Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country where 40% of the population's livelihood is farming. Agrarian potential in Indonesia is very high because of the fertile soil. The fertile agricultural land in Indonesia is due to the country's location in an area with a tropical climate and Indonesia has many mountains. Most farmers in Indonesia still carry out the harvesting process manually, especially when threshing rice seeds from the stalks. The rice harvesting process that still uses manual methods can cause problems for farmers and also result in relatively low productivity. The process of harvesting rice using a sickle is still widely carried out because rice harvesting machines have not yet been created suitable for existing agricultural land in Indonesia, where agricultural land in Indonesia is generally narrow with undulating topographic conditions. This research aims to compare methods for developing rice harvesting machines. The method used in this research is to compare the Kansei Engineering, Quality Function Deployment, and Value Engineering methods. The results of this research indicate that the Kansei Engineering method is a suitable method for developing rice harvesting machines because the Kansei engineering method uses emotional feelings in the product development process. The Kansei engineering method can increase the level of satisfaction and interest of consumers because products are designed using the Kansei engineering method.

Abstract

Tofu Experimental Design Using the TAGUCHI Method Approach at the JB Tofu FactoryAbstractHome industry Tahu JB is a small and medium enterprise (UKM) which operates in the food production sector. An emphasis on quality, efficiency, and technology is critical to maintaining a competitive advantage. The JB Tofu Factory in Jombang is facing production challenges which result in imperfect tofu, which poses a risk to the sustainability of its business. This research aims to optimize the tofu production process in Tahu JB Jombang using the Taguchi approach. The main problem addressed is the occurrence of defective products that threaten business continuity. Taguchi's method, which uses tools such as SNR, Orthogonal Arrays (especially L8( 23 )), ANOVA, and F tests, has proven effective inidentifying key factors such as soybean soaking time, soybean grinding,and starch deposition time. know that it affects product quality. With 3 factors 2 levels, the research results show that soybean milling makes a significant contribution to tofu texture, with a contribution of 37.13% to SNR and 51.61% to average product quality. The results of this research are the soaking time for soybeans level 2 (4 hours), grinding level 1 (1x), sedimentation of tofu essence level 1 (20 minutes) and it is hoped that this can improve the quality of tofu products and operational efficiency at the JB Tofu factory as a whole.

Abstract

Gema Frozen is a company that sells and distributes frozen food products such as sausages, nuggets, corned beef and many other products. Every month, sales of Gema Frozen frozen food products continue to experience a significant increase in the market. This phenomenon causes the company to face demand overload caused by the increase in sales, to anticipate the occurrence of overload, forecasting is needed. By using Lee's fuzzy time series method, the purpose of this study is to analyze product sales forecasting and sales forecasting accuracy. This method is derived from time series analysis that utilizes fuzzy logic and uses fuzzy sets as the basis for its calculations. The results of forecasting analysis using this method resulted in an average difference between sales data and forecasting data of 3.65. This method's forecasting accuracy level is calculated, and the result is an MAE of 55.856. The MSE is 6029.641. -9.97% MPE and 33.78% MAPE values. The Lee approach performs well in predicting, according to the computation of forecasting accuracy.

Abstract

PT CJ Feed and Care Indonesia (Jombang Factory) is a company operating in the animal feed industry. Improper production planning causes problems in managing raw materials, and often the stock of raw materials for production is overstocked, resulting in warehouse rental costs. In the period January 2024 to April 2024, 30,545 tons of raw materials were recorded in the rental warehouse, and storage rental costs amounted to 675 million. The purpose of this research is to determine the production volume of XYZ Broiler products based on past sales estimates. And to plan raw material supplies for the production of XYZ Broiler products using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method with the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) technique. Based on sales data, the Decomposition method is the best forecasting method because it has the lowest MAPE, MAD and MSD values. Therefore, we can conclude that sales for the last 4 months, namely January to April 2024, were 4,498, 4,303, 5,582 and 3,884 tons. The final process for obtaining data on raw material requirements is creating an MRP report using the EOQ technique. With this MRP method, the company can provide raw materials according to sales demand so that it does not need to rent an external warehouse to store excess raw materials and can save 675 million from the cost of renting an external warehouse for 4 months and Rp. 381,812,500,000 from the cost of purchasing Soya Bean M eal (SBM) materials. overstock.

Abstract

Gema Frozen is a company engaged in the distributor of frozen food products. The problems that occur at Gema Frozen are the ineffective distribution process and the lack of attention to layout in the company, especially in the flow of goods storage. This study aims to create a structured layout that increases the effectiveness of material handling and optimization of material transfer distances based on ALDEP (Automated layout Design Program) in order to create good and comfortable conditions in the company environment. Obtained the value of the results of the calculation of ARC and TCR in the office of 3, loading in by 7, incoming goods by 8, cool storage by 12, Transit Area 11, outcoming goods 7, loading out 6, Terrace 0. The highest value of TCR is in cold storage which reaches 12, this ranking indicates that the high level of need for cool storage. After analyzing the redesign with the ALDEP method, the total distance obtained is 43.1 with several changes in each department, namely loading in and loading out which were originally side by side are now separated to be more efficient, the office is brought closer to between incoming goods, outcoming goods and cool storage Therefore, there is a distance savings in the distribution process flow of 6.68%.
