Abstract

AbstrackThe purpose of this study was to determine the growth performance of quail given additional feed of cassava leaf flour with different levels. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and each treatment consisted of 4 as replications, the treatments given were P0 = feed without cassava leaf flour, P1 = feed containing 4% cassava leaf flour, P2 = feed containing 6% cassava leaf flour, P3 = feed containing 8% cassava leaf flour, P4 = feed containing 10% cassava leaf flour. The number of quail used in this study was 140. The variables used were feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion. The results showed that the growth of quail fed with additional cassava leaf flour did not have a significant effect (P0.05) on weight gain and feed conversion, but had a significant effect (P0.05) on feed consumption. It was concluded that giving cassava leaf flour at a level of 4-10% in feed can reduce feed consumption in quail aged 1-42 days, giving cassava leaf flour cannot increase weight gain in quail aged 1-42 days, giving cassava leaf flour provides a feed conversion value that is not different, ranging from 2.30 - 2.43.Keywords: Quail, growth, cassava leaf flour.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to measure the incidence rate (prevalence)of FLUTD cases in cats seeking treatment at the Gorontalo City Animal Health Center (Puskeswan). Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) is a disease that often occurs in cats, one of which is coused by the presence of crystals in the urinary bladder. The samples examined were cats that had FLUTD and sought treatment at the Gorontalo City Health Center from January to March 2024. The examination method was to examine the patient’s ambulatory. Cat patients who come have an ananemsa byasking the animal owner several questions, which are then recorded in the ambulatory. After the patient’s analysis is carried out, a physical examination is carried out by measuring body temperature, listening to the respiratory tract using a stethoscope, which aims to find out whether only the digestive system is affected or whether the respiratory system has been attacked. The cat’s urinary bladder is palpated to see if it is hardened and pressure is tried to produce urine. If urine does not come out, it is necessary to install a catheter. The mouth is then opened to determine the condition of the inside of the mouth, whether is has experienced systemic poisoning due to toxins or body waste that cannot be excreted through urine. Cats that have been poisoned will have a purplish color on their oral mucosa. The prevalence of FLUTD in cats seeking treatment from January to March at the Gorontalo City Health Center was 13,5%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this research is to measure the incidence rate (prevalence) of stomatitis cases in cats treated at the Gorontalo City Animal Health Center (Puskeswan). Stomatitis is inflammation of the oral cavity, gums and tongue accompanied by ulcers and necrosis. The samples examined were cats that had stomatitis and sought treatment at the Gorontalo City Health Center from January to March 2024. The examination method was to examine the patient's ambulator. The patient's ambulator is the first record when the patient is handled. Cat patients who come have an anemsa by asking the animal owner several questions, which are then recorded in the ambulator. After the patient's analysis is carried out, a physical examination is carried out by measuring body temperature, listening to the respiratory tract using a microscope, which aims to find out whether only the digestive system is affected or whether the respiratory system has been attacked. The mouth is then opened to determine the condition of the inside of the mouth. The parts observed include the upper lower lip, upper and lower tongue, right and left gums, the roof of the mouth and the patient's teeth. The prevalence of stomatitis in cats treated at the Gorontalo City Health Center was calculated by dividing the number of patients treated during January to March 2024 by one hundred percent. The data was then analyzed descriptively. The prevalence of Stomatitis in cats receiving treatment from January to March at the Gorontalo City Health Center was 25.7%.
