Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine how much the relationship of body weight and goat milk production of PE. This research was carried out at the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of Wonggahu Livestock Development in April to May 2017. The variables observed were body weight and goat milk production of PE. Number of PE goats studied by 30 tail. The data obtained were analyzed using simple regression by and simple correlation analysis by. The results showed that the average body weight of goat PE was 41.2 kg/head/day with milk production of 0.339 liter/head/day. The relationship of body weight and goat milk production of PE is strong with a correlation value of 0.691 with a coefficient of determination of 0.477. Contribution of body weight to goat milk milk production of 47.7% and the remaining 52.3% influenced by other factors not examined. the regression equation of body weight with goat milk production of PE is Y= 0,316 + 0,001 X + e.

Abstract

This research is the first step, with aims to determine the production and reproduction ability of Crossbreding between male native chicken with female Isa brown strain leghorn, to be the parent in the next stage of research . This study used 3 male native chicken 12 -24 months of age. and and 28 females of Leghorn chicken 14 month of ege, with body weight 1100-1200 gram, crossbreding using artificial Insemination methode, semen domestic chicken dilution rate using physiological NaCl, ratio sperm dilution 1 : 4. They were put in grower flocks with density of one birds per cage. Feeds during experiment were given in phases, starter Feeds (Protein 21% and Energy 3000 kcal/kg), for layer (Protein 17% and Energy 2900 kcal/kg). Drinking water during experiment were given adlibitum. The result of the study illustrate crossbreeding between male native chicken and female leghorn chiken Isa Brown strain is eggweight: 51.50-54.17 gram, egg index: 0.76-0.79%., egg fertility 65,70-78,00%, hatchability 76.83-78.75%. In conclusion: egg weight of 52.42 eggs, egg index 0.78, eggs fertility 74.43%. hatchability 77,93%,Keywords : native chiken, leghorn, crossbreeding

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the equilibrium of external genetic for the population of crossbreed chicken. Observations were made at the Poultry Production Unit Laboratory at Gorontalo State University. The focus was focused on the genetic equilibrium of the feathers covering the body, variations in coat color, calf color, and comb shape of the crossing population. Algebraic analysis (a + b = 1) was used to calculate phenotype frequencies, genes, and genes heterozygosity of feather color, feather pattern, shank color and comb shape for the cross chicken population. Analysis of genetic Equiblirium in the pattern of feather color, coat color, shank color, and comb shape in chicken populations was used the chi-square test. The genetic equilibrium for feather pattern can be achieved in the f2 generation. The f2 population found 3 feather color patterns: black, brown/light brown, and Columbia. Phenotype distribution; 9: 4: 3. The frequency of Genesis 0.157; 0.296; 0.546 and there was an increase in heterozygosity by 0.688 ± 0.121. The genetic equilibrium for comb shape is achieved in f1 and f2 generations. The genetic equilibrium for feather pattern can be achieved in the f2 generation.  The genetic equilibrium in cross-breed populations that have recessive/dominant homozygotes can be achieved in one generation while for cross-breeding chickens that have heterozygous properties, genetic equilibrium can be achieved in short generations if these traits are expressed evenly in the population.

Abstract

Hariyati Sarimo. 621415025. Effect of Addition of Coconut Vegetable Protein Source to the Increase in Weight of Ettawa (PE) Goat Breeding Body. Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, Gorontalo State University. Guided by Nibras Karnain Laya and Umbang Arif Rokhayati. The study aimed to determine body weight gain and feed conversion. This research was conducted in March 2019 - April 2019. The location of the study was conducted in Paris Village, Mootilango District, Gorontalo Regency. The study used 20 female ettawa (PE) Peranakan goats with age 2-3 years by providing forage feed and 50% coconut cake added. While processing data using the t test. The results showed that the addition of coconut cake was significantly different (P 0.05) to the value of the weight gain of ettawa goat breeds. where the average increase in body weight of ettawa Peranakan goat (PE) is 33 g / head / day. For feed conversion in ettawa (PE) crossbreed goats who were given an additional feed of coconut cake showed feed conversion of 0.18% and Etawa Peranakan goats given forage feed alone had a feed conversion value of 0.27%. The conclusion is that the addition of coconut cake was significantly different (P 0.05) on the increase in Ettawa (PE) goat body weight gain.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate body weight gain (PBB), ration consumption and ration conversion of Kampung Super chickens fed with turmeric flour in their rations. Single factor analysis was used in this study. Turmeric flour was given in stages: 0% (control), 2%, 4%, and 6%. Based on the results of the evaluation for ration consumption, it showed that the provision of turmeric flour was not significantly different (P 0.05) on the ration of super native chicken consumption. The average feed consumption is 324.39-338.69 g / head. Evaluation of body weight gain, showed that giving turmeric flour had a significant effect (P 0.05) on body weight gain. The ration conversion evaluation showed that the use of turmeric flour had a significant effect (P 0.05) on the ration conversion of Kampung Super chickens. The addition of 2-6% turmeric flour to native chicken rations showed an increase in body weight, a decrease in ration conversion. The recommendation for using turmeric in the super native chicken ration is 4% of the total basal ration
