Abstract

Medicinal plants are all species of medicinal plants that are known and believed to have efficacy as traditional medicine, then they can be used as self-medication. Amban Village is one of the villages located in Kab. Manokwari, West Papua. The majority of the villagers have large yards and gardens because the villagers are generally farmers. There are unidentified plants which has role as traditional medicine. This causes the population become very dependent on chemical drugs even for treat minor ailments. In addition, these plants are considered weeds and must be destroyed, either by spraying herbicides or by clearing them. This will certainly disrupt the ecosystem and plant diversity in this environment. The condition of ignorance of Amban village community is the reason for this community activity. The purpose of this activity is to optimize the role of plants that around as an effort to self-medicate and to support the "back to nature" community interest. The method used in this activity is to use socialization for the participants consisting of several villagers. The results of the service showed that there was an increase in villagers’ knowledge who were present at the service activity about the use of surrounding plants as herbal medicine. This can be seen from the ability of the participants to answer questions from the activist.

Abstract

Introduction. Postpartum gymnastic are motion exercise that are performed as soon as possible after giving birth, so that the muscles that experience stretching during pregnancy and childbirth can return to normal conditions as before. This study aimed to analyzed demographic factors and knowledge level with the implementation of postpartum gymnastic in normal postpartum mother. Method. This research design used cross sectional method. The sampling method used purposive sampling with criteria: normal postpartum mother with age 18-45 years old. Samples were taken in Sidokumpul Bungah Gresik village with 30 respondents for two months from population of 32 respondents. The independent variables were demographic factors (information resource, employment, education level, and parity) and knowledge level. The dependent variable was the implementation of postpartum gymnastic. The instruments used were questionnaires and implementation of postpartum gymnastic check list. The research data were analyzed using Regression Linier. Result & Analysis. The results of the Linear Regression statistical test showed that demographic factors (sources of information, employment, and education) and the level of knowledge affect the implementation of postpartum gymnastic in normal postpartum mothers. The correlation number for the level of knowledge is the greatest (r = 0.785) so that it has the strongest level of influence of the relationship with the implementation of postpartum gymnastic. The relationship between the two variables is unidirectional, so it means that the level of knowledge is increased then the implementation of postpartum gymnastic will increase. Discussion. This research is expected to be able to make information on nurse intervention increase patient knowledge in the implementation of postpartum gymnastic so as to help accelerate recovery of postpartum mothers.

Characteristics of male 10 respondents (33%), female 20 respondents (67%). The result is 0.035 < 0.05, then there is an influence between SPO on the time of completeness of medical record documents. The result is 0.975 > 0.05, therefore there is no influence between the health workers competence on completing time medical record documents at RSU Assalam Gemolong. The conclusion of this research is that there is an influence between SPO on completing time of medical record documents and there is no effect of the health workers competence on completing time of medical record documents.

Abstract

Introduction. Diabetes mellitus (DM) has become a health problem in the world, and if not treated, many of the body's systems can be damaged, especially the nerves and blood vessels. This research aims to explain the influence of walking and drinking water hydrotherapy to decrease random blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Method. This research designed in this study was Quasi-Experimental, with the Control Group Pre-Post Test Design. The sampling method used purposive sampling. The sample of this research were 32 respondents in Sumbergede Village. The independent variable was walking therapy and drinking water hydrotherapy, while the dependent variable was random blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The instruments used walking SOP, hydrotherapy SOP and glucose meter. The data analysis technique used Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Result and Analysis. This study random blood sugar level in the treatment and control groups before intervention was hyperglycemia category and after intervention in the treatment group was mostly euglycemia while in the control group the majority hyperglycemia. The results of the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test were ρ = 0.001 (ρ <0.05), meaning that there is a significant influence of a combination of walking therapy and hydrotherapy against random blood sugar reduction in patients with type 2 diabetes. The results of the Mann Whitney statistical test showed that the value of ρ = 0.001 (ρ <0.05), so that there was a significant difference in decreasing random blood sugar levels between the treatment group and the control group. Discussion. Walking therapy can increase blood glucose usage in active muscles. While drinking water hydrotherapy causes the breakdown of blood glucose, the combination of walking therapy and drinking water hydrotherapy can cause random blood sugar level to decrease. This study was expected to make one of the anti-diabetes medication companion therapies in reducing random blood sugar level in patients with type 2 DM.
