Abstract

Background: Predisposing factors in the occurrence of emesis gravidarum are psychosocial factors. During pregnancy, attention from family members is needed by the mother, especially the attention of the husband. Small things that husbands do have significant meaning in improving psychological health in a better direction. Purpose of Writing: To obtain in-depth information about the husband's knowledge and attitudes in dealing with a wife who has nausea and vomiting in the first trimester at PMB D. Research Methods: This study used a qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews (depth interviews) and FGD (Focus Group Discussion), namely to obtain in-depth information about the knowledge and attitudes of husbands in dealing with wives who have nausea and vomiting in the first trimester, so that it is possible to obtain implicit information (insight). Research Results: Knowledge of husbands in dealing with wives who have nausea and vomiting in the first trimester shows that there are still many informants who have poor knowledge about the causes, symptoms and complications of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. The husband's attitude in dealing with his wife who had nausea and vomiting in the first trimester showed that most of the informants had a positive attitude as shown by paying attention, namely buying food such as fruit to relieve nausea, encouraging mothers to avoid spicy/sour foods, always accompanying mothers to check their pregnancy and being more understanding of what pregnant women feel. Conclusions and Suggestions: The results of this study are expected to provide health education about nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, especially husbands who are involved in the counseling process and outreach events for pregnant women classes.

Abstract

Background: Labor pain is a subjective experience of physical sensations associated with uterine contractions, cervical dilatation and effacement, and fetal descent during labour. Labor pains begin during the first incubation period and continue into the active phase. Labor pain can be controlled by non-pharmacological methods, rebozo techniques and massage counters. Research Objectives: To determine the effectiveness of the rebozo technique and counter massage technique for active phase 1 labor pain at PMB BD Itoh in 2023 Research Methods: This type of research used quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental) with the Pre and Posttest Two Group design approach and the samples in this study were 30 mothers who gave birth who met the inclusion criteria and were divided into 15 people as the intervention group and 15 people as the control group with total sampling technique and bivariate analysis using the Dependent T test. Research Results: From the results of the dependent t test that there is a difference with the p value (0.000 <0.05). This concluded that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, so that it can be concluded that statistically the respondents had differences in the intensity of pain in labor before and after the rebozo technique at PMB BD Itoh in 2023. From the results of the dependent t test that there is a difference with the p value (0.001 <0.05). This concludes that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so that it can be concluded that statistically there are differences in the intensity of pain in labor before and after the breathing relaxation technique at PMB BD Itoh in 2023. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the mean in the intervention group, namely the Rebozo technique, is more effective than the mean in the control group in reducing the scale of labor pain at PMB BD Itoh in 2023.

Abstract

Cerebral Palsy is the most common neurological disorder in children that affects movement and posture due to damage to the brain which controls motor skills, causing balance problems when sitting and standing. This balance is affected by the strength of the erector spine and abdominal muscles that straighten and control the trunk. If low trunk muscle tone causes problems with balance and mobility so that the child has difficulty sitting, playing in a sitting position, functional hand movements such as eating and activities of daily living. This research is an experiment with a pre test – post one group design which aims to analyze the effectiveness of bobath and pilates therapy on sitting and standing balance in children with cerebral palsy. A total of 17 children with cerebral palsy were given bobath and pilates therapy for 16 weeks, with a dose of: 1 time/day, 3 times a week with a treatment time of 45 minutes for each child. The research subjects were children with cerebral palsy with the following criteria: 1-year old, unbalanced sitting and standing. It will be carried out from February to June 2023. Sitting balance is measured with a sitting level scale and standing balance with a pediatric balance scale. The research subjects consisted of 13 men (76.47%) and 4 women (23.53%) with the GMFCS categories being III and IV. The average age of research subjects: 36.5758 ± 15.02504. The results of statistical tests with Wilcoxon obtained a value of p = 0.001 at the sitting level of the scale and p = 0.002 on the pediatric balance scale. Conclusion: Bobath and pilates therapy are effective in increasing the value of the sitting level of the scale and the pediatric balance scale in children with cerebral palsy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the relationship between vegetable and fruit consumption andnutritional status among school-age children in Regiao Administrativa Espesial Oe-CusseAmbeno Timor Leste, and to identify factors associated with children's nutritional status. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were collectedthrough a questionnaire that measured the frequency of vegetable and fruit consumption, and measurement of nutritional status using anthropometric indicators. The studypopulation was school-age children in Regiao Administrativa Especial Oe-Cusse AmbenoTimor Leste with the sampling technique used was simple random sampling. Fruitconsumption patterns showed that 45.4% (79 respondents) of children rarely consumedfruit (<3 times per week). Most children were malnourished, with 69.5% (121respondents) experiencing wasting. Another factor was preference for vegetables andfruits. These two factors showed a strong and significant association (r = 0.728 forvegetables, r = 0.725 for fruits, p = 0.000), indicating that children who had a highpreference for vegetables and fruits were more likely to have better nutritional status.Child age was also found to have a significant but weak association (r = 0.278, p = 0.000)with nutritional status, suggesting that although influential, child age is not the mainfactor in determining nutritional status. Preference for vegetables and fruits had asignificant relationship with children's nutritional status. Age also has an effect, althoughit is weaker. No significant relationship was found between nutritional status and parentaleducation, meal timing, and media exposure. The implication is that there is a need toincrease vegetable and fruit consumption through nutrition education programmes inschools and communities, and the development of healthy eating habits.
