Abstract

An office is a building that is the center of all activities of a company. Offices can be built on a variety of land including unstable land or slopes and cliffs. Development on slopes can be easily disrupted by various things. Office buildings built on slopes require cantilever type retaining walls where cantilever type retaining walls are commonly used in soil conditions such as slopes or cliffs. The purpose of the study was to design a retaining wall and calculate the costs involved in the construction of the retaining wall. The research was conducted on an 8-story office building located on a slope or cliff by planning a cantilever type retaining wall. The cantilever type retaining wall planning method uses AutoCad and Microsoft Excel using the SNI 8460-2017 reference standard. The cantilever type retaining wall designed has dimensions of 6,00 m high and 4,20 meters wide in order to withstand the soil around the office building. The results showed that the safety factor on the slope using the Fellinius method obtained a value of 1,77 by having a retaining wall dimension area of 17,76 m2. The stability obtained in the form of shear stability of 1,51, rolling stability of 2,38 and stability of soil bearing capacity using the Terzaghi equation was found to be 5,64. The total settlement that occurred in the soil amounted to 15,56 mm. The reinforcement required on the retaining wall is D19-200, D19-166 and D19-142 on the vertical wall reinforcement while the reinforcement on the footplateis D19-142.Theresultsof the calculationofthe costbudgetplan whichincludes excavation of soil, wall formwork, reinforcement, ready mix concrete and landfill are estimated for the planning of cantilever type retaining walls amounting to Rp. 2.114.518.361.

Abstract

The Soeman HS Regional Library in Riau Province not only serves as a place for book collections, but also as a center for information and cultural identity. This research uses exploratory methods and qualitative case studies to identify the architectural identity of this library that combines modern and traditional concepts. This building creates the impression of an open book, highlighting its function as a source of knowledge, with a façade that reflects Malay identity and the style of Riau Province. This study highlights the way elements of regional identity is presented in functional buildings and their application to modern buildings. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and literature study. The library's identity as a source of knowledge is emphasized through the form of book-like buildings and folklore reliefs in the outer hallway. As offices, glass facades and formal workspaces reflect modernity and efficiency. Malay culture is reflected through the roof of Rehal Al-Quran and wajik motifs on the façade of the building. The study illustrates how the elements blend harmoniously, creating a place of knowledge that embraces cultural heritage. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of identity in the design of functional buildings that respect local culture.

Abstract

This writing aims to determine the application of the Payroll Accounting Information System carried out at PT Alfa Kreasi (WEEKEND INC), as well as to analyze the implementation of the Internal Control System and provide proposals for the Payroll Accounting System to support the effectiveness and efficiency of the Internal Control System at PT Alfa Kreasi (WEEKEND INC ). The type of data used is qualitative data, data that explains a phenomenon based on things that generally contain words where the data obtained and which will be processed later is in the form of primary data, which is obtained directly through face-to-face interviews with the parties concerned. The analytical tools that the author uses in this research are data flow diagrams (DFD) and document flow charts (flowcharts). From the research that has been carried out, the author concludes that PT Alfa Kreasi (WEEKEND INC) implements a computerized payroll system seen in the recording process carried out on Google Sheets and for all data regarding payroll in the process of paying employee salaries via bank transfer. And the analysis of the company's Internal Control System has also been implemented in accordance with the policies set by the leadership.

Abstract

Efforts can be made to overcome this natural disaster, including providing a drainage system, maintaining forests and monitoring river water levels to determine the possibility of flooding if the level exceeds normal. In this research the author designed a tool to provide warnings before a flood disaster occurs. The design of an automatic water level monitoring system using an ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04) based on Arduino UNO with a computer interface based on Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 was created using HC-SR04 to measure distance, Arduino UNO as the main controller for the entire tool, LED and buzzer. When the HC-SR04 measures the distance by emitting waves from the trigger pin as the trigger and the echo pin as the receiver, the distance will then be processed by the Arduino UNO to calculate how many "cm" distances have been measured. If the distance calculated by the Arduino UNO is < 30 cm then the green LED will light up, if the distance is < 20 cm then the yellow LED will light up and the buzzer will sound slowly. However, if the distance is <10 cm, the red LED and yellow LED will light up alternately and the buzzer will sound loudly. Next, the data will be displayed on the PC interface with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 according to the distance received.

Abstract

This research aims to predict one of the natural disasters in Indonesia, namely Mount Eruption. This natural disaster occurs quite often in Indonesia and results in losses for residents around active volcanoes. Based on this, the research team wants to create a decision tree that can help predict the situation before a volcano erupts, which can later be applied so that residents around active volcanoes and ordinary people can know the signs before a volcanic eruption occurs. This research will use the application of data mining with the c4.5 algorithm method as a tool in creating decision trees.

Abstract

The existence of water is very important for living things. Humans, animals and plants need water to fulfill their daily needs and one of the sources of water can be obtained from rivers. Although Indonesia has many rivers, there are still many rivers that are not maximally utilized due to the lack of public awareness of the importance of river cleanliness. This research aims to find out and recognize the potential of the river by determining the right strategy so that the potential of the river can be known and utilized by the community and the function of the river can return to its original state. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method where researchers conducted observations and interviews with people who live around Karangampel Kidul River. The data analysis applied is SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat). The results of the SWOT analysis of the potential of the Karangampel Kidul River with coordinates (0.5: 0.5) are in Quadrant I with an S-O strategy (aggressive strategy). There are 3 strategies that can be applied, namely optimizing the implementation of government and regional policies regarding the potential and function of rivers, optimizing human resources as supervisors and actors of mutual cooperation and optimizing rivers to irrigate rice fields and the daily needs of the surrounding community.

Graha is a store that sells office supplies, and to expand its marketing, a web-based e-commerce application was developed. The research method used in the design of this website is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The programming languages used are HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and the database is MySQL. Based on tests conducted on various devices, it can be concluded that the Graha Store e-commerce website functions properly. The time required to access the website pages through a browser will vary depending on the internet connection used.

Abstract

Shaft, pillow block, and pulley are one of the components in a ball mill machine. Where these components play a role in transmitting the rotation from the motor to the ball mill drum connected to it. This study aims to see the simulation and analysis on the assembly of shaft parts, pillow blocks, and pulleys which provide realistic force direction, model, and load performance. The shaft, pillow block, and pulley will perform static testing by inputting the load value into the Solidworks software. From the calculation of loading, the force value is 367.89 N, centrifugal force is 70 Rpm, and torque is 122.81 N.m. From the simulation results, the maximum von mises stress that occurs is 15,772.108 N / mm2. And the lowest safety factor that is obtained is 0.009. So that the shaft, pillow block, and pulley can be categorized as safe to use.

Abstract

The lower mounting cylinder is a spare part for the hydraulic scissor lift. Where the lower mounting cylinder acts as the lower hydraulic cylinder holder. Where the lower mounting cylinder is one of the important spare parts of the scissor lift. The purpose of this paper is to understand the manufacturing process, understand the types of materials used in the manufacturing process, understand product functions, and The formula for calculating the spindle acceleration of lathes and milling machines in the lower mounting cylinder manufacturing process. In the lower mounting cylinder manufacturing process, S45C carbon steel is used, including medium quality steel. In the lower mounting cylinder manufacturing process, materials are prepared, material is cut, and turning. first, the milling process, the scrap process, the second turning process, the tap process and quality control. Where is the S45C material preparation, then the first turning uses cylindrical and chamfering, then milling which creates a barrier during the scrap process, then the scrap process which changes the diameter of the workpiece to square, then the drilling process, namely punching holes in the workpiece, then the second turning process, namely boring and chamfering, then the tap process, namely the threading process in the lubricant path and quality control, namely product checking. in the milling process, the spindle speed is 663.481Rpm. Before the lower mounting cylinder is packed, a check will be carried out on the workpiece to find out whether it is feasible and the size is appropriate or not. If the workpiece is deemed fit, it will be packaged for marketing, if not, the workpiece will be destroyed.
