Abstract

Unconventional tin mining in Parit Tiga Village, Toboali District, South Bangka Regency is one of the mining sites that is rampantly carried out by the community. The problems that arise from the activities carried out by the community indicate that tin minerals in that location still have the potential to be mined at the conventional mining scale, this condition makes researchers want to study how much potential Sn levels are still contained even though the location is in the form of tailings. Data collection was 16 points at the first tailings location with an area of 160.000 m2 and 15 points at the second tailings location with an area of 150.000 m2. The samples were taken regularly with a distance between samples of 100 meters with a depth of 1,5 meters. Tailings samples were then tested using a microscope overview analysis method to obtain cassiterite levels. The results showed that the study area had 201.15 tons of Cassiterite potential at the first location and 300 tons at the second location to be studied further in terms of its economics.

Abstract

Excavation activities on mining activities cause tension changes on the ground that trigger the occurrence of deformation then followed by changes in slope stability. If slope stability is impaired then it will lead to the possibility of an avalanche, this will certainly result in the disruption of mining activities that endanger workers who are on the slope area with potential for avalanches. This study aims to find out parameters of basic RMR and deflection values of basic RMR at bench S and J, find out the values of slope stability using SMR at bench S and J, and cope with slope instability based on SMR values. The methods used in this study are quantitative and qualitative methods namely scanline sampling and rock physical test that is Uniaxial Compressive Strenght (UCS) tests, and Rock Quality Designation (RQD) measurements. The results of this study show that the rock conditions at the bench S and J are still good with RMR values of approximately 71 ± 73, the probability of avalanche occurrence is very low as SMR values range 71 ± 73, but still it needs to be carried out cutting on blocks indicated to ruins.

Abstract

The grade or slope of the road in a mining activity is certainly unavoidable. In addition to naturally following topographical contours, the shape of the mining pit is carried out from a high elevation leading to the lowest elevation following the slope level and the continuity of the excavation material makes the road should be made sloping. The high or low value of the road grade in addition to affecting the speed and travel time required by the unit, of course, also affects the level of fuel consumption. PT. Pamapersada Nusantara uses a conveyance unit with the HD Komatsu 785-7 type to move overburden material. Based on the results of the analysis, in the loaded condition, grade 2% uses 0.45 liters of fuel, 5% grades 0.77 liters, 6% grades 0.89 liters, 8% grades 1.09 liters and grades . While in the unloaded condition, grade 2% uses 0.19 liters of fuel, 5% grades 0.35 liters, 6% grades 0.4 liters, 8% grades 0.47 liters and 9% grades 0. 52 liters.

Abstract

Scale effect testing on rocks is carried out with the aim of knowing the strength of a rock based on different dimensions. This test was carried out using a uniaxial compressive strength test and also testing the physical properties of rocks. In the rock compressive strength test used 5 dimensions of rock samples with a H/W ratio of which are 4.5/3, 6/3, 7.5/3 for dimensions of 3 cm, 5.25/3.5, 7 /3.5, 8.75/3.5 for dimensions 3.5 cm, 6/4, 8/4, 10/4, for dimensions 4 cm, 6.75/4.5, 9/4.5, 11.25/4,5 cm for the 4.5 cm dimension and for the 5 cm dimension, namely 7.5/5, 10/5 and 12.5/5. Physical properties testing is carried out to determine the porosity value in the test rock samples, which will then be compared between the porosity values and the results of the compressive strength test of rock samples. Physical properties testing carried out obtained the average value of rock porosity, namely 22.562%, 22.122%, 20.454%, 21.227%, and 22.413%. In the scale effect test, it is known that the higher the rock sample, the smaller the value of the rock strength can be seen based on the R2 value obtained in the Balikpapan Formation, which is 0.0548.

Abstract

Underground mining activities (Undergound Mining) at PT Allied Indo Coal Jaya Encroachment area, Sawahlunto City has the risk of subsidence due to reduced soil carrying capacity due to excavation of underground mine openings. The excavation of underground mine openings will result in disruption of the stability of the area such as roof collapse, rib spalling, and floor heave. This research was conducted in 2 research locations, namely Tunnel 6 Seam B and Tunnel 3 Seam C which aims to determine the recommendation of a buffer system in underground mine openings (Tunnel) by analyzing the geomechanical value of rocks using the Rock Tunnelling Quality Index (Q-System) method. ) so that the Strength Factor value increases. Data collection methods were carried out by field observation and laboratory testing, while data processing used Phase 8.0 software with Mohr-Coulomb failure criteria. The results of calculations and data processing showed that the Strength Factor value in Tunnel 6 Seam B was 1,04 (relatively stable) and Tunnel 3 Seam C was 0,84 (unstable). These results indicate that Tunnel 6 Seam B and Tunnel 3 Seam C must be supported by a buffer system. After the buffering system was carried out the Strength Factor value of Tunnel 6 Seam B increased to 1,59 (stable) and Tunnel 3 Seam C increased to 1,63 (stable).
