Abstract

Background – Employees are overwhelmed to solve problems in the field because employees in the distribution division and customer disruptions are also short of manpower so it will be difficult to optimize their performance. Objective – This study aims to determine the factors that hinder the performance of employees at the Regional Drinking Water Company in Gresik Regency in providing clean water and to analyze strategies for improving the performance of employees of the Gresik Regency Drinking Water District in providing clean water, which currently may not be in accordance with the expectations of all communities. Design/ Methodology/ Approach – This study used a qualitative research approach using data validity testing by means of memberchecks, and data collection techniques using interviews. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. Findings – The results showed that there was 1) factors inhibiting employee performance in terms of quality, quantity, and time, as well as the existence 2) strategies to improve employee performance in terms of quality, quantity, and time. Research Implication – Factors that hinder employee performance in serving the community quickly and responsively and keeping their promises accurately, and lack of empathy for the needs of the community. Limitations – The researcher urges to conduct further and deeper research related to the phenomenon of employee performance improvement strategies using different techniques.

Abstract

Background – Production results in the last 3 years at PT Petrokimia Gresik's phonska factory fluctuated and tended to decline. Objective – This study aims to analyze the influence of variables of organizational culture, work rotation, work discipline and work motivation on employee performance in Phonska factory. Design / Methodology / Approach – Researchers used a quantitative approach with a population of 75 production employees. The sampling technique is saturated and uses probability sampling method with the number of samples are 75 respondents. Findings – The results of the study proved that the variables of organizational culture, work discipline and work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and job rotation variables had no effect on employee performance. Research Implication – Directly the impact on the company if the factors that affect performance are not considered, the employee's performance has decreased, therefore it is necessary to do a diclap, seminar, etc. so that employees understand better and do well and obtain good performance as well. Limitations – The next researcher should be able to expand the research so that more complete information is obtained about the factors that affect employee performance, namely leadership style, work stress, education level, work experience, job satisfaction, and job loyalty. on performance.

Abstract

Background - PT. Trans Ocean Services Indonesia, a company engaged in transportation management services (JPT) or Freight Forwarding. In 2022, there were employees who left the company every month because of the employee's own wishes and the company did not extend the employee's contract Objective - This study aims to test job insecurity, job stress and job satisfaction on turnover intention at PT. Trans Ocean Services Indonesia. Design / Methodology / Approach - The population used in this study were all permanent employees working at PT. Trans Ocean Services Indonesia, totaling 61 people with a saturated sampling technique, namely a sampling technique where all members of the population were sampled. The data source in this study is primary data, namely the results of distributing questionnaires to respondents, namely employees of PT. Trans Ocean Services Indonesia. The type of data used is subjective data in the form of written responses as questionnaire responses. The analysis model used in this study is a multiple linear regression analysis model. Findings - Job insecurity has been shown to have a positive and significant effect on turnover intention. job stress has been shown to have a positive and significant effect on turnover intention. Job satisfaction has been shown to have a positive and significant effect on turnover intention. Research Implications – The level of job insecurity given by the company to employees can be seen from the meaning of the job for the individual, the level of threat felt by employees regarding aspects of the job, the level of threat that is likely to occur and affect the overall work of the individual, the helplessness of the individual and the level of threat to the job in the following year. The level of job stress given by the company to employees can be seen from the demands of the task, the demands of the role, the demands of interpersonal relationships, the organizational structure and the leadership of the organization providing a management style to the organization. The level of job satisfaction given by the company to employees can be seen from the work, wages, promotions, supervisors and co-workers. Research Limitations – The research will provide valid results for the company that is the object of the research

Abstract

Background – CV. Unicorn Kencana Indopetra is a company engaged in the distribution of marble sales. In carrying out its business processes when receiving goods from suppliers, based on pre-research conducted by the author of CV. Unicorn Kencana Indopetra in selecting suppliers using historical data and adjusting according to consumer demand. The selection of suppliers does not use a special method so that sometimes obstacles or problems arise such as goods received are defective, cracked, or broken. This results in quite a lot of losses because the goods purchased do not match the estimated price to be sold due to defects during shipping or not being packed safely from impact. Objective – This study aims to describe the selection of marble and granite suppliers that have been carried out by the company and compare it with the method of selecting marble and granite suppliers using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. Design / Methodology / Approach – This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are structured interviews, documentation, focused group discussions. Findings – The results of this study state that the overall AHP Software Expert Choice results, PT. XYZ (Supplier Italia 1) is considered the best supplier with a weight value of 0.327, followed by PT. CDE (Supplier China 1) with a weight value of 0.258, PT. ABC (Supplier Italy 2) with a weight value of 0.187, PT. FGH (Supplier China 2) with a weight value of 0.136, and PT. IJK (Supplier China 3) with a weight value of 0.091. These results indicate that overall, the best suppliers that will be chosen by the company to be used as long-term partners are PT. XYZ (Supplier Italy 1) and PT CDE (Supplier China 1) because overall these suppliers have the highest value compared to the other three suppliers. Research Implication – The findings of this study can be used as a reference if the subsequent research faces conditions similar to the findings in this study. Limitations – This study has limitations in the selection of marble and granite suppliers.

Abstract

Background – This research was conducted at the Makmur Sejahtera Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) of Pongangan Village, Manyar District. BUMDes Makmur Sejahtera has realized community welfare in terms of what the needs of the community are through the business units it runs, and BUMDes Makmur Sejahtera has been responsive in finding what the needs of the community are. Objective – The purpose of this study was to determine how the performance of the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Makmur Sejahtera Pongangan village Manyar sub-district and to find out what factors support the performance of the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Makmur Sejahtera Pongangan village Manyar sub-district. Design / Methodology / Approach – This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The samples used were the BUMDes director, BUMDes treasurer, and Pongangan villagers. The data collection method used was to survey respondents through interviews with informants. Findings – In the management of BUMDes Makmur Sejahtera has implemented the principles well, namely the productivity of BUMDes Makmur Sejahtera creates many business unit programs that run smoothly, the quality of service is able to provide satisfaction to BUMDes users by establishing business units in accordance with user needs, the responsibility of administrators and officers is committed and carries out their respective duties and authorities well. The accountability of BUMDes Makmur Sejahtera is said to be good because it routinely conducts monthly to annual reporting. As well as the support of several factors in encouraging BUMDes performance, namely government support, resources and leadership. Research Implication – The impact of the BUMDes research results for future management studies can contribute to the development of management theory, especially in the context of local economic development and economic independence of village communities and can help develop a more effective management system. Limitations – The limitations of this research are that the performance portrayed is more on the qualitative data side but what is poured does not add and display the performance from year to year of the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Makmur Sejahtera Pongangan Village, Manyar District.

Abstract

Background - Identification of internal company factors and external environmental factors that affect the company. Objectives - This study aims to identify the right and competitive strategy for Salafiyah Bakery. Design/ Methodology/ Approach - Conducted using the SWOT analysis method. (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). This research method is a qualitative approach using a descriptive analysis method on 4 respondents, namely business owners and 2 bakery employees and 1 consumer. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, questionnaires submitted by respondents, and documentation. Then the data obtained from the results of data collection were analyzed using SWOT, IFAS, EFAS and IE analysis. Based on the results of the internal factor analysis, 6 strengths and 6 weaknesses were found. While the external factors identified were 6 opportunities and 5 threats. Conclusion - Based on the analysis of the results of the IFAS matrix, it produced a value of 2.74 and the EFAS matrix produced a figure of 3.22. In the IE matrix diagram, this study shows that the Salafiyah Bakery business is in the growth quadrant which is in the second quarter, which means that the company can implement a growth strategy. Research Limitations - This study has several limitations. First, the research time is relatively short. Second, one of the key informants in this study was difficult to contact, which resulted in a lack of important information from relevant perspectives. These limitations can affect the quality of the data collected and the analysis conducted.

Abstract

Background – The progress in the economic sector so far has brought many rapid developments in the trading business sector and brought about major changes in the Indonesian retail market. Objective – This study aims to test the effect of store atmosphere, service quality and brand image on customer satisfaction at Matahari Department Store Plaza, Gresik Regency. Design / Methodology / Approach – The research method used is quantitative research methods, the types and sources of data used are primary data, and data collection techniques are carried out by distributing questionnaires. Findings – Research data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who visited Matahari Department Store Plaza, Gresik Regency. Research Implication – The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. Store Atmosphere (X1) obtained t count of (4.306), while t table was (1.984) at a significant level of 5%, thus the results of statistical calculations show that partially the Store Atmophere (X1) variable is proven to have a significant effect on Matahari Department Store Customer Satisfaction. Gresik Regency Plaza. Service Quality (X2) obtained t count of (1.878), while t table was (1.984) at a significant level of 5%. Thus the results of statistical calculations show that service quality has no effect on Customer Satisfaction at Matahari Department Store Plaza Gresik Regency. Brand Image (X3) obtained t count of (1.997), while t table of (1.984) at a significant level of 5%. Thus the results of statistical calculations show that the Brand Image affects the Customer Satisfaction of Matahari Department Store Plaza, Gresik Regency. Limitations – cannot make direct observation because it is hampered by covid 19

Abstract

Background – In an era where it is easier to get access to communicate, exchange information, even to the buying and selling process, many online businesses have been running. Objective – The purpose of this study is to identify the causes of fraudulent online purchases on Instagram and the impact of this fraud. Design / Methodology / Approach – Researchers used a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were 7 informants. Data collection was carried out by interview. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation and membercheck. Findings – The results of the research that have been done show that the occurrence of cases of online fraud on Instagram is caused by a lack of caution from some informants and an element of intent from the seller. The impact after the occurrence of the online fraud case differed among several informants. Some informants will still make repeat purchases, but be careful, and do not repurchase on Instagram. Research Implication – It is hoped that it can research online purchase fraud cases more widely, not only researching fraud cases on Instagram but also researching fraud cases in other places such as other social media, and marketplaces. It is hoped that the next research can dig deeper into online fraud and not only from a consumer perspective with a wider scope. Limitations – Unable to conduct direct interviews with several informants due to the timing of the research during the Covid19 pandemic.

Abstract

Background – Distributor warehouses can experience excess or shortage conditions of cement stock and solutions that must be implemented when the distributor's warehouse experiences these conditions. Based on this reality, it is necessary to analyze the causes of excess and shortage of stock experienced by the warehouses of the distributors in question. Objective – This study aims to find out the cause of the warehouse being distributor experiencing excess and lack of stock and knowing the solutions applied by the company in meeting the stock levels standardized by Semen Gresik. Design / Methodology / Approach – The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. The research method used is qualitative research. Primary data is obtained through interviews with key informants, while secondary data is obtained from library studies, books, internet, and data obtained from internal companies. Findings – The results of this study indicate that the causes of stock over and lack of stock can be caused by given factors and information distortion factors. Research Implication – While the solution for following up the stock availability of Semen Gresik products in distributor warehouses for the causes caused by given factors is grouped based on warehouse stock conditions that are excess or lacking. While the solution to the causes caused by information distortion factors must be validated data in the system with stock data in the field to determine the next follow-up. In addition, the Area Manager must socialize to distributors and improve the system. Limitations – The researcher limited the relationship of problems related to the planning of sales targets, sales efforts, supply chains starting from upstream to distribution to packing plants, grinding plants, and distribution centers.

Abstract

Background – Re-branding is an effort made by a company to totally change or renew an existing brand to be better by not ignoring the company's initial goal of being profit-oriented. To provide information on products that have been re-branding, the company usually carries out promotions. The goal is to provide information to consumers, that the product has been changed brand by the company. Objective – The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an influence of the promotional mix on the purchasing decision of K3PG bottled water products after making a brand change. Design / Methodology / Approach – This research is located at JL. Kayu Raya Perumahan Pongangan Indah, GKB and used 125 samples using accidental sampling. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis. Findings – The results showed that advertising has no effect on product purchasing decisions, while personal selling, public relations, sales promotion, and direct marketing have a significant influence on purchasing decisions. Research Implication – The promotional mix applied consists of advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, public relations, and direct marketing. Of the five mixtures, advertising has a very big influence, because with advertising the company can persuade and influence consumers. Limitations – The variables used in this study are advertising, personal selling, public relations, sales promotion, and direct marketing on product purchasing decisions.
