Abstract

Zoning-based new student admission (PPDB) is applied in Yogyakarta for the first time in 2018/2019, this system provides 75% opportunities for prospective students in the school zone, the remaining 25% is taken based on grades and 5% for special pathways such as taking assignments parents as state officials. This study uses a qualitative approach conducted at the SMP in Yogyakarta with a psychological approach, while the data collection uses interviews, documents and observations. In the implementation of PPDB zoning there are 2 positive impacts - diverse environments will stimulate students, teachers remain competent in teaching, save rates and time more efficiently - and the negative impact of various elements - children cannot enter Public Middle School even though the grades are good, the best students cannot going to a public junior high school because it is in a blank spot area, teachers must spend more time teaching low-achieving students, less discipline, negative student behavior that will easily spread to other students -. So that it can be an illustration of the zoning policy in addition to the positive impact it also has an impact on the behavior of students in Yogyakarta Junior High School - lack of discipline - which ultimately results in low academic achievement

Abstract

This study explores kinds of errors that the English education department students of the second semester make in writing simple sentences and to examine the most frequent errors they make. Related to this issue, descriptive qualitative method was implemented in this study. The result shows that the second semester students, C class, of English education department made errors in writing simple sentences especially in narrative text. The errors found are 212 errors. They made errors covering all four kinds of errors. They are omission, addition, misformation, and misordering. The misformation errors have the highest number of errors. There are 102 numbers of errors or 48,11% of the total errors. On the other hand, the lowest error is misordering. There are only 12 errors or 5,66% of the total number of error.

Abstract

The Children are jewel the heart and pedestal of the parents, so every parent will surely give the best for their children. Nowadays there are many children not good in attitude and personality. This is very worrying, because they are hope of the nation. Many parents prefer education for leads to increase Intelligence Quotient (IQ), while those related to Spiritual Quotient (SQ), the religious quality side is less attention. To limit discussion, this article will explore the aspects of developing spiritual intelligence in Luqman education. Islamic education is the best foundation to everyone for survival in the future. The concept of Luqman education is spiritual education, such as tauhid (prohibited shirk) the purification of the soul from the arrogant, arrogant nature. Social education, such as amar ma’ruf nahi munkar, not arrogant .The aspects of developing spiritual intelligence in Luqman’s letter verses 13-17 are Monotheism, personal resilience and social toughness.

Abstract

The research investigated how the implementation of stick puppet role play in enhancing the speaking ability is. The reseach method used was Classroom Action Research proposed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The procedures contained five steps: modeling, drafting, creating, rehearsing, dan performing. In modeling, the teacher gave models of several types of conversations. In drafting, the students made the drafs of the conversations while in creating, the students made stick puppets as characterized in the conversations. Next in rehearsing, the students practiced how to do role play using stick puppets while the teacher gave feedback for the improvement. At last, in performing, the students performed the role play and was recorded by the observer. The result showed that from thirty two students, twenty six students got predicate fair, two students got predicate good, and four students got predicate very good. Therefore, 32 students (100 %) were able to reached the criteria of success as their scores were at least or more than 70. The mean score was 74. The highest scores was 85 dan the lowest score is 70. This strategy is able to give positive impacts to the students in delivering the vocabulary, getting the easiness of showing ideas, improving the speaking skill, enhancing excitement, enthusiasm, confidence, and the efectiveness of the strategy. English teachers are suggested to use this strategy in teaching speaking for other language functions and genres. To the future researcher, it is suggested to do research on the receptive skill such as listening and reading as this study focuses on the productives skill especially speaking skill.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of education policies on the existence of inclusive schools contained in the Minister of National Education Regulation Number 70 of 2009. Starting from the gap that arises when children with special needs have education separately from normal children, namely in SLB eventough in Article 31 of the 1945 Constitution state that all citizens without exception have the right to get education. The method used is the Qualitative method with library research studies. The source of the data come from the policy literature and several previous studies related to the inclussion school. Policy analysis theory uses the E.S. Quade theory with the result of research that show that the policies related to inclusive school contain some systematic education implementation which ultimately can realize the principles of Education for all. However, problems arise related to the unpreparedness of school providing inclussion education service which result in learning processes that seem forced and ultimately result learning is not optimal. This requires a new policy from goverment related to te classification of eligible school to carry out inclusive education and minimum IQ standardtation of student so that they are able to follow the learning process to the fullest.

Abstract

Beberapa aspek di antaranya adalah manajemen keuangan, manajemen sumber daya manusia, manajemen koleksi dan manajemen pemasaran. Karena luasnya aspek manajemen di perpustakaan, maka dalam makalah ini penulis hanya akan menekankan pembahasan dalam satu aspek yaitu manajemen pemasarannya. Keberadaan perguruan tinggi sebagai salah satu ujung tombak peningkatan sumber daya manusia dibidang pendidikan adalah suatu kenyataan yang tidak terbantahkan. Perguruan tinggi sebagai salah satu institusi yang berperan memajukan pembangunan bangsa memerlukan sebuah sarana pusat informasi dan dokumentasi sebagai sumber belajar yang dikelola secara baik, mudah, cepat dan tepat. Berdasarkan pembahasan yang telah dipaparkan oleh penulis, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa: Mutu perpustakaan merupakan sebuah pencapaian yang dilakukan melalui serangkaian proses baik dalam kegiatan jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang. Dilihat dari dimensi proses pencapaian mutu, terdapat tiga hal yang perlu diperhatikan oleh sebuah perpustakaan perguruan tinggi, yaitu: mutu input, mutu proses dan konteks, serta mutu outcome. Pada sisi lain, perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan mutu layanan memerlukan strategi khusus, di antaranya adalah: pertama, perencanaan sebagai sebuah tindakan dilakukan untuk membuat masa depan yang diinginkan lebih baik dari masa sekarang. Kedua, learning organization sebagai prinsip untuk tetap belajar secara terus menerus berkelanjutan serta tidak takut dengan perubahan dan persaingan. Serta ketiga, senantiasa berorientasi terhadap kebutuhan pengguna melalui pendekatan TQM dengan berbekal menyediakan SDM, koleksi, dan layanan yang berkualityas serta didukung oleh komitmen petugas dan dana yang cukup. Yang terpenting dari konsep pemasaran di perpustakaan adalah adanya jasa yang berorientasi kepada kebutuhan pengguna, adanya harga (kalau dapat diterapkan) yang layak dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan, adanya tempat yang strategis dan nyaman, dan adanya pemasaran yang memadai. Kalau kombinasi ke empat variable di atas telah dikembangkan secara baik, maka niscaya untuk mencapai tujuan perpustakaan secara efektif akan mudah tercapai. Oleh karena itu kami merekomendasikan kepada pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan dengan Perpustakaan untuk menindaklajuti konsep pemasaran ini supaya diterapkan secara benar.

Abstract

This research is based on social phenomena that occur in the world of education, especially those relating to respect. Respectful mind is one of the ability to think that is important for the future and needs to be developed in the world of education, because it is related to ethical and moral problems and interpersonal relationships. This study aims to test the effectiveness of respectful mind training in developing the character of respect for first-year students. The method used in this research is quantitative with pre-experimental research, research design using one group pretest-posttest. The subjects of this study were first-year students, the subject was taken by using purposive sampling technique. Furthermore, the instruments used in this study include the training manual of respectfull mind and the main measurement instrument is respect questionnaire. Analysis of the data used in this study is a nonparametric statistical test that is Wilcoxon sign rank test. The results showed through statistical tests showed a significance level of 0.005 <0.05 which means that Ho was rejected, and respectfull mind training can improve student’s respect.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to provide prompt method of Makkiyyah-Madaniyyah teaching in Islamic University. It explores Makkiyah-Madaniyyah concept of Jalaluddin al-Suyuti on his works al-Itqan, and combines the concept with other media. This research applies library research. The finding shows that teaching method of Makkiyyah-Madaniyyah focused on Jalaluddin al-Suyuti’s parts or verses mapping combined with Ahmad Hatta’s Quran Tafsir Perkata can support more effective understanding, more comprehensive, free from misunderstanding of determining Makkiyyah-Madaniyyah

Abstract

The article aims to reread Geertz's understanding of Javanese Religion which is divided into three variants namely abangan, santri and priyayi. The focus of the discussion is to discuss how Clifford Geertz understands the Javanese Islamic community. The method used in this writing is descriptive analytic, that is by doing a description and analysis. The description and analysis in question is a way of describing Geertz's understanding of Javanese religion which is reflected in the understanding of abangan, santri and priyayi. The primary data source is the book Clifford Geerzt, entitled Agama Jawa: Abangan, Santri, Priyayi dalam Kebudayaan Jawa, published by Bamboo Communication in Jakarta in 2013. Secondary data sources are from books and journals that are in accordance with the subject matter. The approach to writing uses the Paul Ricoeur interpretation method. The findings of this paper are that Geertz in understanding Javanese religion (read: Islam) is inseparable from the context of the reality of society at that time, both in terms of politics, economics and culture.

Abstract

Pendampingan Pengembangan Manajemen dan Pengelolaan dengan menggunakan pendekatan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) melelui beberapa bentuk tahapan diantaranya workshop yang melibatkan seluruh peserta yang terdiri dari unsur Komite, Kepala Madrasah, Pimpinan, Guru dan staf Madrasah, yang bertujuan untuk memberikan bahan materi peserta dalam diskusi kelompok. Selanjutnya penyusunan Rencana Kerja Sekolah (RKS) dengan membagi menjadi 3 kelompok materi diskusi (Focus Group Discussion) dengan tujuan tersusunnya Rencana Kerja Sekolah (RKS) dari hasil Focus Group Discussion, tahap berikutnya perlu dilaksanakan pleno sekaligus sosialisasi RKS tahun 2021- 2025, yang melibatkan seluruh unsur Komite, Kepala Madrasah, Pimpinan, Guru dan staf Madrasah. tersusunnya Rencana Kerja Sekolah di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Ula Jamsaren Kediri, Kepala Madrasah dan semua stakeholder sebaiknya dalam melaksanakan program empat tahun kedepan, disamping itu juga memperhatikan beberapa aspek point penting rekomendasi tentang Kedisiplinan Warga Madrasah, Pengembangan Diri Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan, Persiapan, Pelaksanaan dan Penilaian Proses Pembelajaran, Penggunaan Materi Pembelajaran, dan Perencanaan Pembiayaan
