Human progress is increasingly developing due to the increasingly advanced science and technology in the 21st century, also develops aparadigm of human thinking that is increasingly diverse. This also results in increasingly large challenges in the world of educationtoday. Therefore, everything must be prepared relating to education in the 21st century that changes and develops rapidly along with therapid development of Science and technology. The rapid changes that occur in the world of education are expected to not cause us to beuprooted from the cultural roots that we have inherited from time to time. Based on such background, an education based on localwisdom should be developed. Local wisdom, among others, in the form of values, norms, beliefs, natural resources, culture and customs,or rules that support the development of human resources. Local wisdom is integrated into various educational activities both curricular,co-curricular and extra-curricular as well as school or educational institution management. The learning can be done by choosingstrategies, approaches, methods and techniques that are considered suitable for incorporating local wisdom in various forms.

This reseach was aimed to explore the low students’ ability of math. One of the way for learning could be applied to improve the students ability in exploring of math is Think Pair Share (TPS) model. The purpose of this reseach to know: the improvement of the students’ ability in exploring of math used “Think Pair Share(TPS)” and responded the students to learning of math about this learning, the metode was used is cuasi eksperimen metode with reseach design in pretest-posttest control group design.This reseach was conducted at one of SMP Swasta in Bandung. The population were all students eight grade. Students eight grade B class group as control class. Eksperiment class was given “Think Pair Share(TPS)” learning model and control class convensional learning model instrument was used to test ability about the explore math, the students respons qualitatif data and quantitatif data. Based on the result of analysis in tets math exploring ability was concluded, the improvement of the students’ability in exploring of math with” Think Pair Share (TPS)”was more students used convensional model learning, students answered the positif respons to “Think Pair Share (TPS)” learning model.

This study is a classroom action research that aims to find out whether the students 'learning motivation in grade IX SMPNegeri 1 Labuhan Deli can be improved by applying mathematics learning with Brain Based Learning approach andknowing how the students' learning result with the application of Brain Based Learning approach. The research instrumentused to measure students' motivation in the form of questionnaires while the instrument to measure student learning outcomesin the form of tests. Based on the result of questionnaire of initial motivation given to the students before the action, it isknown that the low motivation level of the students with the average of the initial motivation questionnaire score is 44.21and the percentage of grade motivation level is 55.26%. After giving action on cycle I, the mean of student motivationquestionnaire score is 47,97 and the percentage of class motivation level is 59,97%. Next on the second cycle, the averagestudent motivation questionnaire score is 53 and the percentage of grade motivation level of 66.25%. From the results oftests given to students it is known that the number of students who completed in the first cycle of 61.54% while in the secondcycle 87.18%, obtained student learning completeness level in classical increased by 25.64%. Thus, the application of BrainBased Learning approach to mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Deli can improve students' motivation andlearning outcomes.

The background of this research was the low of students’ interest and mathematical communication ability. One of learning alternatif that can be applied to increase students’ interest and mathematical communication ability was the Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategy. The aims of this study to increase students’ interest and mathematical communication ability through Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategies, and students' responses to mathematics learning by using Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategies. The approach used in this research were qualitative and quantitative approach. While the method used in this research was Class Action Research method which refers to the steps of Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. A cycle consists of planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research was all of the student in VII-B class MTs at Pangalengan District, Bandung Regency. The data collection instruments consist of formative tests, observation sheets, questionnaires, and journals. Data analysis technique used Triangulation. Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, showed students’ interest and mathematical communication ability has increase after using the Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategy, and students’ response to mathematics learning by using Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategy is positive.

Calculus is a must course of many major in higher education. It caused by calculus has a role as basic foundation of manytheories and its application is used in many aspects of various majors. However, many students had difficulty to undersatandcalculus course. Its difficulty was caused by calculus course could not been integrated with topics that was learned in each ofmajors. Solution of that problem is to integrated topics from various majors in calculus course and it can be done with STEMlearning. STEM learning integrates science aspect (S), technology aspect (T), engineering aspect (E), and mathematics aspect(M) in learning process so it can makes calculus course to be more realistic so students can easily understand it.

This research is motivated by the low ability of understanding and self-efficacy of students. One alternative is to apply Cooperative Type Talking Stick learning. The purpose of this study was to determine self-efficacy and increase students' understanding ability using the Cooperative Type Talking Stick model with students who used the Discovery Learning model. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method, with a pretest-posttest control group design research design. The study was conducted at one of the State Junior High Schools in Bandung Regency, with the sample of students in class VII-A as an experimental class and class VII-B as a control class. The experimental class uses the Cooperative Type Talking Stick model, while the control class uses the Discovery Learning model. The instrument used was a self-efficacy questionnaire, a mathematical understanding ability test, and an observation sheet of educator activity. The results of the study were analyzed using two mean differences (t-test). Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that the self-efficacy of students who use the Cooperative Type Talking Stick model and students who use the Discovery Learning model, both have very good self-efficacy qualifications. While increasing students' mathematical understanding ability using the Cooperative Type Talking Stick model is better than students using the Discovery Learning model.

Generatif learning model was expected to be an alternative to increase student’s mathematical communication ability. The purpose of the research to determine the improvement of student’s mathematical communication ability after using Generatif learning model, the influence of generative learning models on improving mathematical communication skills, and the response to student’s the generative learning model. This research method used quasi-experiment with non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The research’s subject was VIII-C as experimental class and VIII-G as a control class which chosen as purposive sampling. The research instruments were tests, observation sheets and questionnaires. The research conclude that student’s mathematical communication abiliy class research have increased significantly compared to the control class. It finds based on the average score N-gain on every mathematical communication indicators. The influence of Generative learning model toward the increasing students’ mathematical communication ability at experimental class is high interpretation. It indicates that Generative learning model has positive influence to student’s mathematical communication ability. In addition, students’ responnse to Generative learning model are positive.

Child's world is a world of play, therefore learning for children should do while playing. The responsibility of educators is to create a game that creative and fun, so that children can learn according to their developmental age. there are lots of math games, one of them is numbers mat that can be used for learning arithmetic. The aim of this study is to determine progress of arithmetic ability by using the Mathematics game. This study used a qualitative approach and the case study method. Datas obtained through student’s observation and teachers’ interview. The study was conducted in one of kindergarten in Bandung. Observations made during the month of May 2016. The results showed that the students' arithmetic ability have very good developed.

This research is motivated by the lack of student motivation to learn, causing student learning outcomes to be low. Alternative media that can be used to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes is wordwall educational game media. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a significant effect of the use of wordwall educational games on the motivation and learning outcomes of seventh grade students in the quadrilateral material. This research is a quantitative research with an experimental model. The data collection technique for motivation is a questionnaire, while the data collection for learning outcomes is pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique was carried out using SPSS 19.0 for windows with t-test. The results of this study indicate that the use of wordwall educational games in mathematics learning activities has a significant effect on students' motivation and learning outcomes. It can be seen from the percentage of learning motivation in the experimental class is higher than the control class and the average value of the experimental class is higher than the control class.
