Abstract

The aim of this study is to provide empirical findings regarding a range of determinants that may impact accounting conservatism. Specifically, the research will examine the effects of company size, CEO ownership, and independent boards. Secondary data, specifically information derived from annual financial reports, is utilised in this study. Information for financial reports is acquired from the IDX data stream and website. From 2013 to 2022, the population of this study comprises all banking institutions listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Significantly positive effects of board independence and company size on accounting conservatism are demonstrated by the findings of this study. Furthermore, CEO ownership has a significant negative impact on accounting conservatism, according to the findings of this study. The findings of this study present a practical illustration for stakeholders regarding the responsibilities of shareholders, which may prove beneficial in overseeing the organization's operations. This research demonstrates that when a company is owned by its CEO, its conservatism decreases. The findings of this research have implications for decision-makers who rely on financial reports. Stakeholders can place trust in managers who provide information about the company through financial reports that reflect its condition. This is supported by the research results, which indicate that conservatism in practice corresponds to the political cost hypothesis, which states that as the size of a company increases, so does conservatism.

Abstract

The Indonesian Government announced the relocation of the National Capital from Jakarta to East Kalimantan Province in 2019. The term ‘Capital of the Archipelago ' or Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) was approved as the name of the new capital of the Republic of Indonesia. This study conducted visualization and bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer 1.6.20 from 100 scientific articles with the keyword "Ibu Kota Nusantara" collected from Google Scholar. The frequency of article titles relevant to IKN in 2022 was greater than in 2023. In the comparison of titles with the term IKN in 2022, there were 22 articles; in 2023, there were 15 articles, so the difference was 22/15 or 1.467. Following the 12 images of IKN, there were five images related to some scientific articles that have been published, including those related to innovation and technology where IKN was imaged as a smart city, sustainable capital, environmentally friendly, green city, and greening. However, seven images need attention for the following research topics: renewable, legal, cultural, user-friendly road, unique, city of change, and solutions for equality. This study helps provide insight as a basis for further research on various innovative themes related to IKN.

Abstract

For sharia financial institutions that runs their business based on the philosophy of the Qur'an and Sunnah, social performance is the basis for actors in interacting with the environment and each other. One method of reporting social performance for sharia companies is the Islamic Social Reporting Index method (ISR). However, this method is still considered inappropriate to be applied to sharia financial institutions, which requires sharia financial institutions to develop their own social strategies. This research aims to determine the strategy for achieving social performance in the Dau branch of the Kanindo Syariah cooperative and to dig deeper into the reasons why the ISR method is not suitable for application to Sharia Financial Institutions. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The results of the research shows that Kanindo Syariah Dau branch has a strategy consisting of collecting and dsitributing social funds internally and externally. As for the ISR method, three conclusions were obtained which are the reasons why this method is not appropriate for sharia financial institutions, (1) lack of concern for the environment, (2) lack of understanding regarding maqashid sharia, and (3) lack of suitability for the environmental theme of the institutions which operates in the financial sector. Keywords: Strategy, Social performance, Islamic Social Reporting Index, Sharia Financial Institutions, Environment.

Abstract

Sustainability is one of the main goals of an institution. In a business, sustainability can be influenced by financial and non-financial aspects. In Hindu teachings there is a teaching about Karma Phala (cause and effect) where every action will return to us, this teaching helps individuals control their attitudes in the world. The author examines the belief in karma phala in the sustainability of a financial institution in Bali which is managed by a traditional village and is known as the Lembaga Perkreditan Desa (LPD). Data sources were obtained from observation and unstructured interviews. Qualitative methods are used descriptively and focus on the interpretation of human behavior. Data processing uses stages of reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. Research shows that the teachings of karma phala have been attached to LPD supervisors, but there needs to be more emphasis on awareness of the role of supervisors in the sustainability of LPD and the profession. These results can remind us of the importance of karmic beliefs in carrying out a profession so that they are not only researched in LPD business continuity but also in other institutions.

This study aims to investigate the effects of membership programs, omnichannel strategies and digital marketing on repurchase intention on Sociolla Bali. This study employs multiple linear analysis methods using SPSS 26, the findings show that (1) membership programs have a positive influence on repurchase intention; (2) omnichannel strategy has a positive effect on repurchase intention; and (3) digital marketing has a positive effect on repurchase intention. This means that the better the membership program, omnichannel strategy and digital marketing at PT. Abstract

This research aims to analyze and demonstrate the influence of user involvement and personal technical skills on the performance of the Accounting Information System (AIS), with Work From Home (WFH) as a moderator variable. The study was conducted at the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) South Sulawesi Representative Office. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling, and data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The research findings revealed that user involvement and personal technical skills have a positive and significant impact on AIS performance. However, WFH does not have a significant effect or the ability to strengthen user involvement and personal technical skills in relation to AIS performance. The implications of this research underscore the necessity of user involvement during the development phase of accounting information systems. The study emphasizes the need for training to enhance the understanding and technical skills of accounting information system users.
