Abstract

Although the Islamic insurance industry in Indonesia shows positive developments, the level of public awareness in using Islamic insurance products is still relatively low. This condition indicates that efforts to increase public knowledge, understanding, and trust in Islamic insurance still need to be optimized. This study aims to analyze the effect of Islamic Insurance Education through Social Media and the Role of Ulama on Public Awareness in Islamic Insurance in Medan City. The research data was obtained through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 30 with validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial tests (t-test), simultaneous tests (F-test), and coefficient of determination tests. The results show that Islamic Insurance Education through Social Media has a positive and significant effect on Public Awareness in Islamic Insurance (β = 0.491; p = 0.003). In addition, the Role of Ulama also has a positive and significant effect with a more dominant contribution (β = 0.919; p = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables had a positive and significant effect on Public Awareness (F = 56.667; p = 0.000).Two independent variables explain 52.9% of the variation in public awareness, while the remaining 47.1% is influenced by factors not included in the research model, based on an *Adjusted R-squared* value of 0.529. This finding indicates that the synergy between education through social media and the role of religious scholars is an effective strategy in increasing public awareness, understanding, and trust in Islamic insurance. Abstract

This study investigates how the Wrddhi Griya concept moderates the relationship between financial performance and profit growth in Village Credit Institutions (VCIs) in Badung Regency, Bali. Rather than being treated as a directly measurable variable, the Wrddhi Griya concept is conceptualized as a cultural and ethical framework whose values are operationalized through lending practices reflected in credit interest income and credit quality. The study employs annual panel data from 122 VCIs covering the period 2016–2023, resulting in 832 observations selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with a Fixed Effects Model. The findings reveal that credit interest income and credit quality have positive and significant effects on profit growth. Furthermore, the interaction between profitability and credit interest income is statistically significant, indicating that financial practices reflecting the values of the Wrddhi Griya concept strengthen the relationship between profitability and profit growth. Conversely, the interaction between profitability and credit quality is not statistically significant, suggesting that not all financial practices associated with the Wrddhi Griya concept provide the same moderating effect. These findings demonstrate that local wisdom can complement conventional financial management by encouraging ethical lending practices while maintaining institutional sustainability. This study contributes to the accounting and microfinance literature by integrating indigenous cultural values into the analysis of financial performance in customary-based microfinance institutions

Abstract

This study examines the roles of educators and education personnel in implementing risk management at SPS Al-Qur'an Al-Muhajirin Balikpapan, an Islamic-based early childhood education institution. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving one school principal, five teachers, and three parents. While prior research has largely treated school management and risk management as separate domains, this study integrates human resource roles with risk management within an Islamic early childhood education setting. Findings show that educators play a key role in identifying potential risks, safeguarding student safety, and undertaking preventive measures against risks encountered both within and outside the school environment, while the school principal manages risk-related administration, maintains facilities and infrastructure, and ensures the safety and comfort of the school community. Risk management is implemented through student supervision, safety procedures, parental communication, and a disciplinary culture grounded in Islamic values. The study contributes theoretically by strengthening the concept of risk management within Islamic education and offers practical implications regarding the importance of collaboration among school stakeholders in fostering a safe, comfortable, and inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Digital Leadership and Reward Systems in a digital work environment on Job Engagement and their implications for employee performance at PT X Regional Office Bandung. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method and an explanatory research design. The research population consisted of 120 active employees, all of whom were included as respondents through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale, while data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that Digital Leadership has a positive and significant effect on Job Engagement (β = 0.446; p = 0.000) and employee performance (β = 0.227; p = 0.022). The Reward System also has a positive and significant effect on Job Engagement (β = 0.356; p = 0.000), but it does not have a direct effect on employee performance (β = 0.081; p = 0.342). Furthermore, Job Engagement was found to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance (β = 0.448; p = 0.000) and emerged as the strongest predictor in the research model. The mediation analysis revealed that Job Engagement partially mediates the effect of Digital Leadership on employee performance and fully mediates the effect of the Reward System on employee performance. The research model explains 41.3% of the variance in Job Engagement and 38.8% of the variance in employee performance and demonstrates good predictive relevance. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening digital leadership and managing reward systems oriented toward enhancing work engagement to support employee performance in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

Contractionary fiscal policy through government budget cuts, as mandated by Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2025 with a spending efficiency value of Rp306.69 trillion, has the potential to influence investor expectations and the stability of the Indonesian capital market. This study aims to analyze the effect of government budget cut policy implementation, proxied through state expenditure realization, on the volatility of the Indonesia Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG), in both the short run and the long run, and to examine the dynamic responses and causal direction alongside the policy interest rate, exchange rate, and the ASEAN regional stock index. The study uses monthly time-series secondary data from January 2018 to December 2025 (96 observations), analyzed using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) Bounds Test and Error Correction Model (ECM) for short-run and long-run relationships, the Vector Autoregression (VAR) model as the basis for Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Forecast Error Variance Decomposition (FEVD), and the Granger Causality Test to determine the direction of causality. The results show a significant long-run cointegrating relationship (Bounds Test F-statistic = 4.6428 > I(1) Bound at α=5%). State expenditure realization has a significant positive effect on IHSG volatility in the short run, but a negative effect significant at the 10% level in the long run, indicating a pattern in which short-run shocks reverse into a long-run stabilizing effect. The policy interest rate has a significant positive long-run effect, the exchange rate has a significant positive short-run effect, while the ASEAN regional index is not significant. An Error Correction Term of -0.5615 indicates an adjustment speed of 56.15% per month, and state expenditure realization is shown to be the largest external contributor (5.50%) to the variation in IHSG volatility and to have a unidirectional causal relationship with it.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the marketing mix, consisting of product, price, place, and promotion, on customer loyalty at Alfamidi located at the Perempatan Kebun Cengkeh intersection, Ambon City. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative-causal design. A sample of 50 respondents was obtained through accidental sampling technique. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that partially, product and price have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, while place and promotion do not have a significant effect. However, simultaneously, all four marketing mix variables collectively exert a significant influence on customer loyalty, with an Adjusted R Square value of 45.8%. These findings suggest that in the context of modern retail in Ambon, consumers prioritize product variety and affordable pricing as the primary drivers of loyalty, rather than physical location and promotional activities. This study provides implications for retail management to focus their strategies on strengthening product offerings and competitive pricing to sustain customer loyalty in an increasingly saturated market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of turmeric commodities in improving farmers’ welfare from the perspective of Islamic economics in Riamau Village, Bima Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation involving 10 turmeric farmers in Riamau Village. The results of the study show that turmeric farmers in Riamau Village still sell their harvests directly to the market without intermediaries or middlemen. The selling price of turmeric ranges from IDR 30,000 per 10 kilograms, with the product sold in raw form. Turmeric production is still conducted traditionally, and the average harvest income only reaches around IDR 300,000 – 500,000 per harvest each year. This income has not been sufficient to meet daily living needs because turmeric farming is only considered an additional source of income. In addition, farmers have only received training once and still face unstable market prices. From the perspective of Islamic economics, turmeric farming practices in Riamau Village reflect the principles of honesty and transparency in transactions. However, these practices have not been optimal in realizing the welfare and public benefit (maslahah) of farmers. Therefore, government support, stronger marketing strategies, continuous training, and turmeric product processing are needed to create higher economic added value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the wage payment system for Stevedoring Workers (TKBM) and Stuffing Stripping Workers (TKSS) at the Stevedoring Workers Cooperative (TKBM) of Port Yos Sudarso Class 1 Ambon, focusing on its compliance with the principles of fairness and reasonableness. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The research informants comprised 72 individuals, including the Deputy Chairman of the TKBM Cooperative, 10 group foremen, 60 regular TKBM and TKSS workers, and one operational staff member from PT Antali Jaya Mandiri Ambon. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results indicate that the TKBM wage payment system satisfies both fairness and reasonableness principles, with actual wages ranging from Rp3,000,000 to Rp3,500,000 per month, exceeding the 2025 Maluku Provincial Minimum Wage of Rp3,141,899. Conversely, TKSS wages are only Rp1,000,000 per month, falling significantly below the minimum wage standard, thus satisfying fairness but failing reasonableness. When wages from both types of work are combined, regular workers receive total monthly earnings of Rp4,000,000 to Rp4,500,000, which satisfies both principles. This study concludes that although the wage system generally complies with the regulatory framework of Law Number 13 of 2003 and Minister of Transportation Regulation Number PM 57 of 2020, specific improvements are needed for TKSS worker remuneration to address the wage gap and ensure all port laborers receive fair and reasonable compensation.

Abstract

Increasing global trade uncertainty caused by changes in trade policies, geopolitical tensions, and international supply chain disruptions has created strategic challenges for multinational corporations highly exposed to the global economy. This study aims to analyze the effects of global trade tensions and capital structure on firm value and to examine the moderating role of profitability among multinational corporations operating in Indonesia. This research adopts a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design using data from multinational corporations listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021–2024. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 48 observations. Global trade tensions were measured using the World Trade Uncertainty Index (WTUI), capital structure was proxied by the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), firm value was measured using Tobin’s Q, and profitability was represented by Return on Assets (ROA). Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The findings reveal that global trade tensions negatively and significantly affect firm value, while capital structure has a positive and significant effect. Profitability strengthens both relationships, indicating that firm value depends on internal capabilities and responses to global external pressures.
