Abstract

The principal as a leader, manager, and supervisor, must have stepped into the character education process. The principal as a determinant of the direction of education and policymakers have an important role so that character values are embedded in the school community. Education in essence gives birth to the concept of transferring experience to the students, the activities of transferring experience and its development then occupy a special place in the teaching and learning process. MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagugung Ploso is one of the Islamic school which is chosen as a favorite school of the people in the northern region of the Jombang Brantas River because it is known to have students who have noble character.The focuses of this research are: (1) what is the strategy of the Islamic school principal in strengthening the character of students at MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagung Ploso Jombang? (2) What are the obstacles for the head of the islamic school in strengthening the character of students at MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagung Ploso Jombang? The objectives of this study are: (1) To describe the strategy of the head of the Islamic school in strengthening the character of students at MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagung Ploso Jombang. (2) To describe the constraints of the islamic school principal in strengthening the character of students at MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagung Ploso Jombang. To achieve the above objectives, a descriptive qualitative approach was used by taking the background of MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagung Ploso Jombang with the subject of teachers and other teaching staff. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is done by triangulation, and the use of reference materials. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The strategy used by the islamic school principal in strengthening the character of students is through habituation to religious values, discipline values, and environmental care values. Routine activities and programmed activities are expected to strengthen character values in students and finally monitoring and evaluation, in monitoring the development of character education, principals are assisted by their respective homeroom teachers through a liaison book then the results will be brought to regular meetings to evaluate. (2) the obstacles faced by the principal in strengthening the character of students come from within the students themselves (internally) and from outside the students themselves (externally).

Abstract

A learning strategy is a plan that contains a series of learning activities that are specifically designed both in terms of methods and their use to achieve educational goals. Therefore, to achieve the desired educational goals in learning. Teachers are expected to have several learning strategies in order to increase student motivation. The research focus in this study is how the teacher's strategy in increasing the motivation to learn Aqidah Akhlak at MI Ma'arif NU Mambaul Ulum Gempol Benjeng, what are the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by teachers in increasing motivation to learn Aqidah Akhlak at MI Ma'arif NU Mambaul Ulum Gempol Benjeng. In this study, the authors used a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data by means of triangulation. The results of the research found at the research location show that the success of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in increasing student learning motivation is good and increasing. This can be seen from the students who are lazy to study, become active in learning and read a lot and dare to express opinions in the learning process. Then in increasing the motivation to study Aqidah Akhlak there were a number of obstacles experienced by MI Ma'arif NU Mambaul Ulum Gempol Benjeng teachers. However, the obstacles experienced by teachers can be minimized with the support of parents of students, the ability of teachers to use learning media. The conclusion in this study is that the teacher has an expository strategy and an inquiry strategy in increasing learning motivation, there are a number of obstacles felt by the teacher in increasing student learning motivation, as well as the existence of supporting factors such as support from parents of students who can help teachers in increasing motivation to learn Aqidah Akhlak.

Abstract

This study aims to find and describe the strategies used by Madrasah heads in developing a management system for Scout extracurricular activities at MINU Nurul Huda, Gempol District, Pasuruan Regency and to describe the development of a Scout extracurricular activity management system at MINU Nurul Huda, Gempol District, Pasuruan Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive method. While this type of research is field research (field research). The research data were collected using the methods of observation, interviews and documentation. The data collected from these techniques were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation and data verification, data validity was obtained using data triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the principal's strategy has used the principles of the management system. The principles in question are continuous and continuous improvement, focus on activities and total involvement. The indicators are related to continuous improvement including quality and competency improvements. Scout extracurricular activities are carried out in accordance with the management system from Planning, Organizing, Actuating and Controlling.
