Abstract

Pelumas adalah salah satu elemen yang berpengaruh terhadap kinerja dari suatu motor. Pelumas juga dapat digunakan sebagai media pendingin untuk menyerap panas pada motor. Pada pemilihan pelumas perlu diperhatikan nilai viskositas dari pelumas.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mempertahankan nilai viskositas pelumas pada motor bantu kapal, hal ini dilakukan dengan memberikan tabung penukar kalor yang berguna menyerap kalor dari pelumas. Air laut digunakan sebagai media penyerap kalor dari pelumas, air laut dipilih sebagai media penyerap karena persediyaan air laut tidak terbatas.Dari pengujian didapatkan untuk nilai viskositas kinematik pada mesin bantu kapal yang menggunakan sistem pendingin pelumas sebesar 12.91 cSt dan untuk mesin bantu kapal yang tidak menggunakan sistem pendingin pelumas 13.85 cSt dengan nilai standar dari castrol sebesar 13.5 cSt, sedangkan pada sistem kerja pendingin pelumas diperoleh data berupa banyak kalor rata-rata yang diserap yaitu 25.966 kJ/s sampai 45.944 kJ/s, hasil ini menujukan perpindahan kalor lebih banyak dari pada jumlah perpindahan kalor yang diinginkan yaitu sebesar 35 kJ/s. Pada Aux Engine 1 penambahan sebanayak 30 liter, sedangkan pada Aux Engine 2 penambahan sebesar 60 liter. Kata Kunci : Minyak Pelumas, Sistem Pendingin, Viskositas Pelumas

Abstract

Meat is one of the agricultural commodities needed to meet protein needs, because meat contains high quality protein, which is able to contribute complete essential amino acids. The purpose of this paper is to design, analyze the static strength of the frame based on theoretical calculations and simulations on solidwork 2018 software. This machine consists of a frame, reservoir, grinding shaft, transmission, and electric motor. The results of the design obtained a Meat Grinding Machine with Length: 610 mm, Width: 500 mm and Height: 750 mm. The material used is 2024-O Alloy with a modulus of elasticity of 72,400 N/mm2. The load force obtained is 576.32 N. And the value from the analysis is the displacement value of 0.174 mm and for theoretical calculations, the displacement value is 0.176 mm. So, the value of the percentage error is 1.176%. For the von Mises value of 68,970 MPa, and for calculations based on the theory, the von Mises value is 52,499 MPa. So, the value of the error percentage is 0.238%. And for the value of the safety factor obtained a value of 1,087, and for calculations based on the theory, the value of the safety factor is 1.428. So, the value of the error percentage is 0.313%.

Abstract

This battery-based lawn mower is a simple tool to cut grass efficiently and quickly without having to use gasoline and also without the need for an electric plug adapter to move the mower. The purpose of this paper is to be able to design a lawn mower, to know what components are used in the work process and also to know the working process of making a lawn mower. The main power source of this tool is from a series of 21 18650 series batteries with a capacity of 46 A which are connected in parallel and in series and combined with the BMS 3s module for protection and control of the system. With a large enough battery capacity, this tool is able to operate for approximately 45-60 minutes of use.

Abstract

Fixtrut merupakan sebuah pipa schedule dengan material mild steel yang diberi pengerjaan cutting, punching, stamping, serta pelapisan logam dengan metode hot dip galvanized. Fixtrut berfungsi untuk menstabilkan antena komunikasi yang telah terpasang pada tower telekomunikasi. Pada penulisan ilmiah ini membahas proses produksi fixtrut dan pelapisan logam hot dip galvanized di PT. RJU. Pada proses produksi fixtrut ini menggunakan metode jenis pabrikasi logam, artinya proses yang dilakukan dengan merubah bentuk di benda kerja. Perubahan bentuk ini dapat dilakukan dengan cara memberikan gaya luar sehingga terjadi deformasi plastis. Metode proses produksi fixtrut di PT.RJU melalui 6 tahapan, yaitu pemilihan material, cutting dengan mesin gerinda, stamping, punching, pembuatan ventilasi, serta pelapisan hot dip galvanized. Pada proses hot dip galvanized ada 5 tahapan yang harus dilalui, yaitu pickling merupakan pencelupan dengan asam klorida, lalu rinsing merupakan pembilasan dengan air bersih, fluxing merupakan pencelupan dengan larutan flux, molten zinc bath merupakan proses galvanisasi dengan temperatur 440 ºC – 460 ºC, dan terakhir quenching merupakan proses pendinginan dengan larutan chromat.

Abstract

Fundamental, detailed and in-depth understanding of technology is carried out through the use of concrete pumps used to move fluid from one place to a higher place, high pressure and circulation. One of the important components of the pumping system in the industry is the Gearbox Bearing Housing which functions as a bearing housing so that the bearing can move and continue the shaft work system on the pump. The material used to make the Gearbox Bearing Housing is based on FCD 400. The manufacturing process for the Gearbox Bearing Housing is a lathe where in this process the workpiece is fed by rotating the workpiece and then touching it to a chisel which is moved in translation parallel to the axis of rotation. of the workpiece. The outer diameter is 700 mm, while the inner diameter is 340 mm and D2 is 440 mm. Drilling Machine Process, the machining process is the process of expanding or enlarging a hole that can be done with a drill bar. For the size of the holes, namely the diameter of 22 mm as many as 16 holes, the diameter of 20 mm as many as 16 holes and for the diameter of 12 mm there are 4 holes. Grinding Machine Process is a finishing process that is used to remove parts of the workpiece that are uneven. In the manufacture of Gearbox Bearing Housing, checks are carried out on the workpiece to determine whether or not an item is produced. If the workpiece is said to be feasible, it will be packaged to be marketed, if not, the workpiece will be destroyed.

Abstract

Garbage is a problem of concern worldwide. Public awareness in disposing of waste that is not in its place causes various kinds of problems, one of the problems that occurs is in rivers or artificial canals. This is what makes many people create tools to make it easier to control improper waste disposal. One of the tools that was created was a garbage collector, in making the design of a garbage collection machine using solidworks software, Galvanized Steel material was used with a rod size of 30 x 30 x 2.6 (mm) as the frame. With a frame size of 1320 mm in length, 790 mm in width and 1133 mm in height. The results of the simulation using solidworks software on the frame of the garbage collection machine are to get the von misses stress value with a maximum stress value (MPa) and a minimum stress value of (MPa), for the displacement value with a maximum stress value of 0.61 mm and for a minimum stress value of 0.00 mm, the safety factor gets a value of 3.55 ul. In the comparison of solidworks and theoretical software values, the value for von misses stress is 0.04%, for displacement is 0.24%, and for safety factor is 0.20%.

Abstract

In this modern era, the industrial world continues to experience rapid development, especially in the manufacturing process, particularly in machining processes. The production process is a way, method, and technique for creating, processing, or adding value to a product or service using available resources such as labor, machinery, materials, and funds. The purpose of this writing is to understand the production process for making Horz Cam Masema AW6035- SR using VCN 150 material. It also involves simulating static tests using Solidworks software to analyze von misses, displacement, and fatigue values. This writing is based on field studies and literature reviews conducted by the author. The simulation results conducted with a torque loading of 16.67 Nm obtained a maximum von misses value of 228,788,416 N/m2 and a displacement value of 0.222 mm. Therefore, the obtained fatigue values include the highest damage percentage of 0.488 and a minimum total life of 204,845 times.

Abstract

Welding Shield Metal Arc Welding is a process of joining two metals by utilizing heat from jumping electrodes at two different poles. In this welding technique, the connecting material or metal material (electrode) is metal that has been coated with flux (welding slag). This study aims to determine whether current variations affect the impact strength in the SMAW welding process. In this study, welding was carried out on the ST 41 material using the E 6013 electrode with electric current variants on the SMAW welding machine, namely: 60 A and 85 A, followed by the Charphy impact test used to determine the strength of the ST 41 steel connection. The results obtained with the ST41 200A material were 0.566 J/mm2 and for the ST41 210A material, it was obtained 1.662 J/mm2. With research showing that the greater the amperage, the greater the effort required in the Charphy impact test and the greater the amperage, the greater the value of the Charphy impact test.

Abstract

Coffee is a commodity that is currently developing. However, many coffee farmers in remote areas experience problems in increasing their business along with high market demand due to a lack of business support tools. The purpose of this paper is to find out the materials used in designing a wet coffee bean peeler machine. Design the frame of a wet coffee bean peeler machine using Solidwork software. Wet coffee bean peeler analysis. The type of iron to be used in the frame of this wet coffee bean peeler is galvanized angle iron with a size of 22 x 22 x 1.8 mm. The results obtained show that the von misses stress calculated using solidworks has the greatest stress of 69,654 Mpa. For von misses stress by manual calculation, a value of 71.707Mpa is obtained. The results obtained show that the displacement calculated using solidworks has the greatest stress of 0.293 mm. For displacement with manual calculations, a value of 0.163 mm is obtained. The results obtained show that the Factor of Safety value calculated using Solidworks has the greatest stress of 2,928 ul. For the Factor of Safety with manual calculations, a value of 2,830 ul was obtained.

Abstract

An airfoil is a geometric shape that can provide a big lift force and a small resistance force when going through a fluid flow. Airfoil analysis is particularly significant for determining the lift force, drag force, temperature changes, and air pressure distribution that occurs especially in an airplane. In this research, a NACA 2412 series airfoil model was examined using two methods. The initial experiment involved direct study using 3D printing modeling findings, which were evaluated in a wind tunnel. The second test was computerized using Solidworks software. The objective of this study is to compare the results of experiments (experimental) with models of the influence of variations in air speed on the pressure distribution that occurs on the NACA 2412 airfoil. The results of the analysis of wind tunnel tests are changes in the maximum air pressure distribution that occurs, specifically at a speed variation of 5 m /s = 101344.62 Pa, 10 m/s = 101418.195 Pa, 15 m/s = 101560.44 Pa, and 20 m/s = 101737.02 Pa. According to the findings of this study, the higher the wind or air speed, the greater the pressure distribution.
