Abstract

impacts if not properly managed. Adolescent anger is triggered by various factors such as frustration, provocation, and misunderstandings, and if uncontrolled, it can lead to aggressive behavior. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an effective therapeutic approach to help adolescents manage their anger. CBT focuses on the interaction between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, aiming to identify and change negative thought patterns that lead to anger. Through CBT, adolescents are taught emotional regulation and social problem-solving skills, enabling them to respond to challenging situations more assertively. Research shows that applying CBT to adolescents effectively reduces aggressive behaviors and enhances anger control. Thus, CBT is proven to be an effective method in helping adolescents overcome anger issues and develop more positive behavior.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development strategy and arrangement of slum areas in Pekanbaru City. The problem of slums in this city is increasingly urgent due to rapid population growth and uncontrolled urbanization. The research method includes a qualitative approach with a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis technique to identify internal and external factors that affect the arrangement of slum areas. This research uses the development strategies theory of Richard Rumelt. The results show that effective strategies include empowering the community and strengthening the role of Government, optimizing land use, and improving access to basic infrastructure. It is expected that with these strategies, the quality of life of people in slum areas can improve and create a habitable, sustainable, and integrated settlement environment with overall city planning. This research provides policy recommendations relevant to the local Government to overcome the problems of slum areas in Pekanbaru, emphasizing the importance of community involvement.

Abstract

Egg sugarcane (Saccharum edule) is a vegetable plant that is widely found in Indonesia, especially in Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan. This plant resembles sugar cane with bulging shoots and yellowish-white strands like fish eggs. Its use has been limited as a processed vegetable ingredient. To increase economic value and extend its shelf life, processed innovations in the form of egg sugarcane crackers are carried out. This study aims to determine the chemical properties, fertility, and preferences of the panelists for egg sugarcane crackers with variations of wheat flour and tapioca flour. The observed parameters included moisture content, ash, protein, fat, crude fiber, carbohydrates, fertility, and hedonic organoleptic test. The results of the study showed that the chemical properties of egg cane crackers varied. The highest moisture content values were in A2 treatment (9.26% wb; 8.79% db), the highest ash content in A2 (3.35% wb; 3.64% db), the highest fat content in A2 (2.10%), the highest protein content in A1 (8.46%), the highest crude fiber in A3 (6.70%), and the highest carbohydrate in A3 (73.72%). The best flowering power was found in the A1 treatment (76.84%). The panelists' preference for color was highest at A3 (5.77), aroma at A2 (5.40), taste at A3 (5.87), and texture at A3 (5.67). These results show that the variation of wheat flour and tapioca affects the chemical quality, floweriness, and preference of panelists for egg cane crackers, making it an innovative product with potential economic added value.

Abstract

The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, reopened the export of lobster seeds (BBL) in March 2024 after previously being halted in 2021. This policy aims to improve the welfare of fishermen and contribute to national revenue. However, challenges such as the smuggling of BBL, both through legal and illegal channels, remain a significant issue. Therefore, cooperation between the government, traditional fishermen, aquaculture companies, and Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) is needed to address the challenges of illegal trade and law enforcement, as well as to create an efficient and sustainable system. This research aims to analyze the challenges in combating illegal trade and enforcing laws, as well as the oversight policies and sanctions related to the reopening of BBL exports in Indonesia. The research method used is a mixed approach, involving literature reviews and interviews. The findings show that the reopening of the lobster seed export policy under Regulation No. 7 of 2024 has led to an increase in BBL smuggling. Strong cooperation is expected to effectively address these challenges, ensuring that the goals of the export policy are achieved without harming any stakeholders.

Abstract

The Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM) in the mining sector is a legal obligation imposed on companies to contribute to local community welfare. This obligation is part of the broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) framework, regulated by various laws in Indonesia, such as Law No. 3 of 2020 on Mineral and Coal Mining and Ministerial Regulation of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 1824 K/30/MEM/2018. Despite clear regulations, the effective implementation of PPM remains a challenge, especially regarding law enforcement and community involvement. This study aims to explore and analyze the legal aspects of the implementation of PPM in the mining sector, focusing on how well companies comply with the existing legal framework and what challenges they face in fulfilling their social obligations. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, analyzing legal texts, academic articles, and regulatory documents related to PPM. The study focuses on understanding the regulatory environment and its application by mining companies. The findings reveal that although the legal provisions governing PPM are comprehensive, there are significant gaps in the monitoring and enforcement of these regulations. Many companies struggle with compliance, and the impact on community development is often limited due to inadequate oversight and community engagement. The study concludes that for the PPM program to be more effective, improvements in legal oversight and the enforcement mechanism are necessary. Additionally, greater efforts are needed to ensure that the PPM benefits are more closely aligned with community needs and that companies are held accountable for their social responsibilities.
