Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (2442-8485) & (2460-6316), well-known as GRAMATIKA, is an international forum for original research focused on identities as local contexts, like an identity in linguistics, identity in literature, and identity in language education in global and local contexts, especially in Indonesia. These may include but are not limited to various fields, such as we are interested in interdisciplinary studies examining how issues of linguistics, literature, and education in language influence individual and community identities. In order to publish in GRAMATIKA, a study must have an overview of previous research or theoretical concepts that are packaged to justify the novelty/uniqueness of this study and central focus on local, foreign, minority, heritage, or indigenous languages (or non-standard dialects) and their intersection with either identity and/or education in language, linguistics and literature. We welcome a variety of topics, theoretical orientations, and methodological approaches (both qualitative and quantitative). Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia published by Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat, in collaboration with Asosiasi Dosen Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (ADOBSI) and Perkumpulan Pengelola Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia serta Pengajarannya (PPJB-SIP). Issues are published biannual (April and October) in English since 2020. Submissions are open year-around. However, before submitting, please ensure that the manuscript within Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is written in English or Bahasa Indonesia and follows our focus and scope and author guidelines. Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia has been accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia in 2018 (SINTA 3). Now, Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia has been accredited SINTA 2 (2020) by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia started from Volume 6 Number 1 (2020). The last accreditation is valid until 2025.

Abstract

Minangkabau is identical with  matrilineal system.  Women are at the respected position in society.  However, many Minangkabau women become the victims of violence. These Minangkabau women are verbally violated. These verbal violences are categorized as an action called speech act.   This writing then tries to describe the speech acts of the perpetrators of the violence toward Minangkabau women. The aim of the research is to identify the types of speech act of the perpetrators of violence toward Minangkabau women from psychopragmatic perspective. The research was conducted in Padang city. The data were are collected by having interview, focus group discussion, and observation toward around 10  women, 2 community leaders, and 20 society members. The analysis was done by relating it to the concept of speech act  by Austin (1962), Revita (2014), and  Searle (1969). The result of analysis is descriptively presented. The data indicated that there are four types of speech acts used by the perpetrators of the violence toward Minangkabau women. They are 1) declaration; 2) expressive; 3) comissive; and 4) directive

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi kognitif yang perlu dikuasai oleh guru dalam materi apresiasi sastra anak dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh berdasarkan hasil wawancara semi terstruktur. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan analisis dengan menggunakan analisis kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah dua belas orang, terdiri atas enam orang guru inti SD dan enam orang dosen PGSD UNP. Target dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan kerangka kompetensi kognitif yang perlu dikuasai guru dalam materi apresiasi sastra anak dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning is learning that requires students' critical thinking processes. So that the teacher as a learning facilitator must be able to deliver students to achieve these indicators. However, in reality in the learning process in the classroom the teacher as a learning facilitator has not directed students into critical thinking through HOTS-oriented questions, especially in teaching persuasive speech texts. This happened because of the lack of teacher references to present HOTS-based questions. Based on the description, this research aims to; (1) describe the questions that have been used in teaching persuasive speech texts in class IX SMP, (2) describe the product design in the form of HOTS-based evaluation questions in teaching persuasive speech texts in class IX SMP, (3) describe the results of the product design validity test in the form of a question model (4) describing the results of a limited trial. In line with the title of this research, this research belongs to the type of Research and Development (R&D) Borg and Gall modified by Sugiyono. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. Qualitative descriptive is used to describe the results of the needs analysis related to the questions developed. Quantitative descriptive is used to describe the correlation results related to the results of the validity test to experts calculated by the Aiken V formula. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) Teachers have not implemented and students have never worked on HOTS-oriented questions in persuasive speech text learning ( 2) The design model developed in this study was in the form of 27 questions. (3) the questions were then validated by 3 expert validators, the validation results were correlated with the Aiken V formula showing a score of 0.40-0.80 with a valid category (4) The results of the interviews related to limited trials conducted on 10 grade IX students were obtained The result is that students feel challenged by the questions being tested.

Abstract

Ethnography method is one of qualitative research strategies in which researcher investigates a cultural group of a natural environment in a long period through primary data collection. The data in this research is in the form of old poetry (mantra) which got from 29respondents from 29 districts in Tanggerang regency. To analyze the data, the researcher used domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, and component analysis. From the research results obtained that the data are in the form of elementary constructive structures such as rhyme, diction,imagyand language figurative. The results of this study can be utilized for literary materials especially in literary studies.

Abstract

Anger is one of the basic emotion created by every human being. Anger gets into the realm of pragmatic study because this emotion is a verbal act and is a type of illocutionary speech act, especially expressive speech acts. Angry speech is used more by women than by men. This is due to genetic factors in which women are more sensitive and more able to express their anger through speech. This study aims to describe the forms of speech acts used by women in angry conditions. While the subjects in this study are speeches which are indicated as angry speeches on 7 Hati 7 Cinta 7 Wanita films. The research method used is padan method with data collection using simak method and followed by catat technique. The results are as follows (a) direct literal speech act, (b) direct nonliteral speech act, (c) indirect literal speech act, (d) indirect nonliteral speech act.

Abstract

B.M. Syamsuddin, a writer from Riau, Indonesia, presents his ideology through the short story "Pemburu Rusa Sepanjang Pipa (Deer Hunters Along the Pipe)". By promoting local wisdom, he emerged as a defender of the interests of community groups who were marginalized and ignored by the development process in the flow of capitalism. Through this short story, the author describes the discourse of oppression obtained by the people of Riau—represented by the Sakai ethnic group—who cannot enjoy the wealth of their country. This form of defense is seen through the author's ideology that is inserted in the short story. To explore the author's ideology contained in the short story, the writer applies Antonio Gramsci's thoughts on hegemony and dominance with a functional systemic linguistic approach.  Capitalism that brought humans into the process of dehumanization forced society to follow the rules of the game of the rulers. The social values of society are capitalized in the interests of a few people who ultimately marginalize people's lives. From the results of the analysis, it was found that simplicity and ignorance will be suppressed by a power so that local wisdom becomes meaningless. If local wisdom is done wisely, nature will be well preserved, forests will be sustainable, and the balance of ecosystems will form a harmonious life between humans and the natural surroundings.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk dijelaskan (1) kontribusi minat baca untuk membaca siswa keterampilan pemahaman di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Padang Ganting, (2) kontribusi penguasaan kosakata untuk membaca siswa keterampilan pemahaman di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Padang Ganting, (3) kontribusi kepentingan membaca dan penguasaan kosakata sama untuk membaca siswa keterampilan pemahaman di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Padang Ganting. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA 2 di SMA Negeri 1 Padang Ganting. Ada 31 siswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini dibaca kuesioner minat, tes tertulis penguasaan kosakata, dan tes tertulis pemahaman membaca. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kepentingan membaca kontribusi signifikan terhadap keterampilan pemahaman bacaan; (2) penguasaan kosakata kontribusi signifikan terhadap membaca keterampilan pemahaman; dan (3) kepentingan membaca dan penguasaan kosa kata bersama-sama memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi minat membaca dan penguasaan kosakata siswa dapat dibuat lebih tinggi pemahaman membaca siswa

Abstract

Overcapacity in prisons and non maximized empowerment activities can affect the psychological prisoners such as stress, boredom, or anxiety. Autobiographical expressive writing is used as a way to express regret, sadness, distress, stress, boredom, anxiety, and hone their potential. The research aims: (1) to identify the use of prisoners’ expressive perlocotion; and (2) to uncover prisoners’ problems in Rutan class I A Surakarta. The research type is descriptive-qualitative using a psycho pragmatic approach. Data sources are autobiographical texts write by prisoners in Rutan Class IA Surakarta from a variety of cases and diverse educational backgrounds. Data analysis methods are translasional identity (the determining tool is language/speech), referential identity (the determining tool is something outside the language or problems faced by prisoners and ESA types), and pragmatic identity (the determining tool is the interlocutor). Based on the results and discussion concluded that (1) the speech act of expressive perlocotion in prisoners’ autobiography in Rutan Class I A Surakarta consists of regret, hope, recognition, complaining, pride, sadness, happiness, regret, suggest, criticize, resentment, disappointment, confidence, possibility, gratitude, and praise. (2) The problems disclosed by the prisoners relate to personal, social, economic, and legal issue.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) peningkatan  proses pembelajaran keterampilan  menulis karangan eksposisi pada siswa, (2)  peningkatan hasil keterampilan menulis karangan  eksposisi  melalui pembelajaran Kooperatif  Tipe STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK  Terpadu Ismailiyah Rambah Hilir. Sumber  data diperoleh secara kualitatif  dari lembar observasi, catatan  lapangan, dan kuisioner;  secara kuantitatif diperoleh dari tes unjuk kerja menulis karangan eksposisi siswa yang berjumlah 25 orang. Ditemukan peningkatan dalam proses pembelajaran berupa peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran  menulis karangan eksposisi  melalui  pembelajaran  kooperatif  tipe STAD pada siklus I dan  II adalah mahasiswa lebih antusias dalam memahami materi karangan eksposisi, mahasiswa  lebih aktif dalam memberikan pertanyaan dan jawaban dalam pembelajaran, mahasiswa lebih aktif menemukan dan berpikir kritis dalam  pemecahan masalah  melalui diskusi, meningkatnya ketekunan siswa dalam berdiskusi kelompok, serta siswa tepat waktu dalam mengumpulkan tugas.  Peningkatan hasil keterampilan menulis karangan eksposisi siswa melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada siklus I dan II adalah terjadi peningkatan hasil keterampilan menulis karangan eksposisi siswa dinilai berdasarkan indikator penilaian yaitu perumusan judul, pemaparan, kesatupaduan, keterpautan, ketegasan, dan peggunaan EyD. Peningkatan hasil keterampilan menulis karangan eksposisi siswa dengan nilai rata-rata adalah  15.96 prasiklus , 18.84  siklus I, dan 20 pada siklus II.

Abstract

Language acquisition is one of the interesting things to study. The language acquisition of each child cannot be equated with each other even though they are in the same period of development. This study aims to describe the phonemes that are spoken by children who are in the period of early lingual development (ages 1- 2.5 years). The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data in this study are derived from the speech of two children who are in the period of early lingual development. Data was collected by recording children's expressions and taking notes in a note. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion it is known that children in the period of early lingual development have been able to pronounce the phonemes of language. All vowel phonemes [a], [i], [u], [e], [o] have been pronounced well. While the consonant phonemes are pronounced only phonemes [b], [c], [d], [h], [j], [k], [l], [m], [n], [p], [s] , [t], [w], [ŋ], and [ň]. Some of the phonemes spoken by these children have been pronounced well and some are still not right. The sequence of acquisition of these phonemes has followed the sequence of universally applicable phonological acquisition. Every child gets different sounds even though they are in the same period of development.
