Abstract

This research aims to examine the differences in the practice of the qunut prayer before and after the bowing (rukuk) in prayer based on the views of the three main Islamic jurisprudence schools, namely the Shafi'i, Maliki, and Hanbali schools. This study also explores the historical background, legal arguments, and the relevance of the practice in the context of contemporary Islamic worship. The research approach used is qualitative with a library research. The purpose of this descriptive-comparative study was to identify the similarities and differences among the three schools of thinking about qunut practice. The results of the extensive inquiry show that, although qunut is not recommended in the Hanbali school, it is done during the Fajr prayer before rukuk in the Maliki school and after rukuk in the Shafi'i school. This analysis concludes that variations in qunut practice are significantly influenced by historical contexts and hadith interpretations. Future research should concentrate on how social dynamics and regional norms affect the acceptance and use of qunut in contemporary Muslim communities.

Abstract

The hadith of the prophet Muhammad SAW has a fundamental role in shaping the framework of values and norms of Muslims. As the second source of Islamic law after the Qur'an, the Hadith is not only a reference in the theological realm, but also has relevance in various aspects of life. One of the most popular Hadith is "Innamal a'maalu bi niyyat" (Indeed, deeds depend on intentions). This Hadith is not only a guideline in assessing the validity of acts of worship, but also provides a philosophical meaning about motivation and integrity in human actions. However, the understanding of this Hadith is often limited to literal interpretation, which provides little room for adaptation in the ever-evolving social, cultural, and intellectual context. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of Schleiermacher's theory to the Hadith on intention, with a focus on the relationship between the language of the text, and the psychological conditions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and his companions who conveyed the Hadith. This study will produce a more complete and comprehensive understanding of the meaning of the Hadith. This research method is qualitative with a literature study approach, data is collected through literary sources and analyzed using Schleiermacher's hermeneutic interpretation technique. The results of this study highlight how the intensity of grammatical and psychological dialogue in reading the hadith about Intention is relevant in social and cultural spaces. The conclusion of this study shows that reading the hadith about intention through Schleiermacher's hermeneutics can be submitted in more depth, not only focusing on the text as a linguistic product, but also on the historical context and the underlying purpose.

Abstract

Technology has become important in education in Indonesia, especially in digital learning that offers opportunities to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Digital hadith applications emerge as a significant innovation that not only facilitates accessibility to hadith texts that have been studied conventionally but also expands the range of understanding and practice of Islamic teachings through various digital platforms, thus encouraging students to be more active in seeking and learning religious knowledge independently and responsive to the dynamics of the times. The purpose of this study is to see how the process of implementing hadith learning into a digital model makes it easier for students to access. The method used in the research is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and questionnaires. From the research results, many students feel helped by the existence of digital hadith because it makes it easier for them to find references, increases understanding in learning hadith, and eases access that can be done anytime and anywhere. Thus, digital hadith has a very significant impact on helping the student learning process. The author suggests that the scope of research variables be further expanded to provide a more comprehensive picture for future research.

Abstract

Interfaith marriage in Islam is a controversial issue addressed in the Qur'an, with several verses prohibiting marriage to polytheistic women while allowing exceptions for women from the People of the Book. Therefore, it is essential to understand M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation in this context. This study aims to analyze M. Quraish Shihab's views on the legality of interfaith marriage through the interpretation of Qur'anic verses, as well as to examine the relevance of his interpretations to this issue in contemporary Muslim society. The research method employed is library research with a thematic interpretation approach, analyzing three Qur'anic verses related to the legality of interfaith marriage through M. Quraish Shihab's tafsir. M. Quraish Shihab's perspective on the legality of interfaith marriage permits Muslim men to marry women from the People of the Book, provided they maintain their honor, while still prioritizing Muslim women and prohibiting marriage to polytheists. His interpretation is relevant in the context of contemporary Muslim society, offering guidance on appreciating differences while adhering to Islamic values and maintaining family harmony. Recommendations for future researchers relate to the exploration of the meaning of "mushrik" in the Qur'an, particularly concerning the prohibition of marrying those who are mushrik.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the paradigm of learning process in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Bandung City in harmonizing Islamic learning traditions with technological innovations intended to improve the quality of education based on Islamic values. Using a qualitative approach and the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation method, this study collected data through in-depth interviews with the principal as well as direct observation in the learning process. The results of this study show that traditional learning methods such as lectures, memorization and the use of textbooks are still quite relevant in shaping students' moral and spiritual character. Meanwhile, the existence of digital innovations such as E-Learning, gamification platforms, and blended learning has increased the motivation of student engagement in the learning process. However, the challenges of low digital literacy owned by educators and limited access to technology are the main obstacles in implementing digital innovations. This study concludes that the synergy between traditional learning methods and digital innovation is a strategic learning strategy in responding to the challenges of modernity without sacrificing Islamic values. This study recommends digital literacy training for educators, strengthening technological infrastructure and developing a curriculum that is adaptive to the times but still based on Islamic teachings and values. Further research is suggested to explore more specific learning models in the context of technology-based Islamic education to ensure effectiveness in various conditions and developments in the world of education.
