Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia
Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (2442-8485) & (2460-6316), well-known as GRAMATIKA, is an international forum for original research focused on identities as local contexts, like an identity in linguistics, identity in literature, and identity in language education in global and local contexts, especially in Indonesia. These may include but are not limited to various fields, such as we are interested in interdisciplinary studies examining how issues of linguistics, literature, and education in language influence individual and community identities. In order to publish in GRAMATIKA, a study must have an overview of previous research or theoretical concepts that are packaged to justify the novelty/uniqueness of this study and central focus on local, foreign, minority, heritage, or indigenous languages (or non-standard dialects) and their intersection with either identity and/or education in language, linguistics and literature. We welcome a variety of topics, theoretical orientations, and methodological approaches (both qualitative and quantitative). Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia published by Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat, in collaboration with Asosiasi Dosen Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (ADOBSI) and Perkumpulan Pengelola Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia serta Pengajarannya (PPJB-SIP). Issues are published biannual (April and October) in English since 2020. Submissions are open year-around. However, before submitting, please ensure that the manuscript within Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is written in English or Bahasa Indonesia and follows our focus and scope and author guidelines. Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia has been accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia in 2018 (SINTA 3). Now, Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia has been accredited SINTA 2 (2020) by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia started from Volume 6 Number 1 (2020). The last accreditation is valid until 2025.

The problem in this study is how the strategies carried out by ethnic Chinese in maintaining Indonesian in their community. In the daily life of the ethnic Chinese they joke with their communities, they still use Indonesian. The Indonesian language used is of course Indonesian which has been mixed with code. The purpose of this paper is to find out the factors that influence the retention of Indonesian in the Chinese community. Data was collected by direct observation, and interviews with informants who were ethnic Chinese. The speakers in this paper are ethnic Chinese from various circles, both parents, teenagers and children. Respondents were selected based on criteria as native or ethnic Chinese who reside in Padang, West Sumatra. The results of the study indicate that one of the strategies in maintaining Indonesian language for the Chinese ethnics in the community is found in several forms of Indonesian language defense in the form of code mixing. The form of code mix that is found is the fragments of words, and Chinese phrases in Indonesian sentences. Fragment categories of words and phrases found are verbs, objects, properties, information and numerals. This is one of their strategies in maintaining Indonesian.

Makalah ini membahas permasalahan terkait peran pengajaran sastra dan budaya dalam pembentukan karakter siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD). Hal tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang dialami bangsa kita pada saat ini, yaitu terkait dengan menurunnya moral masyarakat, baik di kalangan masyarakat biasa maupun di kalangan pejabat. Langkah-langkah yang dapat ditempuh adalah penguatan pemahaman generasi terkait pengajaran sastra dan budaya karena kedua komponen tersebut mempunyai muatan kajian antara manusia dengan lingkungan kehidupannya. Hal tersebut tentutny ditanamkan sejak siswa masih duduk di bangku pendidikan Sekolah Dasar (SD). Adapun bentuk langkah-langkah tersebut adalah, (1) mengaplikasikan pengajaran sastra dalam membentuk karakter siswa SD, baik di lingkungan pendidikan formal maupun di lingkungan keluarga, (2) mengaplikasikan pengajaran budaya dalam pendidikan karakter siswa SD, dan (3) optimalisasi peran sastra dan budaya dalam pembentukan karakter anak. Dengan melaksanakan beberapa permasalah tersebut, maka diharapkan terciptanya kehidupan manusia yang bermartabat dan berkarakter, sehingga generasi yang berkarakter dapat membangun NKRI pada kehidupan yang bermartabat.

Previous studies have investigated the community's perspectives on local languages’ existence due to exposures to various languages in residential areas or through formal education in secondary schools. However, there is a lack of evidence on the research of university students’ perspectives on local languages’ existence because they are exposed to international languages as a result of learning and the vast development of technology. Therefore, the current study investigates English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students' beliefs on local languages' existence in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In order to measure intangibles, survey research with a one-shot design was conducted following the techniques of planning, defining the population, sampling, constructing the instrument, conducting the survey, and processing the data. The participants of this study were university students majoring in English Language Education and the setting of this study was at one public university in Central Kalimantan Province of Indonesia. A questionnaire in the open- and close-ended questions was distributed to collect data. The current study results confirm that the majority of the participants were active users of local languages and were exposed to international languages (English, Korean, Japanese) through education and entertainment. The participants positively viewed the local languages' existence amidst the exposure of international languages because the local languages were still used in daily life and parts of culture that had been inherited for generations. Furthermore, the participants had taken action to preserve their local languages by continuously using local languages in their family and friendship domains both in the real world and through social media.

This research is an interdisciplinary research that combine language science and information system that is equipped each other. These two languages are chosen in the study because Minang language is the identity of the authors as a media of communications. So, it will be easier to obtain and understand the data (vocabulary) concrete in a cross of this study. Meanwhile, English language is selected as a reference in translating because it is one of the international languages. That is way every level of society including the small region should be prepare their mindset in facing Asean Economic Community (MEA) in order to able communicate with others. One of the effort that we can do in improving english language by reminding vocabularies. This competence will be solve by using dictionary. Therefore the aims of this study is creating dictionary aplication by using PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) whether online or offline access. Within the advantageous of PHP, it will be easy for the user to get the close word into the target language. This research used SDLC Method (System Development Life Cycle). The objective of this research was to to search the identity of the main character in And the Mountains Echoed novel by Khaled Hosseini. This study uses a psychoanalytic approach with content analysis methods. Data collection techniques using documentary techniques in the novel And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. Data analysis techniques with the following steps: data collection, data reduction, data presentation with interpretation, and conclusions. The results showed that the process of finding the main character of the main character Pari in the And the Mountains Echoed novel consisted of the following seven stages: 1) Trust vs. Mistrust: Hope begins at birth-18 months with an example of independence and self-confidence from the family; 2) Autonomy vs. Shame, Doubt: Will starts from 18 months to 3 years in the form of independence and simplicity taught by the family; 3) Initiative vs. Guilt: Purpose starts at 3-6 years of age in the form of learning strength from separation from family and learning to take initiative; 4) Industry vs. Inferiority: Competence starts from 6-12 years in the form of talent development facilitated by his adoptive family and independent learning; 5) Identity vs. Role Confusion: Fidelity starts from 12-18 years in the form of an understanding of its strengths in Mathematics, its lack of attitude; 6) Intimacy vs. Isolation: Love starts from 18-40 years in the form of understanding and accepting the presence of the wife; and 7) Generativity vs. Self-Absorption, Stagnation: CareI begins at the age of 40-65 years in the form of a struggle to educate children, struggle against disease, and struggle to obtain the youngest professor's degree. This study is based on the phenomenon of oral literature development, especially prose development which underwent a quite serious stagnation in Sungai Penuh City. In schools, especially in primary schools, the introducing of prose was still in the form of a general scope, which was the same fable. Thus, it is important to improve the competency of beginner lecturers in the National Competitive Research to develop the utilization of folklore in the form of regional oral literature (Kunun) as a medium for implicating the value of character building in all primary school in Sungai Penuh City. The purpose of this study was to describe the structure, function, and the values of local wisdom and the autonomy of the application of Kunun as a media for improving the character building values in primary Schools in Sungai Penuh City. This study was a qualitative research with descriptive method. Data were collected through the study of literature, direct observation followed by documentation and interviewed with informants. The results of the recording were transcribed into Kerinci regional language and then to Indonesian. The results showed that there were many characters of value in Kunun that could be used as learning media. Besides, the application and the autonomy of Kunun have not been implicated optimally due to several problems. One of them was the lack of references or supporting books about Kunun

Patriarchal ideology puts women as subordinate and feel inferior in various facets of life. thought it was getting counter-discourse presented by the text tale of Timun Emas. In the text, described the loss of the role of men as the highest authority in live. The role of men is represented by four figures; the husband, Ki Butakala, Ki Pertapa, and the Prince. They have superiority , but then lost control of the two rival of women; Nyi Niken and Timun Emas. In the text implied that Nyi Niken and Timun Emas does not need a male figure in their lives. In accordance with the above description, analysis tale of Timun Emas uses feminist approach to look at the differences in the function and role of the human (between of man and woman). So it can be concluded that the tale of Timun Emas events that indicate a loss of patriarchal ideology

Apologies are usually made by someone if they make a mistake. However, apologies for the speech community in Java are not only done after the speaker has made a mistake for a speech or action taken to the speaker, sometimes before doing or telling something that is considered wrong or taboo. In the Javanese speaking community, apologizing tends to be stated in advance even though what is actually said or done is not necessarily wrong. The focus of this research is the speech act form apologizing to the Javanese community in the area of Beringin Village, Lakarsantri District, Surabaya City. This study has a qualitative descriptive approach with an ethnopragmatic design. Research data in the form of situations, events, and communicative actions containing apologies obtained from 46 research subjects through observation and in-depth interviews. The data analysis method is the equivalent and split method with techniques for direct elements, such as missing techniques, dressing techniques, and expansion techniques. The results of this study: (1) the form of speech to apologize is different in modes and components; (2) The form of apologizing is componentially an open form, but in expression, in the same sentence, components that indicate the level of sincerity or other purposes are also inserted other than for the purpose of apologizing.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan hubungan intertekstualitas antara novel Wisanggeni Sang Buronan karya Seno Gumira Adjidarma dan Lahirnya Bangbang Wisanggeni karya RA. Kosasih dalam konteks Indonesia masa kini. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan konten analisis. Data dikumpulkan dengan mengiventariskan peristiwa yang berupa persamaan dan perbedaan dari kedua teks dan melihat transformasi pewayangan dalam kedua teks tersebut. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertama, Wisanggeni Sang Buronan karya Seno Gumira Adjidarma dapat diinterpretasikan sebagai sebuah kritik sosial. Seno Gumira Adjidarma mengisyaratkan kepada pembaca bahwa tokoh seperti Wisanggeni ini sangat diperlukan dalam sebuah negara. Kedua, Wisanggeni, dalam novel Wisanggeni Sang Buronan dan Komik Lahirnya Bangbang Wisanggeni, RA Kosasih mempunyai karakter yang sangat kuat. Dan ketiga, Seno Gumira Adjidarma menghadirkan sosok Wisanggeni dalam bentuk yang berbeda seperti yan dihadirkan oleh RA. Kosasih dalam Lahirnya Bangbang Wisanggeni. Seno Gumira Adjidarma ingin kembali memperkenalkan Wisanggeni sebagai salah satu satria dalam pewayangan yang juga harus dicontoh keberanianya.AbstractThis study aims to reveal the intertextuality relationship between the novel Wisanggeni Sang Buronan by Seno Gumira Adjidarma and Lahirnya Bangbang Wisanggeni by of R.A. Kosasih in the context of Indonesiaan today. This type of research is qualitative approach using content analysis. Data collected by inventory events such as the similarities and differences of both text and see the transformation of the puppet in the text. The research results indicate first, Wisanggeni Sang Buronan by Seno Gumira Adjidarma can be interpreted as a social critic. Seno Gumira Adjidarma signaled to readers that characters like Wisanggeni indispensable in this country. Second, Wisanggeni, in the novel Wisanggeni Sang Buronan and Comics Lahirnya Bangbang Wisanggeni by R.A Kosasih has a very strong character. And third, Seno Gumira Adjidarma presents the figure Wisanggeni in different forms such as presented by RA. Kosasih in Lahirnya Bangbang Wisanggeni by Seno Gumira Adjidarma want to re-introduce Wisanggeni as a knight in the puppet is also example in courage.

This study aims to describe the role of Riau folklore in the development of children's language behavior in TK Pembina Negeri of Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The results of the study show that Riau folklore is very important to be applied, one of which is to preserve regional culture to the younger generation. In addition, Riau folklore can help develop children's language behavior. Children who are classified as active tend to respond verbally while children who are classified as passive tend to give nonverbal responses. Stimulus can also be given to children, which can be in the form of singing, praise, and reward. Children's language behavior can develop well because it uses various methods or techniques in the application of folklore, including using audio-visual media, image media, and hand puppets.
