Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the Twitter information system on business students. A qualitative descriptive method is employed to characterize this occurrence using a survey in the form of a Google form-distributed questionnaire. A simple random sample of 30 questionnaires was delivered to 30 respondents as part of the sampling process. Perceptions of benefits and perceptions of convenience are used to identify application users and Twitter social media users among students. The current data is then evaluated more thoroughly in order to draw conclusions. The results indicate that the perception of benefits indicates that 90.7% of students agree that the Twitter information system helps to attract business, while the perception of convenience indicates that 85% of students find it easier to locate information that is being discussed, particularly business-related information. Students conducting business in the city of Tasikmalaya are impacted in their use of the Twitter information system by two perceptions: advantages and convenience.

Abstract

Jakarta Kota Tua's (old town) Area is a historical area that located in Capital City of Indonesia, namely Jakarta which continues to degrade in both physical and nonphysical ways, resulting in an unfavorable image and an unappealing location, one of which is the lack of pedestrian facilities in the Kota Tua area, not to mention the fact that during the holidays, pedestrians are jammed with street vendors, making it impossible for pedestrians to walk in the area around the Old Town Area. Furthermore, there are still neglected facilities such as trash cans and bus stations where passengers can wait for buses that are not fit for their intended purpose. This research aims to find out the walkibility based on existing condition in the Jakarta Kota Tua area. The analytical method that uses in this research is descriptive analysis based on pedestrian path characteristic walkability index analysis. According to the calculation results, 1st zone is included in the waiting to walk category with a walkscore value of 56.3 and there are segments that have the lowest scores, namely segments 12 A and 12 B. Meanwhile, 2nd zone is included in the category of walk on your own risk because it has a walks score of 48,31 which is below the score of 1st zone or in other words it is necessary to improve in terms of quality and quantity as well as control for side barriers which aim to ensure that visitors or pedestrians are not disturbed and feel comfortable during their activities.

Abstract

PT. Benteng Api Technic is a leading refractory company in Indonesia with refractory bricks as one of its superior products. The process of making refractory bricks that will be observed in this study is the process of mixing materials and the molding process. In the mixing process, there are no tools in the form of time indicators to help operators make decisions about the mixing time of ingredients. This research aims to obtain the time for the mixing of materials with maximum mixing quality and to support the press process optimally. The research was conducted using a perfectly randomized experimental design in order to obtain different mixing results based on the nine selected mixing time treatments. Measurement of working time is carried out using the stopwatch time study method on press operators who are experienced in their fields. Calculations to align the two processes using a Gantt chart with idle time as an indicator. The experimental results revealed that the most optimal mixing with a mixing time of 12 minutes resulted in 7.2 kilograms of mass that did not pass through an 18 mesh sieve. Based on the results of the gantt chart, the use of 11 mixing time for material B resulted in the lowest idle time of 178 minutes. The processing time obtained is expected to be used as a guide in determining the time input on the time indicator tool in the process of mixing refractory bricks.

Abstract

CV. XYZ is a bakery production company which also contributes as a part of culinary industry. During producing, CV. XYZ faces problem regarding the high percentage of its defective products which namely blueberry blankon bread, banana chocolate bread, and coffee bread. This research aims to find out the value of DPMO and determining the value of Sigma for product quality by using Six Sigma method. Six sigma method was used since its able to control the number of defective products, find out the product defects by using Sigma value, improve product defects, and provide recommendations for improving the quality of product by using FMEA method on those three products. The result shows that DPMO value for Coffee Bread is 17,757 along with sigma value of 3,61. The DPMO value for blueberry blankon bread is 18,048 with sigma value of 3.60. Lastly, the DPMO value of chocolate banana bread is 17.644 with sigma value of 3.61. Thus, it is necessary to analyze the causes of quality defects and recommend solutions in order to improve the quality of products. Defects on product/s are caused by four factors which particularly human, material, method and machine. Hence, there are three ideas of proposed improvement on defect products based on FMEA.

Abstract

One of the efforts in improving the quality of human resources is to measure the performance of a teacher through a teacher selection. One of the information systems needed is a decision support system for selecting the best teacher. This is needed because the Principal and the Curriculum Section in the process of assessing teacher performance and determining the results of the best teacher selection decisions still use manual methods and do not have a decision support system and there is no appropriate method in selecting the best teachers. This research aims to create a decision support system with the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, and create a MySQL database to store all data. The selection of the best teacher is determined by summing up the results of the assessment of existing criteria with predetermined weight. The results will be ranked according to the calculations in the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. By applying the basic additive weighting method, design systems support principals and the curriculum department in identifying the most effective teachers based on measurable, objective performance indicators.
