Abstract

PT Berkat Audio Perkasa Jaya is a company engaged in car audio installation services. The administrative process is still done manually, including customer registration, scheduling, and financial reporting, causing delays and data errors. Therefore, this study aims to design a website-based information system to manage car audio service administration. The methods used include observation, interviews, and literature review. The system is designed using UML modeling and developed using PHP and MySQL. The results show that the developed system can automate administrative processes, increase efficiency, and support real-time decision-making.

Abstract

Beauty salon (Lia Salon) is a form of business or a special place for women to beautify and beautify the body which provides care services related to skin health, cosmetic care, face, hair, nails and so on, and also sells beauty products such as facial wash, hand body soap and other beauty needs. The price offered is relatively cheap with good quality, making more and more customers. So that it requires a beauty salon governance management application to overcome problems that occur in services and transactions in the sales and registration system quickly, precisely and accurately. The problem with beauty salons (lia salons) is that the management of data collection and sales still uses a manual system by recording them in a book, which makes data difficult to find and easy to lose. The method used to build the system is using the Waterfall method and system modeling using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The results of this study are in the form of web-based applications that can help beauty salons to more easily collect consumer data, sales transactions and financial reports.

Abstract

Increasingly tight business competition encourages Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to have the right strategy in developing their business, one of which is through selecting strategic branch locations. This study aims to design and build a decision support system for MSME branch placement based on SWOT analysis combined with the Promethee method. The case study was conducted on the Cak Kotes MSME, which operates in the beverage sector and has three branches in Binjai City. SWOT analysis was used to identify internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) relevant in location selection. The Promethee method was applied to weight and rank alternative locations objectively and systematically. This web-based system was built using the CodeIgniter framework, the PHP 5.3.7 programming language, and the MySQL database. The results of this system are expected to assist MSME owners in determining the most appropriate branch location for the target market and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of business decision-making.

Abstract

Regional assets are a crucial component in managing local government resources. However, their management often encounters various obastacles, such as the accumulation of unproductive assets and the difficulty of mapping assets that must be written off. The Binjai City Government, through the Regional Finance, Revenue, and Asset Management Agency (BPKPAD), is obliigated to manage its assets, including those that have reached the end of their useful life. However, without in-depth analysis, the management of written-off asset data can become disorganized, potentially hampering the transparency and efficiency of overall asset management. To address these issuses, this study applied the K-Means algorithm with 3, 4, and 5 clusters as a method for grouping deleted asset data. The data characteristics used included the type of item, year of acquisition, and method of acquisition. The test results showed that grouping with 3 clusters resulted in a cluster variance value of 208,6587, indicating a high level of data diversity. With 4 clusters, the cluster variance value decreased to 110,5156, resulting in a better and more compact grouping. Meanwhile, testing with 5 clusters provided the most optimal results, with a cluster variance value of 79,2477. This shows that the use of 5 clusters can minimize the spread of data within each cluster, resulting in higher similarity between data compared to 3 and 4 clusters. Therefore, the application of the K-Means Algorithm to deleted Binjai City Government asset data can assist the data analysis and grouping process, where the best results were obtained in testing with 5 clusters. Abstract

Regional head elections (Pilkada) are a crucial instrument in Indonesia's democratic system. However, their implementation often faces transparency issues, such as allegations of fraud, money politics, and limited access to public information. To maintain public trust, election observers are needed whose performance can be objectively evaluated. This study developed a decision support system based on the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method to evaluate the performance of election observers in North Sumatra Province. The SMART method was chosen because it can handle multi-criteria decision-making through a process of weighting, normalization, and ranking alternatives. Research data was obtained from documentation from the North Sumatra General Elections Commission (KPU) for the 2024 period, including criteria such as mobilization of state officials, intimidation, money politics, politicization of social assistance, violations of the quiet period, and findings at polling stations (TPS). The results indicate that the SMART-based evaluation system provides a more systematic, transparent, and accountable assessment mechanism. These findings are expected to provide policy recommendations for the KPU to improve the quality of monitoring and strengthen transparency in the implementation of regional elections.

Abstract

The management of palm oil solid waste, particularly Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB), remains a major challenge in the palm oil industry due to its potential to cause environmental pollution if not properly handled. One solution to this problem is selecting appropriate disposal sites by considering various technical, environmental, and social criteria. This study aims to implement a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method for selecting palm oil waste disposal locations in Pagar Merbau. The criteria applied include land area, number of trees, soil type, plant age, nutrient requirements, and soil fertility. The system was developed using PHP and MySQL, and tested with the blackbox testing method. The results show that the system effectively supports decision-making by ranking alternative sites based on their highest preference values. Therefore, the implementation of a TOPSIS-based DSS proves to be effective in determining the most optimal location for palm oil waste disposal.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a form of a company’s social responsibility to the community. PT. UKINDO Blankahan Estate faces challenges in determining CSR aid recipients because the selection process is still conducted manually, making it prone to subjectivity.This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) for determining CSR aid recipients using the Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method with five main criteria: location distance, proposal type, amount of funds, impact scale, and proposal value. The system was designed as a web application using PHP and MySQL.The results show that the system can automatically perform normalization, weighting, and ranking processes. In the case study of proposals for the Maulid Nabi commemoration, the highest rank was obtained by Desa Blankahan with a score of 0.71460, while the lowest rank was obtained by PRM Al-Amin with a score of 0.19170. This system proves effective in assisting the company to select CSR aid recipients more objectively, efficiently, and accurately.

Abstract

Abstrak : Tenaga pendidik memiliki peran strategis dalam kemajuan pendidikan nasional, sehingga pemahaman terhadap sentimen mereka penting dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kualitas layanan pendidikan. Dalam pengolahan data sentimen, seringkali ditemui tantangan seperti ketidakseimbangan data antara sentimen mayoritas dan minoritas, serta tingginya jumlah fitur yang menyebabkan dimensionalitas data menjadi besar.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis sentimen attitude tenaga pendidik di Indonesia menggunakan metode klasifikasi Machine Learning, dengan pendekatan seleksi fitur berbasis korelasi dan penyeimbangan data melalui Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique–Edited Nearest Neighbours (SMOTE ENN). Model klasifikasi dibangun menggunakan algoritma Naïve Bayes dan Support Vector Machine (SVM).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SVM memberikan akurasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan Naïve Bayes, baik pada data asli maupun setelah penerapan SMOTE ENN. Akurasi Naïve Bayes meningkat dari 61% menjadi 89% setelah seleksi fitur berbasis korelasi, sedangkan SVM meningkat dari 69% menjadi 97%. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa kombinasi SVM, SMOTE ENN, dan seleksi fitur berbasis korelasi mampu meningkatkan akurasi klasifikasi sentimen tenaga pendidik di Indonesia secara signifikan. Kata kunci : analisis sentimen, tenaga pendidik, SVM, SMOTE, seleksi fitur Abstract : Educators play a strategic role in the progress of national education, so understanding their sentiments is important for improving their well-being and the quality of educational services. In sentiment data processing, challenges are often encountered, such as data imbalance between majority and minority sentiments, and a high number of features leading to high data dimensionality. The purpose of this study is to analyze the sentiment of Indonesian educators' attitudes using Machine Learning classification methods, with a correlation-based feature selection approach and data balancing through Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique–Edited Nearest Neighbours (SMOTE ENN). Classification models were built using the Naïve Bayes and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms. The research results show that SVM provides higher accuracy compared to Naïve Bayes, both on the original data and after applying SMOTE ENN. Naïve Bayes' accuracy increased from 61% to 89% after correlation-based feature selection, while SVM's increased from 69% to 97%. This study proves that the combination of SVM, SMOTE ENN, and correlation-based feature selection can significantly improve the accuracy of sentiment classification for Indonesian educators Keywords: Sentiment analysis, Educators, SMOTE, Feature selection

Abstract

The rapid growth of information technology requires a reliable data security system, especially for sensitive image files. The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a symmetric algorithm that is fast and efficient; however, its main weakness lies in the vulnerability of key distribution. To address this issue, this research integrates the Lucas (LUC) algorithm to secure AES keys. LUC was chosen as it is an asymmetric algorithm utilizing public and private key pairs, ensuring the confidentiality of AES encryption keys. The purpose of this study is to design and implement an image file security system by integrating AES and LUC using Python programming language with key storage in text format. The encryption process was applied to JPG and PNG files with a maximum size of 3 MB, and the encrypted as well as decrypted results were tested through several experiments. The results indicate that the system successfully encrypted and decrypted image files while maintaining AES key confidentiality through LUC protection. The integration of these two algorithms enhances data security and can serve as a reference for the development of secure digital file systems in the future.
