Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah, keterampilan proses sains, dan kesadaran metakognisi peserta didik melalui pembelajaran model creative problem solving. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel terdiri dari 58 peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Praya Timur yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, lembar penilaian keterampilan proses sains, dan angket kesadaran metakognisi yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji t dengan bantuan SPSS 16.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah (0,693 > 0,403); (2) keterampilan proses sains (0,369 > 0,094); dan (3) kesadaran metakognisi (0,532 > 0,474) kelompok eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol baik secara deksriptif maupun statistik (p<0,05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model creative problem solving berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah, keterampilan proses sains, dan kesadaran metakognisi peserta didik dalam pembelajaran kimia materi hidrolisis garam.Implementation of the Creative Problem Solving Model to Improve Problem Solving Ability, Science Process Skills, and Metacognition Awareness of LearnersAbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of creative problem solving learning model on students’ problem solving abilities, science process skills, and metacognitive awareness. The method in this study uses a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 58 students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Praya Timur who were determined using the saturated sample technique. The instruments used were in the form of a problem-solving ability test, a science process skill assessment sheet, and a metacognition awareness questionnaire which had been declared valid and reliable. Data analysis was performed using t test with the help of SPSS 16.0 for windows. The results showed that (1) problem solving ability (0.693 > 0.403); (2) science process skills (0.369 > 0.094); and (3) metacognitive awareness (0.532 > 0.474) the experimental group was better than the control group both descriptively and statistically (p <0.05), so it can be concluded that the creative problem solving model has an effect on increasing problem solving abilities, science process skills, and students' metacognition awareness in learning chemistry of salt hydrolysis material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 3 Mataram. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, serta refleksi, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 3 Mataram dengan jumlah 29 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar obsevasi yang digunakan untuk mengukur keterlaksanaan keterampilan proses sains dan kegiatan guru, tes hasil belajar tipe soal pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 soal. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa (1) keterlaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran guru siklus I 75% dengan kategori baik meningkat menjadi sangat baik di siklus II dengan persentase 83%. (2) peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa dari siklus I 50% dengan kategori cukup terampil meningkat menjadi 77% dengan kategori terampil pada siklus II. (3) peningkatan ketuntasan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dari siklus I 61,03% ke siklus II 70,52%, dengan selisih peningkatan sebesar 9,49%, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui metode pembelajaran EPA (Eksplorasi Pengenalan dan Aplikasi konsep) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 3 Mataram.Implementation of Biology Learning with the EPA Method to Improve Students' Science Process Skills and Cognitive Learning OutcomesAbstractThis study aims to improve science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of class VIIB students of SMP Negeri 3 Mataram. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting, the approach used is a quantitative approach and a qualitative approach. The research subjects were students of class VIIB SMP Negeri 3 Mataram with a total of 29 people. The research instrument was in the form of an observation sheet used to measure the implementation of science process skills and teacher activities, a test of learning outcomes of the multiple choice type with 20 questions. The results of the study stated that (1) the implementation of teacher learning activities in cycle I was 75% with a good category increasing to very good in cycle II with a percentage of 83%. (2) the improvement of students' science process skills from 50% in the first cycle with the moderately skilled category increased to 77% with the skilled category in the second cycle. (3) the improvement of students' cognitive learning completeness from cycle I 61.03% to cycle II 70.52%, with a difference of increase of 9.49%, it can be concluded that through the EPA learning method (Exploration Introduction and Concept Application) can improve science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of class VIIB students of SMP Negeri 3 Mataram.

Abstract

Physics learning is identified to hand-on activities and built through scientific activities. Identification of students' understanding regarding physics theories and the ability to design physics experiments was allegedly very important to support the output profile of Physics Education Study Program in the form of professional educators. This study aimed to determine (1) the profile of prospective physics teacher's ability to design experiments at the University of West Sulawesi; (2) the category of prospective physics teacher's ability to design experiments; and (3) learning evaluation of Design and Analysis course of Secondary School Physics Practicum. This research is a descriptive exploratory study, where data is collected using an open-ended observation sheet with seven aspects of the ability to design experiment. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze research data obtained from 40 research subjects. The results showed that (1) overall, the prospective physics teacher's ability to design experiments was in the range 1.96 - 2.51; (2) the prospective physics teacher's ability to design experiments at the University of West Sulawesi was in the quite good and very good categories; (3) the presentation skill was an aspect that needs to be improved, while the theoretical basis understanding was the most prominent aspect based on the learning evaluation results of Design and Analysis course of Secondary School Physics Practicum

Abstract

Studies on Sentul fruit have identified the presence of phenolic compounds in the flesh and have not yet analyzed the total phenolic content. This encourages research to conduct further analysis of the total phenol of Sentul fruit, this is to optimize the value of its benefits, especially in the health sector so that its use can be increased as phytopharmacology drugs. Extensive laboratory studies were carried out with sample preparation and qualitative analysis of total phenol. Determination of the total phenol content contained in the sample extract was carried out based on the Folin-Ciocalteu method. In the end, in this study we can conclude that the total phenolic content of the crude extract of ripe Sentul fruit pulp showed positive results in various sample treatments. Further results are explained in this article.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the validity and reliability of the based discovery learning models to improve creative thinking ability and students’ conceptual understanding of harmonic vibrations. The type of research used is research development (Research and Development) with the research design being developed is 4D Models. The subject of this research is the based discovery learning models to improve creative thinking ability and students’ conceptual understanding of harmonic vibrations. Retrieval of research data using validation sheets which were assessed by 3 expert validators consisting of 3 physics education lecturers. The research data is in the form of qualitative and quantitative data from the validator's assessment of the learning tools developed. The learning tools include syllabus, learning material, lesson plans, student worksheet, creative thinking ability test, and conceptual understanding test. This study conducted a validity test to determine the feasibility and validity level of the learning tools. The validity data obtained a value of 3.39 for the syllabus, 3.41 for the learning material, 3.27 for the lesson plan, 3.41 for the student worksheet, 3.37 for the creative thinking ability test and 3.33 for the conceptual understanding test. So that the average validity of learning tools is in the very valid category with a validity level of 3.36. Furthermore, the reliability test, the coefficient interval results obtained are 0.973 for the syllabus, 0.939 for the learning material, 0.976 for lesson plans, 0.982 for student worksheet, 0.958 for creative thinking ability test and 0.963 for conceptual understanding test. So that the average reliability coefficient interval is 0.965 with the reliable category. The conclusion is that the learning tools are valid and reliable for use in learning activities.

Abstract

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) adalah salah satu masalah kesehatan yang progresif dengan angka mortalitas maupun morbiditas yang tinggi dan berpotensi terjadi ADRs (adverse drug reactions). Resiko ADRs pada pasien CHF berkaitan dengan regimen obat yang kompleks dan banyaknya komorbiditas pada pasien tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengukur kausalitas dan menganalisis obat dan jenis ADRs yang paling sering terjadi. Penelitian ini termasuk retrospective study dengan data penelitian yang digunakan adalah data pasien CHF yang menjalani rawat inap RSUD Provinsi NTB dari tahun 2017 sampai 2019. Penilaian kausalitas ADRs menggunnakan skala WHO-UMC. Data pasien CHF yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 325 pasien. Sebanyak 223 pasien (68,6%) tercatat mengalami ADRs dengan hasil penilaian kausalitas menggunakan WHO-UMC antara lain 8 (1,8%) certain, 178 (39,9%) probable/likely, dan 260 (58,3%) possible. Obat yang paling banyak menimbulkan ADRs dengan status kausalitas certain adalah ramipril yang menimbulkan batuk. Kesimpulan: sebagian besar ADRs yang terjadi pada pasien CHF adalah possible dan jenis obat yang paling tinggi menimbulkan ADRs adalah ramipril sehingga penggunaan ramipril perlu lebih diperhatikan karena termasuk highly probable dalam menimbulkan ADRs.Identification of The Causality of ADR (Adverse Drug Reactions) in CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) PatientsAbstractCongestive Heart Failure (CHF) is a progressive health problem with high mortality and morbidity rates and the potential for ADRs (adverse drug reactions). The risk of ADRs in CHF patients is related to the complex drug regimen and the many comorbidities in these patients. This study was conducted to measure causality and analyze the most common drugs and types of ADRs. This study includes a retrospective study with the research data used is data on CHF patients who underwent hospitalization at the NTB Provincial Hospital from 2017 to 2019. The causality assessment of ADRs used the WHO-UMC scale. Data on CHF patients used in this study were 325 patients. A total of 223 patients (68.6%) were recorded to have ADRs with the results of a causality assessment using WHO-UMC including 8 (1.8%) certain, 178 (39.9%) probable/likely, and 260 (58.3%) possible. The drug that causes the most ADRs with certain causality status is ramipril which causes coughing. Conclusion: most of the ADRs that occur in CHF patients are possible and the type of drug that causes the highest ADRs is ramipril so that the use of ramipril needs to be paid more attention because it is highly probable in causing ADRs.

Abstract

Critical thinking is one of the skills that must be possessed in studying science. During the Covid-19 pandemic, flipbooks and videos can be used as alternative media to improve students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using flipbooks and videos in improving the critical thinking skills of junior high school students during the pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The data collected were in the form of students' pretest and posttest scores. The data were analyzed using the N-gain test and Independent Sample T-Test. The results showed: (1) learning videos were effective for improving students' critical thinking skills with an average score of 0.44 (medium) and (2) flipbooks were effective for improving students' critical thinking skills with an average score of 0.42 (medium). There is no significant difference between students' critical thinking skills, both after using flipbooks and videos.

Abstract

Perusahaan memerlukan teknologi untuk mengembangkan bisnisnya. Inovasi-inovasi diciptakan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas bisnis. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) dan Knowledge Management System (KMS) memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan atau mengintegrasikan seluruh bagian di dalam perusahaan. Karakteristik ERP dan KMS berbeda dalam orientasinya. Sistem ERP berfokus pada pengelolaan aset fisik sementara sistem KMS berfokus pada peningkatan inovasi dan pemanfaatan aset pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penelitian-penelitian yang menggunakan kombinasi ERP dan KMS. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review dan memaksimalkan untuk memperoleh hasil dari pokok masalah yang menjadi Research Question yaitu efisiensi dan inovasi, platform produk dan keuntungan digunakannya dari kombinasi sistem tersebut. Abstract

Basic physics experiment textbooks are widely used by lecturers and students in physics courses at universities, but relevant and easy-to-use basic physics experiment textbooks are not yet available. Most of the available books are practical books. The purpose of this study was to determine the stages of developing a basic physics experimental textbook based on pictorial riddles. This type of research is research and development (R&D) research. The research uses the Plomp Model with three stages, namely preliminary research, prototype or development, and assessment. The subjects of this study were students of the Physics Education study program at the University of HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar. Data analysis used descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the development value of pictorial riddle-based textbooks had a high level of attractiveness based on the assessment of material/content experts reaching 93.75%. The development value based on pictorial riddle has a high level of attractiveness based on field test assessments reaching 91%. This shows that the development of pictorial riddle-based basic physics experimental textbooks has good quality and is suitable for use to improve student learning outcomes in basic physics experimental subjects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan modul PBL berorientasi green chemistry pada materi hidrolisis garam terhadap literasi sains siswa MAN 1 Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen semu dengan desain ­pretest-postest control group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MAN 1 Mataram dengan sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 3 (kelas eksperimen) dan siswa kelas XI 2 (kelas kontrol). Teknik pengumpulan data literasi sains menggunakan tes pilihan ganda beralasan dan angket sikap siswa terhadap sains. Hasil uji prasyarat analisis menunjukkan data posttest terdistribusi normal dan homogen sehingga uji statistik yang digunakan adalah statistik parametrik t-test pooled varian dengan kriteria uji t dua pihak, dan diperoleh thitungsebesar 2,88 dan ttabelsebesar 1,99 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Oleh karena itu thitung > ttabel maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh modul PBL berorientasi green chemistry terhadap literasi sains siswa di MAN 1 Mataram.The Effect of Green Chemistry Oriented Problem Based Learning Module on Salt Hydrolysis Material on Students' Science LiteracyAbstractThis study aimed to determine the effect of green chemistry-oriented PBL module on salt hydrolysis concepts to science literacy of MAN 1 Mataram students. This study used a quasi-experimental with pretest-postest control group design. Sampling was done using cluster random sampling technique. The population in this study was all students of class XI MAN 1 Mataram, with sample research used was the students of XIMIA 3 class (experimental class) and students of class XI 2 (control class). The technique of collecting science literacy data using multiple choice test was grounded. The result of prerequisite analysis test shows that posttest data were normal and homogeneous distributed so that the statistical test used was parametric statistic t-test pooled varian with t test criteria of two parties, and it was obtained t count as 2.88 and t table 1.99 at the 5% significance level. Because of the calculated > t-table then Ho was rejected and Ha accepted. So, it can be concluded that there was the influence of green chemistry oriented PBL module on student science literacy in MAN 1 Mataram.
