Abstract

This study was inspired by the challenges faced in learning Indonesian literature within the text-based 2013 curriculum. Interviews with teachers revealed students' difficulties in understanding literature, particularly saga material, leading to a focus on knowledge acquisition rather than literary experience. Consequently, a pressing need emerged for innovative literature teaching materials, especially in high schools. To address this, an android-based literary writing e-module was developed following the ASSURE model, comprising six essential steps. The study's findings demonstrate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the Smart Apps Creator (SAC)-based learning media used in the e-module. The validity test resulted in very high scores (85% in material aspect, 88% in language aspect, and 96% in media aspect). Teachers rated the practicality aspect at 94%, while students rated it at 83%. Additionally, individual and small group trials resulted in impressive scores; 86% and 84%, respectively, and N-Gain scores indicated high effectiveness; 0.52, 0.58, and 0.53 for different schools. This research reveals that the SAC-based learning media effectively integrates with students, offering promising prospects for enhancing literature education in high schools. The study's findings hold significant implications for the development of creative and technology-driven learning materials, which can contribute to more engaging and effective literature instruction.

Abstract

This study investigated Muhammad Natsir's thoughts on education, specifically on the basic principles of Islamic education by using the historical tracing method. Data sources were examined through library research due to materials from readings and references to relevant books and manuscripts. Based on the study, it was discovered that Muhammad Natsir laid down five basic principles and concepts of Islamic education in the following: first, tawhid as the foundation of education; second, the position of science is placed after tawhid, which serves as a reinforcement of faith; third, tradition and discipline of thought; fourth, mastery of Arabic; and the necessity of Islamic educational institutions has a crucial role as a facility and a place to actualize these four concepts.

Abstract

Language in the regional regulations discourse of West Sumatra Province differs from other regulations in Indonesia. It is marked by the use of local language in the regulations aiming to strengthen local wisdom and values. The study of the local language and Minangkabau cultures in regional regulation explains the necessity of using local language in laws and regulations and the implementation of Law Number 22 of 1999 about regional government, authorities, and responsibilities of local governments in the fields of language and literature. Within a discourse analysis approach, this study identified the linguistic units of the local language in the West Sumatra Province’s special regional regulation (SRR) and examined how the local language carries and promotes local wisdom and values of Minangkabau people. The results of this study indicate that the words and phrases of local language in the SRR represents local wisdom values of Minangkabau people as shown in Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah, tanah ulayat, jua ndak makan bali gadai ndak makan sando, Adat Salingka Nagari, bajanjang naiak, batanggo turun, ganggam bauntuak, and sako pusako. The resistance of the local language in the SRR maintains local wisdom values that reflect the sociocultural life of the Minangkabau people.

Abstract

The study aims to find out how to improve students' language skills by using a group learning model. The development of language skills can be done with a variety of techniques, one of which is the application of group learning techniques. The province of group learning is viewed from two paradigms, namely psychological and social paradigms. In this group learning process, the teacher acts as a motivator, facilitator, mediator, and evaluator. The stages used in this group learning are the group formation stage and the presentation stage. The presentation stage includes preparation and preparation of learning units (Planungsphase), implementation stage (Durchfuehrungsphase), and summary and feedback stage (Anwendungsphase). The application of group learning techniques was carried out on 3rd semester students in the German language education study program in the Sprechfertigkeit course using the Netzwerk B1 textbook. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the group learning model can improve students' language skills.

Abstract

Developing a physical education learning model based on Team Play Tournaments is an attempt to improve the work ethic of Senior High School (SMA) students who don't do well in school. The goal is to find flaws in learning models that can be used in schools. This study uses the ADDIE model, a research and development method with five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study was done at Pesisir Selatan Regency's SMA Negeri 1 Sutera. Observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and evaluation sheets of student learning results are some of the tools used in this study. All the high schools in the Pesisir Selatan Regency were part of this study, and samples were taken from SMAN 1 Sutera.  Both short and long tests are used for testing. Testing the product's validity, reliability, usability, and usefulness is part of making a learning model. With significance values set at p 0.05, IBM SPSS software was used to examine the collected data. The study showed a big difference between the learning outcomes for physical education using the Team Play Tournament-based learning model, with an average presumptive score of 80. So, the alternative hypothesis (HA) that says the learning results of physical education using the learning model are greater than 80 is correct.  Based on these data, the average score for physical education learning outcomes using the development of the Team Play Tournament-based learning model is 84.94, which can be rounded up to 85. This number is between 81 and 100 and can be interpreted very well.
