Abstract

ABSTRACTLATIP ALI. 2019. Appearance of Quail Egg Production at Different Cage Density Levels. Under Guidance I Syukri I. Gubali and mentor II Ellen J Saleh.This study aims to determine the appearance of quail egg production at different cage density levels. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. P1 treatment (density of 5 tails), P2 (density of 8 tails), P3 (density of 11 tails), and P4 (density of 14 tails). The parameters measured were egg production, egg weight, and ration consumption.The results showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P 0.05) on egg production, egg weight, and ration consumption.The highest yield for egg production was P1 0.86%, egg weight was P1 9.37g, ration consumption was P4 137.72 gr.

Abstract

The research objective was to evaluate the provision of skipjack tuna offal flour as a substitute for fish meal in quail rations. The research was conducted in August - October 2020 in Boidu Village, North Bulango District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD). The use of skipjack offal flour in the ration had no significant effect (P 0.05) on ration consumption, ration conversion and body weight gain between treatment and control. The use of skipjack fish offal flour up to a content of 12% as a substitute for fish meal can be used in super native chicken rations.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the growth of quail aged 3 weeks, based on different cage densities. Completely randomized design was used during the study, with the density of quails in cages were 11 (P1), 13 (P2), 16 (P3), and 20 (P4). The results showed that differences in quail density in cages affected (P0.05) body weight, consumption, and conversion of quail during rearing. the number of quail in the cage is 11 for a cage size of 35x30x40 cm. Body weight, consumption, and conversion of feed produced at 3 weeks of age were: 95.52 gr, 12.53 gr, 0.13

Abstract

This present research aims to analyze and determine the crude protein, crude fiber, and energy contents of the quail ration formulation added with Moringa leaf flour. The raw material for the ration is Moringa leaf flour, while the basic ingredients of feed are milled corn, concentrate, rice bran, fish meal, and premix. The method used is a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The research finding indicates that the addition of Maringa leaf flour up to a level of 8% in the ration does not have a significant effect (P0.05) on the contents of crude protein, crude fiber, and energy. It can be concluded that Moringa leaf flour can be added up to a level of 8% in the feed ration of laying quail.

Abstract

Fish innards are waste from fish smoking areas and fish shelters that can be used as alternative feed ingredients in quail rations. This study aims to analyze the effect of feeding skipjack viscera in the ration to the appearance of quail in the grower phase. The research material used 160 quails aged 2 weeks. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 trials and 4 replications. The treatments in this study were P0 (12% without skipjack viscera meal), P1 (3% skipjack viscera meal). P2 (6% of skipjack offal flour). P3 (9% skipjack offal flour). P4 (12% skipjack offal flour). Based on the results of the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) it showed that the provision of steamed skipjack innards flour did not have a significant effect (P0.05) on egg production, ration consumption, ration conversion, shell thickness and index of width and length of quail eggs, but had a very significant effect. significantly (P0.05) on egg weight. Abstract

The Etawa Crossbreed (PE) goat is a cross between an Etawa goat and a peanut goat which has the potential to produce milk. This study aims to determine the fat and protein content of Etawa goat's milk. The type of research used is experimental research with the treatment of taking milk in the morning. This study uses a T test with 3 treatments and 3 replications and the data from the calculation of the Analysis of Variance if it shows a significant difference then is further tested with the BNT and BNJ tests of 5%. Parameters in this study were fat and protein content. The results showed that the fat content of Etawa goat's milk was not significantly different. In the results of statistical analysis, it can be seen that the highest average fat content is at parity 3, which is 7.92%, from parity 2, which is 7.46% and parity 1, which is 6.03%. In the protein content of the highest average, the protein content in parity 2 is 5.46% compared to parity 3 which is 5.03% and parity 1 which is 5.0%. The conclusion is that Etawa goat's milk will have an effect on fat and protein levels, this can be seen at parity 3.

Abstract

This service will be addressed to the residents of Ombulodata Village, Kwandang District, North Gorontalo Regency. Several activity programs have been carried out at the location of the activity, namely the Introduction and Processing of Eggshell Waste into Organic Fertilizer, Eggshell Waste Collection, Eggshell Waste Processing into Flour, and Organic Fertilizer Production. The method used in empowering the target partner group is a learning technique in the form of providing theory and simulation to village residents who are target partners and then direct practice with students and villagers. Ombulodata village has the most agricultural land compared to other villages in Kwandang sub-district. the local government provides assistance in the form of more fertilizer to each farmer group. but often insufficient and even damage the plant. Another potential possessed by Ombulodata village is, if you observe the area around Ombulodata village, the availability of land with fruit, chili and tomato plants is quite a lot

Abstract

High egg production is not only determined by animal feed and drinking, but the cage is also an important factor, because cages that do not meet the requirements will have an impact on livestock, farmers and the community. Community service activities aim to increase knowledge and skills for employees and cage workers at Bintang RS. Pulubala about good cage management for laying hens. In efficient cage construction and layout at Bintang RS. Pulubala can cause a decrease in egg production and the health of chickens. The layout, construction of cages and equipment of existing cages at Bintang RS. Pulubala has not met the requirements for non efficient and productive laying hens. So that egg production and the health of chickens have not been maximized. Abstract

Tujuan Pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kelompok peternak dalam penanganan burung puyuh dimasa awal pemeliharaan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di desa Timbuwolo, melibatkan masyarakat peternak pemula. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama Agustus-September 2022. Mitra yang berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan pengabdian sebanyak 15 peternak, ternak burung puyuh sebanyak  200 ekor yang dijadikan obyek dalampeningkatn kompotensi. Alat yang digunakan brooding berkapasitas 500 ekor, dan kandan batrei ukuran 60 cm x 400 cm. Model pelaksaanan mengelola ternak burung puyuh, melalui penyerapan pengetahuan, dan praktek pengelolaan ternak burung puyuh. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan cara pra tes dan post test. Nilai pre-tes menggabarkan 6.70% berpengetahuan burukatau tidak mengetahui  dalam pembuatan brooding burung puyuh, sedangkan 66.70% memiliki pengetahuan kurang dalam pembuatan brooding burung puyuh. peningkatan pengetahuan pembuatan brooding sebesar 56.70%, dan menurunnya angka ketidaktahuan peternak dalam pembuatan brooding yang ideal sebesar 33, 37%.  Penyiapan booding sebelum masuknya DOQ harus disiapkan terlebih dahulu. Peningkatan kompotensi penyiapan brooding sebesar pada peternak yang berpengetahuan rendah sebesar 3.30-29.97%. Kompotensi peternak pemula dalam pengelolaan usaha burung puyuh dimasa awal pemeliharaan meningkat 29-43.7% setelah mendapatkan bimbingan
