The majority of respondents with less knowledge based on junior high school education were 15 respondents (50%), the majority of respondents with less knowledge of the work of IRT were 11 respondents (36.67%), the majority of respondents with less knowledge based on parity grandepara 9 respondents (30%), the majority of respondents with less knowledge obtained sources of information from electronic media were 10 respondents (33.33%). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the majority of the knowledge of mothers who have babies about the impact of formula feeding is still lacking, so it is hoped that mothers who have babies will follow the counseling so that the mother's knowledge of the impact of formula feeding increases.

Abstract

Breast milk (ASI) is the first and best food that must be given to babies because it contains nutrients that are needed in the process of growth and development of children's intelligence. Increasing breast milk production can be done in two ways, namely pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. One action that can be done to help the release of breast milk is through oxytocin massage which can be done by massaging the area around the back (pars thoratica vertebrae) to stimulate the release of milk. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of oxytocin footing on breast milk expenditure in postpartum mothers in Batam City in 2023. The type of research used is quasi-experiment with pretest research design and posttest one group design. The data analysis used was Paired t-test and this study was conducted for 5 days. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling with 17 respondents. The results of this study based on statistical tests obtained P value = 0.0001 with a difference of 3.06%, which means that it can be a significant difference before and after soy milk consumption. Conclusion: there is a significant influence between oxytocin footing on breast milk production in postpartum mothers in the working area of Batu Aji Health Center Batam City. Researchers hope that postpartum mothers can do oxytocin steps to increase milk production

Abstract

Globally, the prevalence of iron deficiency remains a significant concern among pregnant women, with an estimated 43.9% affected. The estimated prevalence of iron deficiency in pregnant women is 49.4% in Asia, 59.1% in Africa, 28.1% in the Americas, and 26.1% in Europe. The prevalence of substance deficiency in pregnant women in Indonesia remains relatively high, and deficiency plays a role in contributing to the high maternal and infant mortality rates observed in the country (Paridah, 2022). According to the Health Office profile (2020), the TTD coverage in pregnant women in North Sumatra Province in 2019 was 92.49%, representing a decline from the 2018 figure of 94.30%. The provincial coverage remains below the performance indicator and target for nutrition improvement activities in 2019, which is 95%. Furthermore, there was a reduction in the provision of TTD in four districts/cities. In Kisaran City, for instance, the coverage rate decreased from 93.30% in 2018 to 92.93% in 2019. This study employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, with the aim of elucidating the phenomenon of implementing the Fe tablet program at the Nasywa Clinic in Kisaran in 2022. The study at Nasywa Clinic in Kisaran involved 50 pregnant women. It evaluated the Fe tablet supplementation program in 2022, revealing that health workers' collaboration in procuring and planning Fe tablets, along with midwives' distribution efforts, were crucial. However, the program's coverage did not meet targets, and pregnant women's compliance in taking Fe tablets was less than optimal.

Abstract

Central obesity is excess fat accumulation in abdominal area. Prevalence of central obesity in Gorontalo Province has exceeded the national prevalence (36.6%) based on results of Basic Health Research in 2018. Adolescents of reproductive age are one of the risk groups for central obesity due to an imbalance in food consumption intake and energy use. This study aims to analyze central obesity incidence in students of Public Health Department, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo based on fiber intake. This type of research is an analytic survey with a cross-sectional study design. Instruments used include 3x24 hour food recall and nutrisurvey to measure fiber intake and a measuring tape to measure waist circumference. Research sample was 120 people obtained using simple random sampling technique. Data analysis technique uses a simple logical regression test. The results showed that all respondents had less fiber intake (100.0%), and at most did not have central obesity (85.0%). There is an effect of fiber intake on the incidence of central obesity (p=0.003; OR=0.854). It is recommended for students to manage their diet by choosing the right ingredients, increasing consumption of vegetables and fruits by 1 to 3 servings per day and always doing sports and physical activity regularly.

Abstract

Breast milk is a complex biological fluid which contains all the nutrients that are useful for the physical growth and development of infants in meeting the needs of foster care (physics-biomedical), compassion (needs for affection/emotions, and sharpening (the need for stimulation). Exclusive breastfeeding is the provision of breast milk to babies from birth to 6 months of age without the addition of other food/drinks. The research method uses observational analytic research methods. Analytical research is research that tries to explore how and why health phenomena occur, then analyzes the dynamics of the correlation between phenomena, namely risk factors and effect factors with a cross-sectional approach by examining the effect of breastfeeding. The results of this study are by using Chi-Square p-value = 0.017 there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and emotional development in toddlers. Conclusion There is a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and emotional development in toddlers with a p-value of 0.017. The proportion of normal emotional development in toddlers is 62.5% while those that are not normal are 37.5%

Abstract

The early initiation of breastfeeding is one of the factors affecting uterine involution. This is due to the stimulation and release of hormones, including oxytocin, which functions to stimulate the contraction of breast smooth muscles and also causes the contraction and retraction of uterine muscles. This will result in the compression of the blood vessels, thereby reducing the blood supply to the uterus. The objective of this study is to ascertain the relationship between early breastfeeding initiation and uterine involution in postpartum mothers. The study was conducted at Ninda Clinic on 26 postpartum mothers, of whom 13 had undergone IMD and 13 had not undergone IMD. The data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results of this study demonstrated that 12 respondents (46.2%) exhibited normal TFU, while 14 respondents (53.8%) demonstrated abnormal TFU. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between early breastfeeding initiation (IMD) and involution in postpartum mothers, with a value of p=0.018 (0.018 <0.05). It is recommended that health workers, particularly midwives, provide health education about IMD in the postpartum period.
