Abstract

When the general election day is upcoming, the media outset to actively fulfill the news headline with political issues, especially presidential candidates. One of them is the monopoly game a new concept of political talk that has been presented by media for a long time. This phenomenon is interesting and recorded high responses from public as spectator in the comments column since it was uploaded. Hence, the researcher determine to analyze the audiences’ responses to media creativity in creating renewal of discussion patterns by using descriptive qualitative approach and Struat Hall's reception theory. The descriptive analysis was formulated based on literature review of media sources and related literature. The results of the analysis show that the creative presentation of political education through the media attracts public interest in supporting the upcoming election day which is the goals of Indonesian democracy.

Abstract

The more advanced the age then, the way of delivering the message also becomes more modern and follow the trend that evolves amongst the society. The same is true of the preachers who have different methods so that their message can be accepted by their mad’s. In this rapid development of technology many electronic media can be used as a means of distribution of fame like Youtobe, Tik tok, Instagram, Facebook and so on. This research was used to find out the method of praise of Ning Umi Laila in her YouTube video entitled "Mothers Luweh Pleased Studying Opo Rasan-rasan". In this process, the author uses qualitative research using methods of content analysis. Primary and secondary data collection techniques. The result of the study this time shows that Ning Umi Laila is one of the women who are still said to be fairly young, but even so his teachings can be accepted in all categories because the teachings method used is the teaching methods bill of things that is the compatibility of behavior to be followed, Mauidzah Hasanah that is gentleness in speaking words, Bil Hikmah that is teaching the way of God by using wisdom, and the last one is his teaching while using Islamic songs and Sholawat as the method of teaching, it is done so that his teaches do not get bored and revive the spirit of the listeners (mad’u).

Abstract

Preaching via radio is an appropriate means of conveying da'wah messages. One of the radio stations that focuses on segmenting its programs containing da'wah in Nganjuk Regency is Radio Tasma (Tanjung Suara Makarti) 99.04 FM in Tanjunganom District. The essence of the problem that the author will analyze in this research is how to plan the da'wah media program as well as the program model and evaluation of Islamic studies da'wah at PT. Radio Tanjung Suara Makarti (Tasma Fm) Nganjuk. This research uses descriptive qualitative research and uses inductive analysis. From the results of the research carried out by the author and outlined above, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) Planning for the Islamic Studies Da'wah program. In this case it is linked to the topic that will be chosen. Then in the planning part the crew on duty will be determined according to their duties, such as producer, event director, moderator, announcer, and others. (2) The Islamic Studies Program Model is a daily program that airs from five to six in the morning from Monday to Sunday. (3) Evaluation of the Da'wah Media Program for Grounding Islam in the Archipelago can be done in two ways, namely evaluation of the planning and evaluation of the program model.

Abstract

The Eruption of Mount Semeru that occurred in Lumajang Regency in 2021 has claimed 51 lives and dozens are missing. Disaster Communication is present in an effort to minimize victims and affected areas. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of disaster communication carried out in a state social system during a volcanic eruption disaster. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach that specifically discusses the case of the eruption of Mount Semeru. The author describes disaster communication carried out by the government and related parties in order to respond to the disaster and then minimize its impact. The author also finds the role of online media both social media and news media in maximizing this disaster communication. The government as the center of the social system uses direct communication. The choice of language and diction that is firm and focused is intended so that those engaged in the field do not hesitate in making decisions in accordance with pre-disaster procedures that have been directed beforehand.

Abstract

The background to the problem of this research is that there are many applications similar to Wattpad that can be used as a medium to develop creativity, especially among Islamic broadcasting communication students class of 2017, such as Webtoon or Mangatoon. The aim of the first research is to determine the analysis of the use of the Wattpad application as a medium for developing creativity for Islamic Broadcasting Communication students, Class of 2017. The research uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the research show that there is an analysis of the use of the Wattpad application as a media for developing the creativity of Islamic Broadcasting Communication Students Class of 2017, namely to convey the content of a story or prepare a final college assignment report, remembering that students in the final semester are busy and they can use the Wattpad application to make it easier. for all their work, this application is an opportunity for them to share stories both in terms of cognition, affection and connotation that can convey students' feelings in any situation.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the proactive role of therapeutic communication in maintaining people's mental health by 2024. This research is descriptive qualitative, with a literature review research method. The results of this research are that effective and proactive therapeutic communication can help individuals and communities understand, overcome and support mental health. Mental health practitioners who use proactive therapeutic communication can play an important role in providing the support, education, and interventions needed to improve the mental health of society as a whole. With the proactive role of therapeutic communication, mental health practitioners can act as facilitators, supporters, and active sources of information in treating the mental health of individuals or communities

Abstract

This study examined the mass media condition, especially radio in Surakarta or Solo City, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research used qualitative methods, technically by interviews, observations, and documents studied on public, private, and community radio. The results show that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the media industry, including radio. We could see from the changes in broadcast aspects, advertising orders or financial conditions, and human resource aspects. The pandemic required broadcasters to make changes to broadcasts, both changes in broadcast duration and changing agendas and changes in broadcasters' work schedules. In the financial aspect, broadcasting institutions with government financial sources did not get significant shocks. Still, private broadcasters suffered heavy losses due to loss of sponsorship and off-air activities. Media workers also got impacts ranging from exposure to death. Non-public media workers also affect late payments to salary reductions due to the pandemic

Abstract

This study analyzes the communication style of Gibran Rakabuming on social media platform X using the perspective of symbolic interactionism. As a prominent young figure in politics who frequently demonstrates unique communication methods on social media, Gibran uses these platforms to build his self-identity and interact with the public. Through a literature review, this research reveals how the symbols, meanings, and interactions Gibran creates on social media reflect the process of identity formation and how the public responds to them. The findings show that from the perspective of symbolic interactionism, Gibran Rakabuming's communication style can be understood as a process of symbolic interaction between Gibran and his audience on social media. He employs symbols such as casual language, humor, and a minimalist communication style to create a strong and memorable impression. Thus, symbolic interactionism helps explain how Gibran utilizes symbols in his political communication to influence public opinion and enhance his electability.

Abstract

 This research aims to examine symbolic communication in the Mitoni ritual in Sinar Mulyo Village, Pulau Panggung Subdistrict, Tanggamus Regency, as well as its role as a medium for da'wah and interaction with global civilization. The Mitoni ritual, which is a seven-month tradition in Javanese culture, is rich in symbolism that reflects spiritual and social values. The method used in this research is qualitative with a semiotic analysis approach to understand the meaning of symbols contained in the Mitoni procession, such as offerings, prayers, and other rituals. The results show that the symbols in the Mitoni ritual function as an effective means of delivering da'wah messages to the community, educating them about religious teachings, and strengthening family and togetherness values. In addition, this study reveals that the Mitoni ritual also acts as a bridge that connects local culture with global civilization, creating intercultural dialogue that enriches people's understanding of diversity. Through this interaction, the Mitoni tradition not only maintains local cultural identity but also contributes to strengthening universal values in the context of globalization. This research is expected to provide insight into the importance of maintaining tradition in the process of da'wah and interaction with global civilization, as well as highlighting the role of local culture in shaping da'wah narratives that are relevant in the modern era.
