Journal of Islamic Management is an open access and peer-reviewed journal published by the Department of Da’wah Management, Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (UIN) Surabaya. Our main goal is to disseminate current and original articles from researchers and practitioners on various contemporary da’wah management and socio-religious issues: da`wah studies, human resource management, Islamic finance institutional management, Islamic pilgrimage management, religious tourism management, and the dynamics of Islamic management. JIM is published twice a year in November and May. Submissions are open year-round. Before submitting, please ensure that the manuscript is in accordance with focus and scope, written in Bahasa Indonesia or English, and follows our author guidelines and manuscript template.

Abstract

The potential of Indonesian Halal Tourism is in great demand by foreign tourists, in the current Covid-19 period, one of the most visible influences is the internet. The Internet has become a liaison for the whole world in carrying out its activities. During the Covid-19 pandemic, a platform in the form of a digital application is needed that can load all destinations, from places, lodging, food, and facilities owned by tourist attractions that are labeled halal tourism to restore tourist visits. It aims to find out how to develop Halal Tourism Applications on Smart Phones (android/OS). This writing uses library research (library research), and is qualitative, descriptive analysis. The results of the discussion show that the Potential for Transforming Digitalization to an easy and efficient smartphone, strengthening digital infrastructure in the form of services and qualified human resources, increasing synergies between stakeholders that strengthen policies that are able to encourage the acceleration of digitalization, and branding halal tourism by conducting the "Halal Lifestyle Literacy Campaign".

Abstract

Currently, the number of PIHKs in Indonesia in 2021 is 348 and the number of PPIUs to date is 1313, the large number has opened up increasingly fierce market competition. As time goes by, the interest of the Indonesian Muslim community who wants to perform the Hajj and Umrah is increasing. The purpose of this study was to the formulation and then the implementation and evaluation of the marketing mix strategy carried out by PT. Zamzam Sumbula Thoyyiba in the face of market competition, which consists of seven marketing mix variables developed, namely product, price, promotion, place, people, process and physical evidence. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method that produces descriptive data expressed in the form of sentences and descriptions using data collection techniques, namely interviews, observations, documentation and other supporting data. The results of this study, the authors conclude that PT. Zamzam Sumbula Thoyyiba has formulated, implemented and evaluated the 7P marketing mix strategy in accordance with the company's goals and does not consider other companies to be competitors or enemies but friends of an association that can be invited to cooperate.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem studied in this study is How are Da'wah Activities in the A'dodoro Tradition in Lantang Village, South Polongbangkeng District, Takalar Regency? and What is the Value of Da'wah in the A'dodoro Tradition in Lantang Village, South Polongbangkeng District, Takalar Regency? The purpose of this study was to describe the activity of making dodol in Lantang Village, South Bontonmpo District, Takalar Regency and to find the value of da'wah in the tradition of making dodol in Lantang Village, South Polongbangkeng District, Takalar Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method where this type of research only tries to describe and analyze the A'dodoro Tradition as a Da'wah Activity in the Lantang area. The data were dug in depth with interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the value of da'wah contained in the a'dodoro tradition is the value of community solidarity, the value of generosity and the value of gratitude.

Abstract

Surviving during a pandemic is not easy, including for philanthropic institutions. The Amil Zakat Institution is one of the Islamic philanthropic institutions that collect funds from muslims. Fundraising (collecting funds) in this pandemic period has two interrelated sides. The firdt side is not easy, because everyone is affected economically from the pandemic. On the other side, fundraising is important, to be able to help people who are most severely affected. This study discusses the methode used by philanthropic institutions in raising funds during the pandemic, through two research questions. First, what is the fundraising procedure during a pandemic. Second, how to increase the number of donors during a pandemic. Through descriptive qualitative methode, this reseaarch explore data by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the study show that first, the fundraising conducted by zakat management institutions is not much different before the pandemic, it’s just that the limitation of working time and meeting other people during the pandemic creates obstacles. Thus, efforts are being made to strengthen fundraising through online. Second, increasing the number of donors during a pandemic is not an easy endeavor. Therefore, the increase in the number of donors is carried out qualitatively, by taking care of existing donors through the best service. Thus, the implications of this study indicate that the pandemic is a formidable challenge for philanthropic institutions to be able to survive abd provide maximum service to the community.

Abstract

Today, the discussion about work ethic is becoming increasingly important. Moreover, the work ethic of caregivers in pesantren. The formulation of the problem from this research is how is the work ethic of asatidz devotion at the Ibnul Qoyyim Putra Islamic boarding school; What are the factors that influence the work ethic of asatidz Islamic boarding school service Ibnul Qoyyim Putra; What is the role of leadership in improving the work ethic of asatidz in the service of the Ibnul Qoyyim Putra Islamic boarding school. This research is a qualitative research. This study uses a phenomenological approach. The subjects of this study were the director and deputy director and Asatidz for the service of the Ibnul Qoyyim Putra Islamic boarding school. Data was collected using the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The work ethic of asatidz devotion at the Ibnul Qoyyim Putra Islamic boarding school is quite good. The indicators are polite loyalty, humble, patient, and have stable emotions. (2) the factors that influence the work ethic of asatidz devotion, namely intrinsic and extrinsic motivation (3) The role of leadership in improving work ethic is to give appreciation to asatidz who have good performance, evaluate asatidz whose performance is not good, become a motivator for asatidz devotion and create a family atmosphere between leaders and service asatidz.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: Is there any influence of Service Marketing, Relation Marketing and Communication Marketing simultaneously affect the Customer Satisfaction of Motorcycle users at Surya Gemilang Motor Surabaya Barat, Is there any influence of Service Marketing partially affect the Customer Satisfaction of Motorcycle users at Surya Gemilang Motor Surabaya West, Is there any influence of Relationship Marketing which partially affects Customer Satisfaction of Motorcycle users at Surya Gemilang Motor , W est Surabaya, Is there any influence of Communication Marketing that partially affects Customer Satisfaction of Motorcycle users at Surya Gemilang Motor, West Surabaya. The population in this study are customers who use Honda motorcycles. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The data collection technique used a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression. The results of this study indicate that Service Marketing, Relation Marketing and Communication Marketing variables simultaneously have a Positive and Significant effect on Customer Satisfaction of Motorcycle users at Surya Gemilang Motor, West Surabaya. Relationship Marketing partially has no effect on Customer Satisfaction of Motorcycle users at Surya Gemilang Motor, West Surabaya. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of internal communication and teamwork on the quality of work of employees simultaneously or partially at RSI Mabarrot MWC NU Bungah Gresik. The method used in this research is associative quantitative research. The researcher used multiple linear regression in answering the research objectives. This research is located at RSI Mabarrot MWC NU Bungah Gresik with a total of 87 respondents. The results of this study obtained test results on the formulation of the problem to prove that: First, there is a significant effect on internal communication and teamwork on the quality of employee work simultaneously. The two variables have a p value of 0.000 < 0.05. Second, there is a significant effect on internal communication and teamwork on the quality of employees' work partially. Third, the variable of internal communication and teamwork on the quality of employee work is the r value of 0.771. The value of 0.771 indicates the value of a strong relationship given the independent variable and the dependent variable. This variable has a p value of 0.000. Fourth, internal communication has a correlation value of 0.637, while teamwork has a correlation value of 0.719. Both of these variables indicate that internal communication and teamwork get a high or strong contribution. Fifth, the variable that has the highest value is teamwork, which is 0.719. Sixth, the regression model can be used as a predictor of employee performance in the future. This is due to the SEE value < standard deviation, which is 3.337 < 2.218.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the causal factors, countermeasures, and obstacles in overcoming work stress during the Covid-19 pandemic in Employees of Mina Wisata Islami Tour And Travel Haji Umrah Surabaya. This research uses qualitative research methods with case studies as a type of research. Case studies are used to observe, describe, and find a complete picture of the phenomenon related to work stress during the Covid-19 pandemic in employees of Mina Wisata Islami Tour and Travel Haji Umrah, Surabaya. The data collection technique used to dig up information from Mina Wisata Islami Tour and Travel Haji Umrah Surabaya is through interviews, observations and documentation. As a result of research obtained by researchers in the field illustrates that the factors that cause work stress in Mina Wisata Islami employees are dominated by changes in conditions and unclear information simultaneously, so employees have no power over it. As for some other stressors that can trigger the onset of work stress for employees, namely work demands, time demands, dual roles, feedback that is felt less after when carrying out work, work environment conditions, and unhuffed authority to carry out responsibilities. Related to efforts to combat employee work stress using three methods, namely social support, self-soothing, and self-evaluation. Related obstacles in stress management efforts lie in work ineffectiveness, time inefficiencies, information vagueness, and individual characteristics.

Abstract

ekonomi masyarakat pada bantuan modal bergulir melalui program Jatim Makmur di Lembaga filantropi Islam Baznas Jatim. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui implementasi pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat pada bantuan modal bergulir melalui program Jatim Makmur di Lembaga filantropi Islam Baznas Jatim dilakukan dengan berbagai cara, yaitu: memberikan bantuan secara berjenjang, mensupport jika usahanya berkembang, saling menjaga hubungan antara amil dengan mustahik sebagai komunikasi, silaturohim, dan pengontrol usaha mustahik yang diberi bantuan modal bergulir. This study aims to determine the implementation of community economic empowerment in revolving capital assistance through the East Java Prosperity program at the Baznas Islamic philanthropy Institute in East Java. This study uses a qualitative method. The results of this study are knowing the implementation of community economic empowerment on revolving capital assistance through the East Java Prosperity program at the Baznas East Java Islamic philanthropic institution carried out in various ways, namely: providing assistance in stages, supporting if operating develops, maintaining mutual relationships between amil and mustahik as communication, silaturohim, and mustahik business controllers who are given revolving capital assistance..

Abstract

Sebagai sebuah lembaga tua, pesantren memiliki sistem pengeolaan yang tardisional. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman sistem pengelolaan tradisional pesantren banyak mendapat tantangan. Pesantren dituntut untuk dapat bersaing dengan lembaga – lembaga lain yang lebih modern. Eksistensi pesantren bergantung pada kemampuan modernisasi pesantren. Modernisasi pesantren diartikan sebagai penyesuaian pesantren terhadap perkembangan zaman. Sirojuth Tholibin sebagai salah satu pondok pesantren yang melakukan modernisasi baik dari segi pendidikan maupun pengelolaan. Dari segi pendidikan Sirbin menyusun kurikulum dengan jenjang pendidikan yang jelas. Dalam segi pengelolaan Sirbin membangun dan menerapkan sistem SIAP ( Sistem Informasi Administrasi Pesantren). SIAP dapat mengolah dan memberikan informasi yang akurat dan cepat tentang keseluruhan data santri. Dengan penggunaan SIAP Sirbin mendapatkan banyak kemudahan dan keuntungan. Keuntungan profit didapatkan Sirbin pasca penggunaan SIAP. Modernisasi yang dilakukan oleh Sirbin hanya terbatas pada sektor manajerial saja. Pada sistem pendidikan hanya ada pembaharuan sistem pendidikan berjenjang. Sedang pada sektor lain, seperti metode pengajaran dan kajian kitab kuning sampai saat ini masih dipertahankan. Maka bisa disimpulkan jika Sirbin melakukan penyesuaian dengan tetap mempertahankan ciri khas dari pesantren yang tradisional.
