Abstract

Personal hygiene, parents’ characteristics and worm infection among elementary school students in Gunung Kidul PurposeThe study aimed to analyze the correlation between individual hygiene of the students and characteristics of the student’s parents, and the worm infestation infection among state elementary school students in Gunung Kidul Regency.MethodsThe design of the study was cross-sectional while the sampling technique was by purposive sampling. Respondents of the research were the third to fifth grade students from four elementary schools.  Primary data gathering was conducted from April to May 2016, using observation and questionnaire pages as the instruments. The data analysis was performed using Fisher Exact test with confidence level of 95% and alpha= 0.05.ResultsThe results of the research show the prevalence of STH in Belik, Kropak, Gesing and Tepus I students, which was 2.7%. In the bivariate analysis, the variable which has significant relation with worm infestation infection is mother’s knowledge with PR= 0.91 (95% CI=0.82-1.02; p=0.035).ConclusionThis research suggests that public health center and school need to improve health promotion in elementary school children and mothers about clean and healthy life behavior.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Di awal tahun 2016, Kabupaten Banjarnegara telah mengalami kejadian luar biasa DBD dengan jumlah kasus sebanyak 230 kasus hingga minggu I bulan April 2016. Peningkatan kasus DBD merupakan ancaman yang cukup besar untuk kesehatan masyarakat dan menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi yang besar akibat dari biaya kesakitan Penaykit DBD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui biaya yang disebabkan oleh penyakit DBD berdasarkan perspektif pasien/keluarga di Rumah Sakit dan Puskesmas Kabupaten Banjarnegara tahun 2016.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan desain survei prospektif. Data sekunder diperoleh dari puskesmas dan rumah sakit  dan data primer melalui wawancara. Data diolah dengan software MS Excel dan dianalisis menggunakan software STATA versi 12.Hasil: Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 57 orang. Biaya langsung Rp 207.290.500 (rata-rata Rp 3.636.676). Biaya tidak langsung Rp 68.016.900 (rata-rata Rp 1.193.300).  Biaya kesakitan penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue adalah sebesar Rp.275.307.500 (rata-rata Rp.4.829.955). Biaya Kesakitan Penyakit DBD lebih tinggi pada aki-laki, kelompok >15 tahun, kelompok pekerja, lama sakit >7 hari, tidak memiliki jaminan kesehatan dan tidak menggunakan jaminan kesehatan, penggunaan fasilitas layanan kesehatan, praktik swasta dan RSUD, > 2 kali kunjungan, dan waktu tempuh >15 menit. Hasil analisis menunjukkan umur (p=0,0209), status pekerjaan (0,0389), kepemilikan jaminan kesehatan (0,0022), dan penggunaan jaminan kesehatan (p=0,0003).Kesimpulan: Biaya kesakitan penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue adalah sebesar Rp 275.307.500, dimana 75,29% merupakan biaya langsung dan 24,71% biaya tidak langsung. Meningkatkan peran aktif semua sektor terkait dan pembagian peran yang jelas untuk masing-masing sektor sehingga  pengendalian DBD menjadi terarah dan dukungan anggaran untuk upaya pencegahan dan pengendalian DBD.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kanker serviks menduduki urutan tertinggi di negara berkembang dan berada pada urutan ke 10 di negara maju atau urutan ke 5 secara global. Di Indonesia, kanker serviks menduduki urutan pertama dari 10 kanker terbanyak yang ditemukan di 13 laboratorium patologi anatomi di Indonesia. Data Riskesdas (2013) menunjukkan, Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu provinsi dengan prevalensi kanker serviks tertinggi yaitu 1,5‰. Faktor risiko kanker serviks umumnya  terkait dengan aktivitas seksual, sosial ekonomi rendah, hygiene serta penggunaan kontrasepsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian kanker serviks di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.Metode: Studi  case control dilakukan pada bulan Juli-Oktober 2016.  Kasus adalah pasien yang menderita kanker serviks berdasarkan diagnosis dokter , dan kontrol adalah pasien yang tidak menderita kanker serviks. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Data dianalisis dengan uji chi-square dan regresi logistik.  Hasil: Sebanyak  105 kasus dan 105 kontrol dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini. Faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian kanker serviks di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta adalah variabel usia pertama kali berhubungan seksual ≤ 20 tahun dengan aOR sebesar 2,41 (95% CI = 1,35-4,29; p = 0,003) dan penggunaan kontrasepsi  jenis oral/pil dengan aOR sebesar 3,40 (95% CI = 1,46-7,92; p = 0,004), sedangkan jumlah pasangan,paritas, pembalut, sirkumsisi dan merokok tidak berhubungan dengan kejadian kanker serviks di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.Kesimpulan: Bagi wanita yang belum aktif seksual dapat melakukan vaksinasi HPV. Menggunakan kondom ketika berhubungan seksual. Bagi wanita usia 30-49 tahun (aktif seksual) diharapkan untuk dapat mengikuti program deteksi dini kanker serviks dengan metode inspeksi visual asam asetat (IVA) yang sekarang bisa dilakukan di puskesmas. Menjalankan pemeriksaan papsmear minimal 1 kali dalam setahun.Kata Kunci: kanker serviks, case control, Yogyakarta

Abstract

Physical activity and screen based activity with adolescent sleep patterns in Wates PurposeThe purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between physical activity and screen based activity with sleep patterns in adolescents.MethodsA cross-sectional study was conducted among junior high school students in August 2016. Samples were 536 respondents selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected through interviews with a structured questionnaire, and measurements of height and waist circumference. Data analyses used chi-square, mann-whitney and logistic regression tests to explore factors associated with sleep pattern.ResultsOut off 536 respondents, poor sleep quality (34.5%) and short sleep duration (45.3%) happened among female adolescents. There was a significant correlation between screen based activity with sleep quality in adolescents. Physical activity had a significant relationship with sleep duration.ConclusionPhysical activity and SBA was associated with adolescent sleep patterns. Appropriate educational promotions by the Kulon Progo education authorities should be conducted to provide information about the importance of adequate sleep.

Abstract

Psychosocial stress and vulvovaginal Candidiasis among female sex workers in Banyumas PurposeThis study aimed to determine the relationship between psychosocial stress with candidiasis vulvovaginalis (KVV) incidence in female sex workers (FSW).MethodsThe research design was a case control study conducted in health center clinics in the Banyumas District. The sample size was 164 FSW (82 cases & 82 control). The research instrument was structured questionnaires, Social Readjustment Rating Scale (SRRS), laboratory equipment and microscopes for inspection KVV. Data analysis used logistic regression tests to calculate odds ratios (OR), confidence interval (CI), and p value.ResultsThe multivariate analysis showed that stress was not KVV risk factors, and the risk factors that contribute to the occurrence of KVV in FSW were oral sex (OR = 3.31, 95% CI = 1.60 to 6.83, p-value = 0.001) and smoking more than 10 cigarettes/day (OR = 2.33, 95% CI = 1.2 to 4.59, p-value = 0.014).ConclusionsThe risk factors of KVV were oral sex and smoking ≥ ten cigarettes/day. We recommend to avoid oral sex and smoking < ten cigarettes/day to avoid the risk of KVV infection.

Abstract

The influence of antenatal class implementation toward exclusive breastfeeding in Gunung Kidul Purpose This study aimed to determine the effect of the implementation of the antenatal class toward exclusive breastfeeding.Methods The research was a case-control study with a quantitative approach. This research was also supported by a qualitative approach which aimed to complement and reinforce the results obtained from the quantitative data. Sample cases were 135 exclusive breastfeeding infants aged 6-12 months, and the control sample were 135 not exclusive breastfeeding infants aged 6-12 month. Data analysis used the McNemar and conditional logistic regression tests with significance level of p = <0.05 and 95% confidence interval.Results Bivariate analysis showed that antenatal class affected exclusive breastfeeding p = 0.026 and OR = 1.80 (95% CI: 1.03 to 3.24). In the results of multivariate analysis after controlling by including support of her husband and the ANC p = 0.03 and OR = 1.86 (95% CI: 1.05 to 3.30). Mothers who attended antenatal class have exclusive breastfeeding rate 1.86 times higher compared to mothers who did not attend the antenatal class.Conclusion The antenatal class can directly affect exclusive breastfeeding, in spite of controlling the support of her husband and the ANC.

Abstract

Latar Belakang Kasus diare di Kabupaten Purworejo tahun 2013 yaitu 9.163 mengalami peningkatan pada tahun 2014 menjadi 9.543 kasus. Pada tahun 2014, 4% kematian bayi dan 13% kematian balita di Kabupaten Purworejo disebabkan oleh diare. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui determinan sosial kejadian diare akut pada anak usia 0-59 di Kabupaten Purworejo. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain match case control dengan perbandingan 1:1. Kasus adalah anak usia 0-59 bulan yang berobat ke RS Saras Husada yang didiagnosis menderita diare akut, diantar oleh ibunya dan berdomisili di Kabupaten Purworejo. Kontrol adalah anak usia 0-59 bulan yang berobat ke RS Saras Husada, tidak didiagnosis diare akut atau penyakit yang mempunyai gejala diare. Variabel yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini meliputi tingkat pendidikan ibu, status pekerjaan ibu, pengetahuan ibu, sikap ibu, perilaku ibu, status gizi dan wilayah tinggal. Besar sampel penelitian sebanyak 212 anak. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan consecutive sampling. Analisis bivariat dan multivariat dilakukan menggunakan uji conditional logistic regression. Hasil:. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa variabel yang memiliki hasil signifikan adalah tingkat pendidikan ibu (OR= 0,44; 95%CI= 0,24-0,80; p= 0,008), status pekerjaan ibu (OR= 0,56; 95%CI= 0,33-0,96; p= 0,038) dan perilaku ibu (OR= 1,84; 95%CI= 1,05-3,22; p= 0,032). Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa variabel tingkat pendidikan ibu, status pekerjaan ibu dan perilaku ibu memiliki hubungan yang bermakna terhadap diare akut. Kesimpulan: Determinan sosial kejadian diare akut pada anak usia 0-59 bulan di Kabupaten Purworejo adalah tingkat pendidikan ibu, status pekerjaan ibu dan perilaku ibu.

Abstract

Determinant of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis events at Dr. Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta PurposeThe purpose of this study was to identify the determinants of multidrug resistant events in patients with tuberculosis in Dr. Sardjito Hospital in Yogyakarta.MethodsA cross-sectional study was conducted involving 122 patients with suspected MDR TB consisting of 61 cases of MDR TB and 61 non MDR TB cases. The data collected were secondary data from MDR TB.06 registers, medical records, MDR TB.03 registers, and MDR TB patients' baseline data forms at Dr. Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta from January 2012 until September 2016. Data were analyzed to determine the correlation between independent variables and dependent variable using Chi-Square tests, and to know the most dominant risk factors using multiple logistic regression tests.Results MDR TB patients’ characteristics showed there were more males (63.93%), age >45 years (52.46%), previously TB treatment (96.72%), never smoking (75.41%), no contacts with MDR TB patients (86.89%), and never examined for HIV-AIDS (59.02%). The analysis showed there was no significant association between age, sex, previous TB treatment, smoking, contact with MDR TB patients, and HIV-AIDS status with MDR TB incidence in Dr. Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta (p value >0.05).Conclusion The variables of age, sex, previous TB treatment, smoking, contacts with MDR TB patients, and HIV-AIDS status were not risk factors for MDR TB incidence in Dr. Sardjito Hospital in Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Indoor air pollution and cardiometabolic diseases in Indonesia: an Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) analysis PurposeThe purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between indoor air pollution due to the use of firewood with cardiometabolic disease.MethodsThis research was a prospective cohort study conducted by comparing secondary data of the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 2 to IFLS 5. Bivariate analysis used logistic regression and simple Cox regression tests. Multivariate analysis used Cox regression tests.ResultsResults showed exposure to air pollution due to the use of firewood accelerated the incidence of diabetes mellitus by 1.32 times, after controlling for the variables of smoking status, education level, body mass index, waist circumference, and domicile areas. The use of firewood was not correlated to the rate of onset of cardiovascular disease such as CHD and stroke.ConclusionThis research recommends LPG as a replacement fuel.
