Abstract

The surefire way to achieve prosperity is entrepreneurship. In the digital era, there are almost no obstacles to starting a business. The only capital is creativity and courage. Anyone can open an online store, without having to open a physical store first, including women. Women business actors are identical to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Indonesia and Malaysia are countries that have a majority Muslim population. For a Muslim woman, success can be seen when she manages to build a sakinah family. Women's digital entrepreneurship offers flexibility between work and household matters. This study aims to analyze the important factors that help explain the success of Muslim women MSME entrepreneurs who use digital channels in marketing their products. The study was applied through a descriptive-qualitative approach, where the data were primary-based. The objectivity was applied to 103 informants obtained from several MSME communities randomly from Indonesia and Malaysia. We find that social capital is a relevant factor for entrepreneurial success among Muslim women MSME entrepreneurs, the form of social capital is the number of children. This finding supports the idea that Muslim women entrepreneurs who have fewer children tend to spend more time on their business than Muslim women entrepreneurs who have more children. Financial capital projected by income growth also affects success, although income growth is on a small scale. Self-efficacy due to internal factors originating from within MSME female entrepreneurs such as self-confidence and tenacity, they are successful in their business. Religiosity has a significant effect on the success of a Muslim woman entrepreneur.

The purpose of this study is to determine the behavior of the Indonesian millennial generation with Islamic financial literacy variables, religiosity and service quality towards the decision to save in Islamic banks. This research is quantitative research by using online questionnaires to respondents who are qualified as millennial generation or their birth years are from 1980 to 1999. The sample used is 170 respondents from the Indonesian millennial generation. The analysis in this research used multiple linear regressions. The results of this study indicated that the Islamic financial literacy variable and service quality had a significant effect on saving decisions. Meanwhile, the religiosity variable did not significantly influence the decision to save. It showed that the millennial generations’ decision to save at Islamic banks has shown their rationality in behavior in the way of increasing financial literacy and choosing good service quality. Meanwhile, their high level of religiosity did not necessarily affect their decision to save at the Islamic Bank.

Abstract

The culture and geography of a country are the cause of low Islamic financial inclusion and the lack of public knowledge in the Southeast Asian region about the Arabic term on Islamic financial products. Therefore, this study aims to integrate local wisdom and Islamic financial inclusion and realize Islamic -based financial products based on local wisdom. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that is a literature review. The object of the discussion is sourced from research, articles, and reference books related to this topic. The research results are integrating culture with Islamic financial institutions through several efforts, first preaching the Islamic economy with a psychosufistic approach that manifests in the value of Tauhid, humanity, humility, local wisdom and self-transformation to people with low Islamic financial literacy. The second is to strive to create financial products by identifying traditional economic practices throughout Indonesia based on research analyzed by the ‘urf rule. This research has implications for information on the potential market share of Islamic finance in Indonesia and solutions to developing Islamic financial inclusion. The issue of strengthening the market share of Islamic finance in rural areas is still weak. This research study is the first to develop financial products based on local practices in Indonesia.
