and social environments, (e) the intentions of behaviour, and (f) the patterns of decision-making. Relation between variables was tested statistically using path analysis. The results of the research are as follows. The varian explained by each variable is mathematically formulated in: ZY = 0.134 A + 0.141 B + 0.102 C + 0.486 D + 0.193 E. The most dominant effect for direct effect is D to E has ρDE = 0,47 and the correlation coefficient = 0,709.

Abstract

This research goal  to heat  transfer rate prediction  on  every node  insurface  line  and  the  difference  of  temperature  measurement  between direct measurement and numerical analysis based on Matlab with finite difference technique. Object of this research is aluminium plate to take shape a plaid square with size 5 x 22 em to divided in 75 node. The result of this research is heat transfer rate on every node in surface line between direct  measurement  and  numerical   analysis   based   on  Matlab  not difference of significance.

Abstract

Sliding mode controller (SMC) has become a popular traditional control method in industries due to the most effective control strategies employing nonlinear control and the ability to reject disturbances, particularly for line trajectory control. However, this control method has chattering problems due to high-frequency switching. To cope with the shortcoming, an artificial intelligence (AI) method is utilized in the traditional SMC to eliminate or reduce this chattering problem. This paper investigates an adaptive fuzzy logic system combined with SMC algorithm to alleviate the problem. Fuzzy logic is chosen due to its advantages in tackling nonlinear properties using if-then thinking, whereas SMC method can be applied due to its ability to reject disturbance control. The inverted pendulum is selected as a controlled object and simulated using MATLAB/Simulink to investigate this control method. By combining the fuzzy logic system and the SMC approach, the chattering problems can be adaptively reduced on the line trajectory tracking signal. The adaptive fuzzy SMC achieved better performance with fast response compared with previous literature algorithms for similar plants.

Abstract

 Learning Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming is influenced by several factors, that is: lecturer competence in PLC programming, adequacy of information technology infrastructure in learning, availability of learning media, vocational guidance procedures, and learning motivation. The purpose of this study: (a) to describe the factors that contribute to PLC programming learning, (b) to formulate a PLC programming competency model, and (c) to examine the determinants of PLC programming learning. Model testing method using Path Analysis.  The results of this analysis are expected to be able to describe the relational patterns between variables in learning PLC programming, as well as the direct and indirect impacts on the mastery of PLC programming competencies.  Keywords: PLC programming competency, path analysis, vocational education.

Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on practicum learning is enormous. Restrictions on learning activities make it difficult for students to accept lessons. Learning models in distance learning must be adjusted for more optimal learning. The level of effectiveness of learning methods is a measure of the success of the learning process. This study aims to test the performance and effectiveness of smart robot learning media in supporting Self Directed Learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study used ADDIE development procedures and, for effectiveness tests using, pre-experimental research with a model one group pretest-post-test design. The respondents were 32 students majoring in industrial electronics engineering. The data analysis technique in this study uses quantitative description. The learning media used in this study is in the form of smart robot learning media that has been tested for the material's feasibility level and the media's feasibility. The effectiveness of robot learning media obtained a moderate category predicate with an increase in a score of 6.22 and an acquisition value of 0.55. The results of the effectiveness value show that robot learning media can support independent learning in the Robotic System Control subject.

Abstract

Burung walet merupakan burung pemakan serangga dengan sayap meruncing, memiliki ekor panjang, berwarna hitam dan tubuh bawahnya berwarna coklat. Hal yang sangat bermanfaat dari burung walet yaitu sarangnya dapat menjadi obat-obatan bagi manusia. Burung walet berkembang biak di daerah yang beriklim tropis dengan curah hujan yang tinggi. Unsur kelembaban dan suhu adalah faktor berkembang biaknya spesies atau populasi burung walet. Penelitian ini merupakan perancangan embedded system untuk kendali rumah burung walet adaptif berbasis ATmega8. Proses perancangan sistem dilakukan dengan menganalisis kebutuhan di lapangan, membuat desain, mengembangkan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Sistem yang dikembangkan menggunakan mikrokontroler ATMega8, sensor DHT11, Real Time Clock (RTC), modul audio, humidifier sebagai pelembab ruangan, mini fan untuk sirkulasi udara, dan LED untuk mencegah hama predator. ATmega8 dipilih karena bentuk yang minimalis dan biaya yang rendah sehingga lebih prospek untuk proksi massal.  Pada pengujian, hampir seluruh kompetensi penilaian berhasil tercapai, kecuali pada peltier kit. Secara keseluruhan, sistem dapat beroperasi otomatis sesuai yang diinginkan dan berfungsi dengan baik.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and determine the feasibility analysis of interactive learning media in the subjects of Basics of Visual Communication Design which is used as a learning medium at SMK Negeri 1 ROTA Bayat. The research method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE development model. Data collection technique using questionnaire with research subjects of class X Visual Communication Design students at SMK Negeri 1 ROTA Bayat. The results of the research that has been carried out can be seen that: (1) the development of interactive learning media Basic Photography through the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, (2) The interactive learning media is suitable for use with a feasibility level assessment based on the assessment of media experts with an average of 90.89% and material expert assessment with an average of 97.92%. Trials on 34 students with an average of 91.68%. In this case, it can be said that this interactive learning media is very feasible to be used as a learning medium at SMK Negeri 1 ROTA Bayat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan aplikasi pengaduan barang hilang berbasis Android yang dilengkapi dengan deteksi penipuan, yang dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat umum untuk membagikan informasi tentang barang hilang atau temuan. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menilai kelayakan aplikasi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan waterfall, mencakup tahapan communication, planning, modelling, construction, dan deployment. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah aplikasi Nemu yang telah memenuhi standar ISO/EIC 25010. Pada aspek functional suitability mendapatkan hasil sebesar 100%. Pada aspek compatibility dengan sub karakteristik co-existence dan pengujian dengan berbagai perangkat android mendapatkan hasil 100%. Pengujian aspek performance efficiency berdasarkan penggunaan CPU hanya sebesar 3.9%, sedangkan penggunaan memori hanya sebesar 2% dan penggunaan energi rata-rata hanya sebesar 126.6 pts. Pada aspek interaction capability mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 88.75%.

Abstract

The digitalization development is accelerating, making it possible to measure the distance without touching the objects. Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensors are widely available on the market as components for distance measurement. Numerous studies on LiDAR sensor application have been conducted, including research on automated guided vehicle (AGV) robots, quadcopters, and tropical vegetation mappings. Previous research focused on LiDAR sensor application but did not evaluate its precision and features in depth. There are possibilities that the components’ performances do not conform with the technical data standards. This study presents the performance testing results of a TF-Mini LiDAR sensor for distance measurement. This TF-Mini LiDAR sensor testing used an experimental method. The sensor performance was determined by the maximum distance reading, accuracy level, objects’ color effect, tilt, and material type of objects being read. The testing results showed the TF-Mini LiDAR sensor had an accuracy rate of 3.17% in the range of 0.3 m to 6 m and 3.27% in the range of 6 m to 12 m, with a maximum reading distance of 10 m. Blue and iron were the most readable hue and material, with an average error rate of 2.78% and 3.2%, respectively. The distance reading results on flat objects with a tilt between 10° and 80° (quadrant 1) exceeded the actual distance as objects’ angle tilt increased, with the yielded error average of 7%. The average inaccuracy for flat objects with a tilt between 100° and 170° (quadrant 2) was 2.75%. Additionally, the distance reading accuracy improved as the objects’ degree of tilt increased. Based on the testing results, the TF-Mini LiDAR sensor could measure distances more precisely when the detected item was between 0.5 m and 10 m away, has a non-light-absorbing color and material, and is in the straight state.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital saat ini menuntut semua sektor, termasuk pendidikan, untuk beradaptasi dan memanfaatkannya dalam proses belajar mengajar. Salah satu bentuk pemanfaatan teknologi di lingkungan pendidikan adalah kemampuan guru dalam membangun identitas profesional melalui website pribadi yang juga dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di SMA Ma’arif 1 Yogyakarta dan bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada para guru dalam membuat website pribadi menggunakan platform Google Sites. Materi pelatihan meliputi konsep pembelajaran digital, perencanaan konten, serta praktik langsung membuat dan menyusun struktur website. Selain menjadi sarana branding diri, website yang dibuat juga diharapkan mampu menjadi repositori materi pembelajaran yang dapat diakses oleh siswa kapan saja dan di mana saja. Peserta pelatihan terdiri dari guru berbagai mata pelajaran, dan sebagian besar belum memiliki pengalaman membuat website sebelumnya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam mengelola konten digital, serta antusiasme yang tinggi dalam mengikuti pelatihan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam mendorong transformasi digital di sekolah, khususnya dalam memperkuat peran guru sebagai fasilitator pembelajaran berbasis teknologi.
