Abstract

This study aims to examine the director size, frequency of director meeting, female director, and independent commissioner on the firm financial performance. The population in this study are companies listed in the LQ45 index for the 2017-2020 period. In this study, purposive sampling selected 27 companies as a sample, with the number of observations as many as 108 observations. This study uses an analytical method that analyzes regression with a fixed-effect model approach and hypothesis testing. The results show that director size positively and significantly affected the firm financial performance. The female director negatively and significantly affected the firm financial performance, the frequency of director meeting and independent commissioner has no significant negative effect on the company's financial performance, while leverage and growth as control variables has no significant positive effect on the firm financial performance. Investors are advised to pay more attention to factors such as director size and female directors to be taken into consideration before investing. This study suggests that future researchers can use other proxies in measuring the firm financial performance, both from a financial perspective such as ROE and a market value perspective such as Tobin's Q. Further researchers are also advised to examine other factors related to the board characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the legal politics of social security for Indonesian migrant workers is reviewed based on the concept of ethics of care, this research method uses the Normative Research method with a literature approach, the results of the study show that the provision of social security for Indonesian migrant workers has been carried out by the government in recent political legal developments, but on the one hand social security is only given to the extent of implementing public policy, The regulation of providing social security to Indonesian migrant workers is still considered not to provide social security, especially for the families of migrant workers in terms of social policy if in the future they, namely migrant workers, experience illness, unpaid salaries, to experience slavery, in the study of feminism theory there is criticism based on the concept of ethics of care where the need for the government in this case not only carries out its obligations in terms of public policy, but also in terms of social policy, especially social security for the family resilience of Indonesian migrant workers. The concept of ethics of care in providing social security for the families of migrant workers needs to be applied to the formation of a future policy by the government as mandated by Pancasila, namely in realizing social justice and welfare together (Social Welfare).

Economic slowdown after the COVID-19 pandemic had a big impact on Indonesia, economic recovery was achieved through OSS, which in practice many businessmen request to be processed through Notary. The article aims to analyze the authority of Notaries in processing Business Licenses in OSS. This article uses a normative juridical method. Based on UUJN and PP of Business Licensing, there’s no Notary's authority on licensing arrangements. The basis for the Notary's is only power of attorney from the businessman, where this power of attorney, based on Article 1320 of the Civil Code, is void because it violates existing regulations. There are no sanctions for Notaries, but businessmen are subject to administrative sanctions if they do not fulfill their commitments. Notaries should not accept requests for licensing and focus on education.

Abstract

Picky eating is not a diagnosis or disease, but rather an indication or a symptom of underlying irregularities within a child's physiology. It manifests as a refusal to consume food or drink or struggles with ingesting appropriate types and quantities for their age, from the simple act of opening one's mouth without coercion, to chewing, swallowing, and digesting without any external pressure or need for specific nutrients or medications. Numerous risk factors have been identified as significant contributors to the presence of picky eating in children, most notably oral motor disorders and delayed speech development. This observational analytic study involved 138 children between the ages of 6-60 months as subjects, with interviews conducted by their parents serving as the primary method of data collection. Developmental Pre-screening Questionnaire (KPSP) and modified questionnaire of risk factor of picky eating were utilized to evaluate each child's overall development and assess potential risk factors related to feeding difficulties. Findings from this investigation indicated that both oral motor disorders and delayed speech had notable effects on children aged 6-60 months residing in MaIang.
