Abstract

An innovative vision is considered critical to school development, as it enables school directors to anticipate future outcomes and challenges and to inform strategic and operational planning. It can also be incorporated into the creation of the school's strategic plan and annual operational plan. The present study aimed to validate a scale that reflects innovative vision in high school. The study surveyed 820 teachers to assess their perceptions of the innovative vision of high school principals in the four Cambodian provinces, who were all asked to complete a survey on their perceptions of implementing the tasks of high school directors. This 5-point Likert scale assessed school directors' ability to create, implement, disseminate, and serve as role models in Cambodia. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were adopted in this study. The EFA results demonstrated that the scale contains four dimensions with good indicators with model fit χ2 (84) = 216.587, χ2/df=2.58, P < 0.001. Good model fits derived from CFA supported the four-dimensional structure. Further analysis revealed positive correlations between this scale and the other scales, indicating convergent validity. These findings confirmed that this scale is a reliable and valid tool for innovative vision in Cambodia. In future studies, researchers may extend its use in other educational levels by examining its reliability and validity.

Abstract

This study employs the concept of differentials, or mathematical derivatives, to determine the maximum profit points for Cirebon-style Nasi Lengko UMKM, namely Trader A and Trader B, both located in Sunyaragi Village. The study employs a quantitative descriptive approach, using interview data on capital, selling price, revenue, and production quantity. The data are then formulated as functions of total cost, revenue, and profit, using the first derivative to identify the critical points and the feasible domain. The results show that Trader A, with a capital of Rp 101,000 and a capacity of 20 portions, obtains a maximum profit of Rp 99,000 when all production is allocated to egg Nasi Lengko priced at Rp 10,000 per portion, due to a constant negative derivative. Meanwhile, Trader B, with a capital of Rp 200,000 and a capacity of 40 portions, achieves a maximum profit of Rp 200,000 by producing Nasi Lengko at a price of Rp 10,000 per portion, with a constant positive derivative. This study demonstrates that the concept of derivatives can help optimise production decisions in traditional food UMKM, despite limitations such as a small sample size and limited variable-cost data. Further studies are recommended to use a wider sample and more comprehensive data.

Abstract

The development of information technology encourages business actors to shift from manual systems to more efficient computerized systems. Loddy’s Pet Shop Cirebon still uses manual (non-computerized) transaction recording, which is prone to human error, data loss, and delays in financial reporting. This research aims to design and implement a payment system based on the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), integrated with the store’s cashier system, to facilitate transaction processing and financial recording. The research method used is descriptive, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and literature study, while the system development adopts the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The system is built using PHP and MySQL and integrated with the Midtrans payment service to generate dynamic QRIS codes. The implementation results show that the system can minimize recording errors, accelerate payment processes, generate financial reports automatically, and improve operational efficiency. With this system, Loddy’s Pet Shop can enhance service quality and gain a competitive advantage in the digital era.

Abstract

In mathematics teacher education, English learning is often treated primarily as a linguistic requirement rather than as a pedagogically meaningful component of professional preparation. Consequently, English courses frequently contribute little to the development of pedagogical identity among pre-service mathematics teachers. This study aims to examine how local culture–based English learning materials function as a pedagogical space for the construction of pedagogical identity among pre-service mathematics teachers. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach conducted in an English for Mathematics Learning course involving 80 sixth-semester pre-service mathematics teachers. Data were collected through open-ended questionnaires, classroom observations, and students’ written reflections embedded in culturally contextualized learning activities, and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that integrating local culture into English learning materials supports pedagogical identity development by encouraging culturally situated learning, reframing English as a pedagogical tool for explaining mathematical concepts, strengthening pedagogical confidence, and promoting reflective and collaborative learning practices. Cultural familiarity also reduces linguistic anxiety and enables students to position themselves more confidently as future mathematics teachers. These findings highlight the role of local culture as an epistemic and affective resource that supports participation, strengthens instructional confidence, and facilitates the development of pedagogical identity within mathematics teacher education.

Abstract

Mathematics plays a fundamental role in developing logical, analytical, and systematic thinking; therefore, mathematics learning should emphasize not only procedural mastery but also meaningful conceptual understanding. One essential process standard in mathematics learning is mathematical representation, as it enables students to organize ideas, communicate reasoning, and transform abstract concepts into visual, verbal, and symbolic forms. In plane geometry, particularly quadrilaterals, many students experience difficulties in drawing accurate figures, linking geometric properties to formulas, and translating contextual problems into mathematical models. In addition to cognitive challenges, affective factors such as low perseverance and the tendency to give up easily indicate the need to strengthen students’ mathematical resilience. This study aimed to develop a group investigation–based mathematics e-comic for quadrilateral topics at the junior high school level and to examine its feasibility and effectiveness. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The product was validated by subject-matter experts and media experts and implemented with 32 seventh-grade students at SMP NU Darul Ma’arif. Data were collected through validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning evaluations. The results indicate that the developed e-comic meets high feasibility criteria and receives positive responses from teachers and students. The integration of narrative visuals with group investigation activities enhances engagement, supports students’ understanding of quadrilateral concepts, and encourages active participation and discussion. Therefore, the proposed e-comic is suitable as an alternative learning medium for junior high school mathematics instruction.

Abstract

This study analyzes the position of Law Number 20 of 2025 concerning the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP 2025) as an instrument for assessing judges’ compliance with the 10 Points of the Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Judges’ Conduct (KEPPH) in criminal trials. The KUHAP update is not only intended as a technical adjustment to the enactment of the new KUHP, but also as a means of integrating judicial ethical values into binding criminal procedure law norms. This study uses normative legal methods, drawing on statutory, conceptual, and Critical Legal Studies (CLS) approaches. The results show that the 2025 KUHAP has systematically internalized the KEPPH principles into various procedural provisions, ranging from justice, honesty, and wisdom to independence, integrity, responsibility, judicial dignity, discipline, humility, and the professionalism of judges. However, from a CLS perspective, this integration has not fully dismantled the structural power relations in the criminal justice system. Juridified ethical norms still have the potential to be reduced to formal compliance if they are not accompanied by judges’ critical awareness of the structural inequalities inherent in judicial practice. Therefore, the effectiveness of the 2025 Criminal Procedure Code as an instrument for evaluating judicial ethics depends heavily on the transformation of judicial awareness toward substantive justice.

Abstract

Motor vehicle tax compliance remains a critical issue in supporting Regional Original Revenue (PAD), particularly among Generation Z, who are increasingly dominant in the productive population but often exhibit low compliance behavior. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing motor vehicle tax compliance among Generation Z in Kediri Regency, focusing on digital tax services, e-wallet effectiveness, social media exposure, income level, and tax sanctions. This research employs a quantitative approach using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 62 respondents aged 17–26 years who are responsible for paying motor vehicle taxes. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with SmartPLS 4 to evaluate both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results show that tax sanctions have a positive and significant effect on motor vehicle tax compliance, indicating that enforcement plays a dominant role in shaping compliance behavior. E-wallet effectiveness also demonstrates a significant influence, suggesting its role in supporting compliance through indirect mechanisms. In contrast, digital tax services, social media exposure, and income level do not have a significant direct effect on compliance. These findings indicate that technological accessibility alone is insufficient to improve compliance without consistent enforcement of sanctions.

Abstract

This study addresses the persistent difficulty Indonesian secondary students face in grasping abstract molecular geometry concepts, exacerbated by the limited adoption of immersive technologies in local curricula. We developed the AR-MO (Augmented Reality-Based Molecular) instructional model using a six-stage Design Science Research (DSR) approach, spanning from problem identification to the communication of results. The model’s effectiveness was evaluated among 349 students across 15 public high schools in Tangerang using a pre-test/post-test design, with data analyzed through descriptive statistics and category-shift mapping. Results indicate a significant enhancement in cognitive understanding, attitudes, and practical skills, with nine schools completely eliminating "Fair" performance categories in favor of "Good" and "Very Good". User satisfaction and usability scores exceeded 90%, confirming the model's acceptance. The novelty of AR-MO lies in its structured integration of 3D visualization within a constructivist framework tailored for the Indonesian secondary education context

Abstract

The development of modern organizations requires individuals not only to possess professional competence but also to demonstrate ethical behavior in carrying out their professional responsibilities. However, many organizations still face challenges related to inconsistent ethical behavior among professionals, indicating a gap between ethical standards and actual practice; therefore, this study aims to examine the role of self-concept as a determinant of ethical behavior in professional settings. Ethical behavior in organizations is influenced not only by external regulations such as professional codes of conduct but also by internal psychological factors within individuals. One of the most important internal factors is self-concept, which reflects how individuals perceive and understand themselves in relation to their roles and responsibilities in the workplace. This research employs a qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews and documentation to obtain comprehensive insights into individual perceptions and experiences of ethical behavior in professional settings. Purposive sampling is used, and the data are analyzed through thematic analysis. The results indicate that individuals with a clear and positive self-concept tend to demonstrate stronger moral awareness, greater responsibility, and more consistent ethical decision-making, with key themes including self-awareness, moral responsibility, ethical consistency, and organizational support. Furthermore, organizational culture and ethical leadership reinforce the development of self-concept that supports ethical behavior. This study provides empirical insight into the psychological basis of ethical behavior and offers practical implications for strengthening organizational integrity.

Abstract

Marital stability is increasingly influenced by couples’ ability to manage household finances effectively, yet empirical studies linking financial literacy to marital stability remain limited, particularly in developing country contexts. This study aims to analyse the role of family financial literacy as a life skill in strengthening marital stability among married couples in Central Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. The research employs a mixed-methods, sequential, explanatory design integrating quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were collected through a survey of 150 married couples (N = 150) who participated in a family financial literacy education program using a pre–post-test design. Data were analysed using paired-samples t-tests, Pearson's correlation, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine the structural relationship between financial literacy and marital stability. Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews to explore couples’ experiences in managing household finances. The results show a significant increase in financial literacy scores after the educational intervention. Statistical analysis indicates a strong positive relationship between financial literacy and marital stability (r = 0.657, p < 0.01), with financial literacy explaining 43.1% of the variance in marital stability. Qualitative findings reveal that improved financial literacy encourages better financial communication, joint decision-making, and reduced financial conflict within households. This study demonstrates that family financial literacy is a critical life skill that strengthens marital stability by improving financial behaviour and communication between spouses, highlighting the importance of integrating financial literacy into premarital education and family empowerment programs.
