Abstract

This study examines policy strategies for addressing school dropout in Pulau Laut Utara District, Kotabaru Regency, Indonesia, an archipelagic area characterized by economic vulnerability, geographical barriers, and fragmented educational services. Using a qualitative design informed by participatory action research, data were collected through interviews, observation, and policy document analysis involving local government officials, school leaders, teachers, PKBM managers, parents, and out-of-school children. The findings indicate that dropout is not a sudden event but a gradual process shaped by household poverty, indirect schooling costs, weak learning motivation, distance to school, and limited cross-sectoral coordination. Existing policies include preventive, curative, and rehabilitative strategies; however, their implementation remains constrained by fragmented data systems, weak case-based coordination, and stigma toward nonformal education. The study contributes to place-based education policy by proposing an integrated early warning system, community-based PKBM strengthening, and collaborative governance across education, social protection, and village-level institutions.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in supporting Indonesia's economic growth through job creation, increased community income, and strengthening the local economy. However, limited access to capital, low financial literacy, and business management constraints remain obstacles for some MSMEs in developing their businesses. This study aims to analyze the implementation of productive Islamic financing in supporting MSME development and encouraging increased economic independence for communities in Indonesia using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were obtained from various scientific literature in the form of relevant national and international journals, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods to identify patterns, relationships, and previous research findings related to Islamic financing and MSMEs. The study results indicate that Islamic financing has a positive contribution in helping MSMEs gain access to capital through mechanisms based on the principles of fairness, cooperation, and risk sharing. This financing not only helps increase production capacity and business development but also plays a role in creating sustainable economic independence for communities. Furthermore, the development of financial technology such as Islamic fintech presents new opportunities to expand access to financing for MSMEs. However, the implementation of Islamic financing still faces several challenges, such as low Islamic financial literacy, limited access to formal financial services, and suboptimal business fund management. Therefore, increased financial education, business mentoring, the use of digital technology, and collaboration between the government, Islamic financial institutions, and MSMEs are needed to ensure that Islamic financing can become a more effective, inclusive, and sustainable economic empowerment instrument in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital expenditure realization, financing expenditure, and Locally-Generated Revenue (Pendapatan Asli Daerah/PAD) on the financial performance of local governments in West Nusa Tenggara Province. This research employs a quantitative approach using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method, processed based on secondary data derived from the financial reports of district/city governments in West Nusa Tenggara Province. The analysis results show that capital expenditure realization, financing expenditure, and Locally-Generated Revenue each have a positive and significant effect on local government financial performance. Optimal management of these three components has been proven to strengthen regional fiscal independence, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of budget management, and support sustainable regional development. These findings indicate that improving the quality of capital expenditure planning and realization, controlling financing expenditure, and optimizing the collection of Locally-Generated Revenue should be prioritized in the formulation of regional fiscal policy. This study is expected to serve as a reference and consideration for local governments in formulating better financial management policies to sustainably improve regional financial performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of financial performance in the relationship between foreign ownership and stock price volatility of technology companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020–2024. Using a quantitative causal approach and secondary data, the study analyzed a sample of 17 companies via panel data regression using the Common Effect Model, path analysis, and the Sobel test. The results show that foreign ownership has a significant negative effect on stock price volatility and a significant positive effect on financial performance, as measured by both ROA and ROE. Financial performance does not have a significant effect on stock price volatility. Furthermore, financial performance does not mediate the relationship between foreign ownership and stock price volatility.

Abstract

Deterministic audience targeting based on verified identity data has emerged as a promising alternative to probabilistic approaches in programmatic advertising, particularly in response to increasing data fragmentation and privacy constraints. However, empirical evidence evaluating its effectiveness in real-world campaign environments remains limited. This study presents a data-driven evaluation of telco-based deterministic targeting using campaign data from a programmatic advertising platform. A mixed-methods approach is employed by integrating quantitative performance metrics, including click-through rate (CTR), viewability rate, cost-per-click (CPC), and cost-per-mille (CPM), with qualitative insights obtained from platform users. The analysis focuses on assessing the impact of deterministic targeting on audience relevance and engagement performance across multiple campaigns. The results indicate that telco-based deterministic targeting improves audience precision and maintains stable engagement performance, particularly in terms of CTR and viewability. However, the findings also reveal that improved targeting accuracy does not necessarily translate into higher conversion outcomes, as campaign performance is influenced by additional factors such as media placement, creative execution, and platform optimization capabilities. This study contributes to the field of data-driven advertising systems by providing empirical evidence on the effectiveness of identity-based targeting in real-world settings. It further highlights the practical limitations of deterministic approaches and emphasizes the need for integrated optimization strategies in programmatic advertising ecosystem

Abstract

This study examines the effects of changes in the Final Income Tax rate for individual Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the PSA Merdeka 78 administrative penalty reduction incentive on tax revenue, with taxpayer compliance as a mediating variable at the South Makassar Primary Tax Office. A causal quantitative design was applied to 72 monthly time-series observations covering six years. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, path-analysis regressions, and the Sobel test in SPSS. Changes in the MSME final income tax rate positively affected taxpayer compliance (β=0.264; p=0.019) and tax revenue (β=0.372; p<0.001). PSA Merdeka 78 also positively affected taxpayer compliance (β=0.291; p=0.010) and tax revenue (β=0.869; p<0.001). Taxpayer compliance did not significantly affect tax revenue (β=0.026; p=0.063) and did not mediate either fiscal-policy relationship. The findings indicate that revenue improvements were driven mainly by the direct effects of rate adjustment and penalty relief rather than by changes in compliance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of spiritual leadership on the creativity of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) personnel, with psychological empowerment serving as a mediating variable, at the Education and Culture Office of Jombang Regency. This is a quantitative study employing a survey method. Data were collected via questionnaires distributed to 60 ASN personnel selected as the research sample and subsequently analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that spiritual leadership has a positive but insignificant effect on ASN creativity. Conversely, psychological empowerment has a positive and significant effect on ASN creativity and successfully mediates the relationship between spiritual leadership and creativity. These findings suggest that enhancing ASN creativity is more effectively achieved by strengthening psychological empowerment supported by spiritual leadership practices. Therefore, the organization is advised to cultivate leadership oriented toward spiritual values while simultaneously enhancing employees' perceived competence, autonomy, meaningfulness of work, and impact of work to foster creativity in the performance of duties. Future research is encouraged to expand the scope of the study and the number of respondents to achieve a higher level of generalizability.

Abstract

Growing public interest in ecological conservation has triggered a massive surge in demand for sustainable cosmetics, forcing skincare brands to implement eco-friendly marketing. However, buying decisions for sustainable skincare depend on tricky psychological dynamics, including green trust, eco-brand perception, and environmental literacy. This research explores how green brand image and ecological knowledge shape purchase intention, utilizing green trust as a mediator. Focusing on Indonesian Avoskin users, this causal quantitative study gathered empirical data from 96 respondents through a purposive online survey. Data processing was conducted via SmartPLS 4 under the PLS-SEM framework. The results indicate that green trust and environmental awareness heavily dictate consumer purchase willingness. Conversely, a green brand image fails to trigger a direct impact on buying intentions. Furthermore, both brand reputation and ecological literacy play a vital role in fostering consumer trust. Mediation analysis confirms that green trust successfully links environmental knowledge to final buying intentions, yet it cannot bridge the path from green brand image to purchase intention. These outcomes imply that boosting consumer ecological literacy and ensuring authentic green branding are the main keys to converting sustainable values into real purchases.
